Psalms 126

1 A Song of the Ascents. In Jehovah's turning back [to] the captivity of Zion, We have been as dreamers.

En Jérusalem. Quand le Seigneur ramena les captifs de Sion, nous fûmes comblés de consolations.

2 Then filled [with] laughter is our mouth, And our tongue [with] singing, Then do they say among nations, 'Jehovah did great things with these.'

Alors notre bouche fut remplie de joie, et notre langue d'allégresse; alors les Gentils dirent entre eux: Pour eux le Seigneur a fait de grandes choses.

3 Jehovah did great things with us, We have been joyful.

Le Seigneur a fait de grandes choses pour nous, et nous en avons été dans la joie.

4 Turn again, O Jehovah, [to] our captivity, As streams in the south.

Seigneur, ramène nos captifs comme les torrents du Midi.

5 Those sowing in tears, with singing do reap,

Ceux qui sèment dans les larmes récolteront dans l'allégresse.

6 Whoso goeth on and weepeth, Bearing the basket of seed, Surely cometh in with singing, bearing his sheaves!

Ils allaient, ils allaient pleurant, jetant leur semence: ils reviendront dans l'allégresse, apportant leurs gerbes.
