Psalms 122

1 A Song of the Ascents, by David. I have rejoiced in those saying to me, 'To the house of Jehovah we go.'

၁ငါတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အိမ်တော်သို့ သွားကြကုန်အံ့ဟု သူတပါးတို့သည် ပြောကြသောအခါ၊ ငါသည် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းရှိ၏။

2 Our feet have been standing in thy gates, O Jerusalem!

၂အို ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၊ သင်၏တံခါးတို့အတွင်း၌ ငါတို့သည်ရပ်၍ နေကြလိမ့်မည်။

3 Jerusalem — the builded one — [Is] as a city that is joined to itself together.

၃ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သည် စေ့စပ်သော မြို့ကဲ့သို့ တည်၏။

4 For thither have tribes gone up, Tribes of Jah, companies of Israel, To give thanks to the name of Jehovah.

၄အမျိုးအနွှယ်တို့သည် ထိုမြို့သို့တက်ကြ၏။ ဣသရေလအမျိုး ထုံးစံရှိသည်အတိုင်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အမျိုးအနွယ်တို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နာမတော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းခြင်းငှါ တက်သွားကြ၏။

5 For there have sat thrones of judgment, Thrones of the house of David.

၅ထိုမြို့၌ တရားစီရင်ရာပလ္လင်၊ ဒါဝိဒ်မင်းမျိုး၏ ရာဇပလ္လင်တို့ သည်တည်ကြ၏။

6 Ask ye the peace of Jerusalem, At rest are those loving thee.

၆ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ ငြိမ်ဝပ်မည်အကြောင်း ဆု တောင်းကြလော့။ ထိုမြို့ကို မြတ်နိုးစုံမက်သော သူတို့သည် ချမ်းသာရကြပါစေသော။

7 Peace is in thy bulwark, rest in thy high places,

၇သင်၏မြို့ရိုးအတွင်း၌ ငြိမ်ဝပ်ခြင်း၊ သင်၏ဘုံ ဗိမာန်တို့၌ ချမ်းသာခြင်းရှိပါစေသော။

8 For the sake of my brethren and my companions, Let me speak, I pray thee, 'Peace [be] in thee.'

၈သင်၌ငြိမ်ဝပ်ခြင်းရှိပါစေသောဟု ငါသည် ညီအစ်ကိုအတွက်၊ အဆွေခင်ပွန်းတို့အတွက် ပြောဆို ပါမည်။

9 For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God, I seek good for thee!

၉ငါတို့ဘုရားသခင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏ အိမ်တော် ကို ထောက်၍၊ သင်၏အကျိုးကို ရှာပါမည်။
