Psalms 119
1 [Aleph.] O the happiness of those perfect in the way, They are walking in the law of Jehovah,
Beati quelli che sono integri nelle loro vie, che camminano secondo la legge dell’Eterno.
2 O the happiness of those keeping His testimonies, With the whole heart they seek Him.
Beati quelli che osservano le sue testimonianze, che lo cercano con tutto il cuore,
3 Yea, they have not done iniquity, In His ways they have walked.
ed anche non operano iniquità, ma camminano nelle sue vie.
4 Thou hast commanded us Thy precepts to keep diligently,
Tu hai ordinato i tuoi precetti perché siano osservati con cura.
5 O that my ways were prepared to keep Thy statutes,
Oh siano le mie vie dirette all’osservanza dei tuoi statuti!
6 Then I am not ashamed In my looking unto all Thy commands.
Allora non sarò svergognato quando considererò tutti i tuoi comandamenti.
7 I confess Thee with uprightness of heart, In my learning the judgments of Thy righteousness.
Io ti celebrerò con dirittura di cuore, quando avrò imparato i tuoi giusti decreti.
8 Thy statutes I keep, leave me not utterly!
Io osserverò i tuoi statuti, non abbandonarmi del tutto.
9 [Beth.] With what doth a young man purify his path? To observe — according to Thy word.
Come renderà il giovane la sua via pura? Col badare ad essa secondo la tua parola.
10 With all my heart I have sought Thee, Let me not err from Thy commands.
Io ti ho cercato con tutto il mio cuore; non lasciarmi deviare dai tuoi comandamenti.
11 In my heart I have hid Thy saying, That I sin not before Thee.
Io ho riposto la tua parola nel mio cuore per non peccare contro di te.
12 Blessed [art] Thou, O Jehovah, teach me Thy statutes.
Tu sei benedetto, o Eterno; insegnami i tuoi statuti.
13 With my lips I have recounted All the judgments of Thy mouth.
Ho raccontato con le mie labbra tutti i giudizi della tua bocca.
14 In the way of Thy testimonies I have joyed, As over all wealth.
Io gioisco nella via delle tue testimonianze, come se possedessi tutte le ricchezze.
15 In Thy precepts I meditate, And I behold attentively Thy paths.
Io mediterò sui tuoi precetti e considerò i tuoi sentieri.
16 In Thy statutes I delight myself, I do not forget Thy word.
Io mi diletterò nei tuoi statuti, non dimenticherò la tua parola.
17 [Gimel.] Confer benefits on Thy servant, I live, and I keep Thy word.
Fa’ del bene al tuo servitore perché io viva ed osservi la tua parola.
18 Uncover mine eyes, and I behold wonders out of Thy law.
Apri gli occhi miei ond’io contempli le maraviglie della tua legge.
19 A sojourner I [am] on earth, Hide not from me Thy commands.
Io sono un forestiero sulla terra; non mi nascondere i tuoi comandamenti.
20 Broken hath my soul for desire Unto Thy judgments at all times.
L’anima mia si strugge dalla brama che ha dei tuoi giudizi in ogni tempo.
21 Thou hast rebuked the cursed proud, Who are erring from Thy commands.
Tu sgridi i superbi, i maledetti, che deviano dai tuoi comandamenti.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt, For Thy testimonies I have kept.
Togli di sopra a me il vituperio e lo sprezzo, perché io ho osservato le tue testimonianze.
23 Princes also sat — against me they spoke, Thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes,
Anche quando i principi siedono e parlano contro di me, il tuo servitore medita i tuoi statuti.
24 Thy testimonies also [are] my delight, The men of my counsel!
Sì, le tue testimonianze sono il mio diletto e i miei consiglieri.
25 [Daleth.] Cleaved to the dust hath my soul, Quicken me according to Thy word.
L’anima mia è attaccata alla polvere; vivificami secondo la tua parola.
26 My ways I have recounted, And Thou answerest me, teach me Thy statutes,
Io ti ho narrato le mie vie, e tu m’hai risposto; insegnami i tuoi statuti.
27 The way of Thy precepts cause me to understand, And I meditate in Thy wonders.
Fammi intendere la via dei tuoi precetti, ed io mediterò le tue maraviglie.
28 My soul hath dropped from affliction, Establish me according to Thy word.
L’anima mia, dal dolore, si strugge in lacrime; rialzami secondo la tua parola.
29 The way of falsehood turn aside from me And with Thy law favour me.
Tieni lontana da me la via della menzogna, e, nella tua grazia, fammi intender la tua legge.
30 The way of faithfulness I have chosen, Thy judgments I have compared,
Io ho scelto la via della fedeltà, mi son posto i tuoi giudizi dinanzi agli occhi.
31 I have adhered to Thy testimonies, O Jehovah, put me not to shame.
Io mi tengo attaccato alle tue testimonianze; o Eterno, non lasciare che io sia confuso.
32 The way of Thy commands I run, For Thou dost enlarge my heart!
Io correrò per la via dei tuoi comandamenti, quando m’avrai allargato il cuore.
33 [He.] Show me, O Jehovah, the way of Thy statutes, And I keep it — [to] the end.
Insegnami, o Eterno, la via dei tuoi statuti ed io la seguirò fino alla fine.
34 Cause me to understand, and I keep Thy law, And observe it with the whole heart.
Dammi intelletto e osserverò la tua legge; la praticherò con tutto il cuore.
35 Cause me to tread in the path of Thy commands, For in it I have delighted.
Conducimi per il sentiero dei tuoi comandamenti, poiché io mi diletto in esso.
36 Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies, And not unto dishonest gain.
Inclina il mio cuore alle tue testimonianze e non alla cupidigia.
37 Remove mine eyes from seeing vanity, In Thy way quicken Thou me.
Distogli gli occhi miei dal contemplare la vanità, e vivificami nelle tue vie.
38 Establish to Thy servant Thy saying, That [is] concerning Thy fear.
Mantieni al tuo servitore la tua parola, che inculca il tuo timore.
39 Remove my reproach that I have feared, For Thy judgments [are] good.
Rimuovi da me il vituperio ch’io temo, perché i tuoi giudizi son buoni.
40 Lo, I have longed for Thy precepts, In Thy righteousness quicken Thou me,
Ecco, io bramo i tuoi precetti, vivificami nella tua giustizia.
41 [Waw.] And meet me doth Thy kindness, O Jehovah, Thy salvation according to Thy saying.
Vengano su me le tue benignità, o Eterno, e la tua salvezza, secondo la tua parola.
42 And I answer him who is reproaching me a word, For I have trusted in Thy word.
E avrò di che rispondere a chi mi fa vituperio, perché confido nella tua parola.
43 And Thou takest not utterly away From my mouth the word of truth, Because for Thy judgment I have hoped.
Non mi toglier del tutto dalla bocca la parola della verità, perché spero nei tuoi giudizi.
44 And I keep Thy law continually, To the age and for ever.
Ed io osserverò la tua legge del continuo, in sempiterno.
45 And I walk habitually in a broad place, For Thy precepts I have sought.
E camminerò con libertà, perché ho cercato i tuoi precetti.
46 And I speak of Thy testimonies before kings, And I am not ashamed.
Parlerò delle tue testimonianze davanti ai re e non sarò svergognato.
47 And I delight myself in Thy commands, That I have loved,
E mi diletterò nei tuoi comandamenti, i quali io amo.
48 And I lift up my hands unto Thy commands, That I have loved, And I do meditate on Thy statutes!
Alzerò le mie mani verso i tuoi comandamenti che amo, e mediterò i tuoi statuti.
49 [Zain.] Remember the word to Thy servant, On which Thou hast caused me to hope.
Ricordati della parola detta al tuo servitore; su di essa m’hai fatto sperare.
50 This [is] my comfort in mine affliction, That Thy saying hath quickened me.
Questo è il mio conforto nella mia afflizione; che la tua parola mi vivifica.
51 The proud have utterly scorned me, From Thy law I have not turned aside.
I superbi mi cuopron di scherno, ma io non devìo dalla tua legge.
52 I remembered Thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, And I comfort myself.
Io mi ricordo de’ tuoi giudizi antichi, o Eterno, e mi consolo.
53 Horror hath seized me, Because of the wicked forsaking Thy law.
Un’ira ardente mi prende a motivo degli empi, che abbandonano la tua legge.
54 Songs have been to me Thy statutes, In the house of my sojournings.
I tuoi statuti sono i miei cantici, nella casa del mio pellegrinaggio.
55 I have remembered in the night Thy name, O Jehovah, And I do keep Thy law.
Io mi ricordo la notte del tuo nome, o Eterno, e osservo la tua legge.
56 This hath been to me, That Thy precepts I have kept!
Questo bene mi è toccato, di osservare i tuoi precetti.
57 [Cheth.] My portion [is] Jehovah; I have said — to keep Thy words,
L’Eterno è la mia parte; ho promesso d’osservare le tue parole.
58 I appeased Thy face with the whole heart, Favour me according to Thy saying.
Io ho cercato il tuo favore con tutto il cuore: abbi pietà di me, secondo la tua parola.
59 I have reckoned my ways, And turn back my feet unto Thy testimonies.
Io ho riflettuto alle mie vie e ho rivolto i miei passi verso le tue testimonianze.
60 I have made haste, And delayed not, to keep Thy commands.
Mi sono affrettato, e non ho indugiato ad osservare i tuoi comandamenti.
61 Cords of the wicked have surrounded me, Thy law I have not forgotten.
I lacci degli empi m’hanno avviluppato, ma io non ho dimenticato la tua legge.
62 At midnight I rise to give thanks to Thee, For the judgments of Thy righteousness.
A mezzanotte io mi levo per celebrarti a motivo dei tuoi giusti giudizi.
63 A companion I [am] to all who fear Thee, And to those keeping Thy precepts.
Io sono il compagno di tutti quelli che ti temono e di quelli che osservano i tuoi precetti.
64 Of Thy kindness, O Jehovah, the earth is full, Thy statutes teach Thou me!
O Eterno, la terra è piena della tua benignità; insegnami i tuoi statuti.
65 [Teth.] Good Thou didst with Thy servant, O Jehovah, According to Thy word.
Tu hai fatto del bene al tuo servitore, o Eterno, secondo la tua parola.
66 The goodness of reason and knowledge teach me, For in Thy commands I have believed.
Dammi buon senno e intelligenza, perché ho creduto nei tuoi comandamenti.
67 Before I am afflicted, I — I am erring, And now Thy saying I have kept.
Prima che io fossi afflitto, andavo errando; ma ora osservo la tua parola.
68 Good Thou [art], and doing good, Teach me Thy statutes.
Tu sei buono e fai del bene; insegnami i tuoi statuti.
69 Forged against me falsehood have the proud, I with the whole heart keep Thy precepts.
I superbi hanno ordito menzogne contro a me, ma io osservo i tuoi precetti con tutto il cuore.
70 Insensate as fat hath been their heart, I — in Thy law I have delighted.
Il loro cuore è denso come grasso, ma io mi diletto nella tua legge.
71 Good for me that I have been afflicted, That I might learn Thy statutes.
E’ stato un bene per me l’essere afflitto, ond’io imparassi i tuoi statuti.
72 Better to me [is] the law of Thy mouth Than thousands of gold and silver!
La legge della tua bocca mi val meglio di migliaia di monete d’oro e d’argento.
73 [Yod.] Thy hands made me and establish me, Cause me to understand, and I learn Thy commands.
Le tue mani m’hanno fatto e formato; dammi intelletto e imparerò i tuoi comandamenti.
74 Those fearing Thee see me and rejoice, Because for Thy word I have hoped.
Quelli che ti temono mi vedranno e si rallegreranno, perché ho sperato nella tua parola.
75 I have known, O Jehovah, That righteous [are] Thy judgments, And [in] faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me.
Io so, o Eterno, che i tuoi giudizi son giusti, e che nella tua fedeltà m’hai afflitto.
76 Let, I pray Thee, Thy kindness be to comfort me, According to Thy saying to Thy servant.
Deh, sia la tua benignità il mio conforto, secondo la tua parola detta al tuo servitore.
77 Meet me do Thy mercies, and I live, For Thy law [is] my delight.
Vengan su me le tue compassioni, ond’io viva; perché la tua legge è il mio diletto.
78 Ashamed are the proud, For [with] falsehood they dealt perversely with me. I meditate in Thy precepts.
Sian contusi i superbi, perché, mentendo, pervertono la mia causa; ma io medito i tuoi precetti.
79 Those fearing Thee turn back to me, And those knowing Thy testimonies.
Rivolgansi a me quelli che ti temono e quelli che conoscono le tue testimonianze.
80 My heart is perfect in Thy statutes, So that I am not ashamed.
Sia il mio cuore integro nei tuoi statuti ond’io non sia confuso.
81 [Kaph.] Consumed for Thy salvation hath been my soul, For Thy word I have hoped.
L’anima mia vien meno bramando la tua salvezza; io spero nella tua parola.
82 Consumed have been mine eyes for Thy word, Saying, 'When doth it comfort me?'
Gli occhi miei vengon meno bramando la tua parola, mentre dico: Quando mi consolerai?
83 For I have been as a bottle in smoke, Thy statutes I have not forgotten.
Poiché io son divenuto come un otre al fumo; ma non dimentico i tuoi statuti.
84 How many [are] the days of Thy servant? When dost Thou execute Against my pursuers judgment?
Quanti sono i giorni del tuo servitore? Quando farai giustizia di quelli che mi perseguitano?
85 The proud have digged for me pits, That [are] not according to Thy law.
I superbi mi hanno scavato delle fosse; essi, che non agiscono secondo la tua legge.
86 All Thy commands [are] faithfulness, [With] falsehood they have pursued me, Help Thou me.
Tutti i tuoi comandamenti sono fedeltà; costoro mi perseguitano a torto; soccorrimi!
87 Almost consumed me on earth have they, And I — I have not forsaken Thy precepts.
Mi hanno fatto quasi sparire dalla terra; ma io non ho abbandonato i tuoi precetti.
88 According to Thy kindness quicken Thou me, And I keep the testimony of Thy mouth!
Vivificami secondo la tua benignità, ed io osserverò la testimonianza della tua bocca.
89 [Lamed.] To the age, O Jehovah, Thy word is set up in the heavens.
In perpetuo, o Eterno, la tua parola è stabile nei cieli.
90 To all generations Thy faithfulness, Thou didst establish earth, and it standeth.
La tua fedeltà dura d’età in età; tu hai fondato la terra ed essa sussiste.
91 According to Thine ordinances They have stood this day, for the whole [are] Thy servants.
Tutto sussiste anche oggi secondo i tuoi ordini, perché ogni cosa è al tuo servigio.
92 Unless Thy law [were] my delights, Then had I perished in mine affliction.
Se la tua legge non fosse stata il mio diletto, sarei già perito nella mia afflizione.
93 To the age I forget not Thy precepts, For by them Thou hast quickened me.
Io non dimenticherò mai i tuoi precetti, perché per essi tu mi hai vivificato.
94 I [am] Thine, save Thou me, For Thy precepts I have sought.
Io son tuo, salvami, perché ho cercato i tuoi precetti.
95 Thy wicked waited for me to destroy me, Thy testimonies I understand.
Gli empi m’hanno aspettato per farmi perire, ma io considero le tue testimonianze.
96 Of all perfection I have seen an end, Broad [is] Thy command — exceedingly!
Io ho veduto che ogni cosa perfetta ha un limite, ma il tuo comandamento ha una estensione infinita.
97 [Mem.] O how I have loved Thy law! All the day it [is] my (meditation)
Oh, quanto amo la tua legge! è la mia meditazione di tutto il giorno.
98 Than mine enemies Thy command maketh me wiser, For it [is] before me to the age.
I tuoi comandamenti mi rendon più savio dei miei nemici; perché sono sempre meco.
99 Above all my teachers I have acted wisely. For Thy testimonies [are] my (meditation)
Io ho più intelletto di tutti i miei maestri, perché le tue testimonianze son la mia meditazione.
100 Above elders I understand more, For Thy precepts I have kept.
Io ho più intelligenza de’ vecchi, perché ho osservato i tuoi precetti.
101 From every evil path I restrained my feet, So that I keep Thy word.
Io ho trattenuto i miei piedi da ogni sentiero malvagio, per osservare la tua parola.
102 From Thy judgments I turned not aside, For Thou — Thou hast directed me.
Io non mi sono distolto dai tuoi giudizi, perché tu m’hai ammaestrato.
103 How sweet to my palate hath been Thy saying, Above honey to my mouth.
Oh come son dolci le tue parole al mio palato! Son più dolci del miele alla mia bocca.
104 From Thy precepts I have understanding, Therefore I have hated every false path!
Mediante i tuoi precetti io divento intelligente; perciò odio ogni sentiero di falsità.
105 [Nun.] A lamp to my foot [is] Thy word, And a light to my path.
La tua parola è una lampada al mio piè ed una luce sul mio sentiero.
106 I have sworn, and I confirm [it], To keep the judgments of Thy righteousness.
Io ho giurato, e lo manterrò, d’osservare i tuoi giusti giudizi.
107 I have been afflicted very much, O Jehovah, quicken me, according to Thy word.
Io sono sommamente afflitto; o Eterno, vivificami secondo la tua parola.
108 Free-will-offerings of my mouth, Accept, I pray Thee, O Jehovah, And Thy judgments teach Thou me.
Deh, o Eterno, gradisci le offerte volontarie della mia bocca, e insegnami i tuoi giudizi.
109 My soul [is] in my hand continually, And Thy law I have not forgotten.
La vita mia è del continuo in pericolo ma io non dimentico la tua legge.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, And from thy precepts I wandered not.
Gli empi mi hanno teso dei lacci, ma io non mi sono sviato dai tuoi precetti.
111 I have inherited Thy testimonies to the age, For the joy of my heart [are] they.
Le tue testimonianze son la mia eredità in perpetuo, perché son la letizia del mio cuore.
112 I have inclined my heart To do Thy statutes, to the age — [to] the end!
Io ho inclinato il mio cuore a praticare i tuoi statuti, in perpetuo, sino alla fine.
113 [Samech.] Doubting ones I have hated, And Thy law I have loved.
Io odio gli uomini dal cuor doppio, ma amo la tua legge.
114 My hiding place and my shield [art] Thou, For Thy word I have hoped.
Tu sei il mio rifugio ed il mio scudo; io spero nella tua parola.
115 Turn aside from me, ye evil-doers, And I keep the commands of my God.
Dipartitevi da me, o malvagi, ed io osserverò i comandamenti del mio Dio.
116 Sustain me according to Thy saying, And I live, and Thou puttest me not to shame Because of my hope.
Sostienmi secondo la tua parola, ond’io viva, e non rendermi confuso nella mia speranza.
117 Support Thou me, and I am saved, And I look on Thy statutes continually.
Sii il mio sostegno, e sarò salvo, e terrò del continuo i tuoi statuti dinanzi agli occhi.
118 Thou hast trodden down All going astray from Thy statutes, For falsehood [is] their deceit.
Tu disprezzi tutti quelli che deviano dai tuoi statuti, perché la loro frode è falsità.
119 Dross! Thou hast caused to cease All the wicked of the earth; Therefore I have loved Thy testimonies.
Tu togli via come schiuma tutti gli empi dalla terra; perciò amo le tue testimonianze.
120 Trembled from Thy fear hath my flesh, And from Thy judgments I have been afraid!
La mia carne rabbrividisce per lo spavento di te, e io temo i tuoi giudizi.
121 [Ain.] I have done judgment and righteousness, Leave me not to mine oppressors.
Io ho fatto ciò che è diritto e giusto; non abbandonarmi ai miei oppressori.
122 Make sure Thy servant for good, Let not the proud oppress me.
Da’ sicurtà per il bene del tuo servitore, e non lasciare che i superbi m’opprimano.
123 Mine eyes have been consumed for Thy salvation. And for the saying of Thy righteousness.
Gli occhi miei vengon meno, bramando la tua salvezza e la parola della tua giustizia.
124 Do with Thy servant according to Thy kindness. And Thy statutes teach Thou me.
Opera verso il tuo servitore secondo la tua benignità, e insegnami i tuoi statuti.
125 Thy servant [am] I — cause me to understand, And I know Thy testimonies.
Io sono tuo servitore; dammi intelletto, perché possa conoscere le tue testimonianze.
126 Time for Jehovah to work! they have made void Thy law.
E’ tempo che l’Eterno operi; essi hanno annullato la tua legge.
127 Therefore I have loved Thy commands Above gold — even fine gold.
Perciò io amo i tuoi comandamenti più dell’oro, più dell’oro finissimo.
128 Therefore all my appointments I have declared wholly right, Every path of falsehood I have hated!
Perciò ritengo diritti tutti i tuoi precetti, e odio ogni sentiero di menzogna.
129 [Pe.] Wonderful [are] Thy testimonies, Therefore hath my soul kept them.
Le tue testimonianze sono maravigliose; perciò l’anima mia le osserva.
130 The opening of Thy words enlighteneth, Instructing the simple.
La dichiarazione delle tue parole illumina; dà intelletto ai semplici.
131 My mouth I have opened, yea, I pant, For, for Thy commands I have longed.
Io ho aperto la bocca e ho sospirato perché ho bramato i tuoi comandamenti.
132 Look unto me, and favour me, As customary to those loving Thy name.
Volgiti a me ed abbi pietà di me, com’è giusto che tu faccia a chi ama il tuo nome.
133 My steps establish by Thy saying, And any iniquity doth not rule over me.
Rafferma i miei passi nella tua parola, e non lasciare che alcuna iniquità mi domini.
134 Ransom me from the oppression of man, And I observe Thy precepts,
Liberami dall’oppressione degli uomini, ed io osserverò i tuoi precetti.
135 Thy face cause to shine on Thy servant, And teach me Thy statutes.
Fa’ risplendere il tuo volto sul tuo servitore, e insegnami i tuoi statuti.
136 Rivulets of waters have come down mine eyes, Because they have not kept Thy law!
Rivi di lacrime mi scendon giù dagli occhi, perché la tua legge non è osservata.
137 [Tzade.] Righteous [art] Thou, O Jehovah, And upright [are] Thy judgments.
Tu sei giusto, o Eterno, e diritti sono i tuoi giudizi.
138 Thou hast appointed Thy testimonies, Righteous and exceeding faithful,
Tu hai prescritto le tue testimonianze con giustizia e con grande fedeltà.
139 Cut me off hath my zeal, For mine adversaries forgot Thy words.
Il mio zelo mi consuma perché i miei nemici han dimenticato le tue parole.
140 Tried [is] thy saying exceedingly, And Thy servant hath loved it.
La tua parola è pura d’ogni scoria; perciò il tuo servitore l’ama.
141 Small I [am], and despised, Thy precepts I have not forgotten.
Io son piccolo e sprezzato, ma non dimentico i tuoi precetti.
142 Thy righteousness [is] righteousness to the age, And Thy law [is] truth.
La tua giustizia è una giustizia eterna, e la tua legge è verità.
143 Adversity and distress have found me, Thy commands [are] my delights.
Distretta e tribolazione m’hanno còlto, ma i tuoi comandamenti sono il mio diletto.
144 The righteousness of Thy testimonies [is] to Cause me to understand, and I live!
Le tue testimonianze sono giuste in eterno; dammi intelletto ed io vivrò.
145 [Koph.] I have called with the whole heart, Answer me, O Jehovah, Thy statutes I keep,
Io grido con tutto il cuore; rispondimi, o Eterno! Io osserverò i tuoi statuti.
146 I have called Thee, save Thou me, And I do keep Thy testimonies.
Io t’invoco; salvami, e osserverò le tue testimonianze.
147 I have gone forward in the dawn, and I cry, For Thy word I have hoped.
Io prevengo l’alba e grido; io spero nella tua parola.
148 Mine eyes have gone before the watches, To meditate in Thy saying.
Gli occhi miei prevengono lo vigilie della notte, per meditare la tua parola.
149 My voice hear, according to Thy kindness, Jehovah, according to Thy judgment quicken me.
Ascolta la mia voce secondo la tua benignità; o Eterno, vivificami secondo la tua giustizia.
150 Near have been my wicked pursuers, From Thy law they have been far off.
Si accostano a me quelli che van dietro alla scelleratezza; essi son lontani dalla tua legge.
151 Near [art] Thou, O Jehovah, And all Thy commands [are] truth.
Tu sei vicino, o Eterno, e tutti i tuoi comandamenti son verità.
152 Of old I have known Thy testimonies, That to the age Thou hast founded them!
Da lungo tempo so dalle tue testimonianze che tu le hai stabilite in eterno.
153 [Resh.] See my affliction, and deliver Thou me, For Thy law I have not forgotten.
Considera la mia afflizione, e liberami; perché non ho dimenticato la tua legge.
154 Plead my plea, and redeem me, According to Thy saying quicken me.
Difendi tu la mia causa e riscattami; vivificami secondo la tua parola.
155 Far from the wicked [is] salvation, For Thy statutes they have not sought.
La salvezza è lungi dagli empi, perché non cercano i tuoi statuti.
156 Thy mercies [are] many, O Jehovah, According to Thy judgments quicken me.
Le tue compassioni son grandi, o Eterno; vivificami secondo i tuoi giudizi.
157 Many [are] my pursuers, and adversaries, From Thy testimonies I have not turned aside.
I miei persecutori e i miei avversari son molti, ma io non devìo dalle tue testimonianze.
158 I have seen treacherous ones, And grieve myself, Because Thy saying they have not kept.
Io ho veduto gli sleali e ne ho provato orrore; perché non osservano la tua parola.
159 See, for thy precepts I have loved, Jehovah, According to Thy kindness quicken me.
Vedi come amo i tuoi precetti! O Eterno, vivificami secondo la tua benignità.
160 The sum of Thy word [is] truth, And to the age [is] every judgment of Thy righteousness!
La somma della tua parola è verità; e tutti i giudizi della tua giustizia durano in eterno.
161 [Shin.] Princes have pursued me without cause, And because of Thy words was my heart afraid.
I principi m’hanno perseguitato senza ragione, ma il mio cuore ha timore delle tue parole.
162 I do rejoice concerning Thy saying, As one finding abundant spoil.
Io mi rallegro della tua parola, come uno che trova grandi spoglie.
163 Falsehood I have hated, yea I abominate [it], Thy law I have loved.
Io odio e abomino la menzogna, ma amo la tua legge.
164 Seven [times] in a day I have praised Thee, Because of the judgments of Thy righteousness.
Io ti lodo sette volte al giorno per i giudizi della tua giustizia.
165 Abundant peace have those loving Thy law, And they have no stumbling-block.
Gran pace hanno quelli che amano la tua legge, e non c’è nulla che possa farli cadere.
166 I have waited for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy commands I have done.
Io ho sperato nella tua salvezza, o Eterno, e ho messo in pratica i tuoi comandamenti.
167 Kept hath my soul Thy testimonies, And I do love them exceedingly.
L’anima mia ha osservato le tue testimonianze, ed io le amo grandemente.
168 I have kept Thy precepts and Thy testimonies, For all my ways are before Thee!
Io ho osservato i tuoi precetti e le tue testimonianze, perché tutte le mie vie ti stanno dinanzi.
169 [Taw.] My loud cry cometh near before Thee, O Jehovah; According to Thy word cause me to understand.
Giunga il mio grido dinanzi a te, o Eterno; dammi intelletto secondo la tua parola.
170 My supplication cometh in before Thee, According to Thy saying deliver Thou me.
Giunga la mia supplicazione in tua presenza; liberami secondo la tua parola.
171 My lips do utter praise, For Thou dost teach me Thy statutes.
Le mie labbra esprimeranno la tua lode, perché tu m’insegni i tuoi statuti.
172 My tongue doth sing of Thy saying, For all Thy commands [are] righteous.
La mia lingua celebrerà la tua parola, perché tutti i tuoi comandamenti sono giustizia.
173 Thy hand is for a help to me, For Thy commands I have chosen.
La tua mano mi aiuti, perché ho scelto i tuoi precetti.
174 I have longed for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy law [is] my delight.
Io bramo la tua salvezza, o Eterno, e la tua legge è il mio diletto.
175 My soul liveth, and it doth praise Thee, And Thy judgments do help me.
L’anima mia viva, ed essa ti loderà; e mi soccorrano i tuoi giudizi.
176 I wandered as a lost sheep, seek Thy servant, For Thy precepts I have not forgotten!
Io vo errando come pecora smarrita; cerca il tuo servitore, perché io non dimentico i tuoi comandamenti.
