Psalms 119
1 [Aleph.] O the happiness of those perfect in the way, They are walking in the law of Jehovah,
Kũrathimwo-rĩ, nĩ andũ arĩa mĩthiĩre yao ĩtarĩ ũcuuke, o arĩa mathiiaga kũringana na watho wa Jehova.
2 O the happiness of those keeping His testimonies, With the whole heart they seek Him.
Kũrathimwo-rĩ, nĩ andũ arĩa marũmagia kĩrĩra gĩake, o arĩa mamũrongoragia na ngoro yothe.
3 Yea, they have not done iniquity, In His ways they have walked.
Matirĩ ũndũ mũũru mekaga; no kũgera mageragĩra njĩra ciake.
4 Thou hast commanded us Thy precepts to keep diligently,
Wee nĩũheanĩte mawatho marĩa marĩ ma gwathĩkagĩrwo na kĩyo.
5 O that my ways were prepared to keep Thy statutes,
Naarĩ korwo mĩthiĩre yakwa ĩkĩrĩ mĩkindĩrĩku ũhoro-inĩ wa gwathĩkagĩra kĩrĩra gĩaku!
6 Then I am not ashamed In my looking unto all Thy commands.
Hĩndĩ ĩyo ndingĩconorithio rĩrĩa ngũcũũrania maathani maku mothe.
7 I confess Thee with uprightness of heart, In my learning the judgments of Thy righteousness.
Nĩndĩrĩkũgoocaga ndĩ na ngoro nũngĩrĩru, o ngĩĩrutaga ũhoro wa mawatho maku ma kĩhooto.
8 Thy statutes I keep, leave me not utterly!
Nĩndĩrĩathĩkagĩra kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku; ndũgakĩndiganĩrie o biũ.
9 [Beth.] With what doth a young man purify his path? To observe — according to Thy word.
Mũndũ mwĩthĩ-rĩ, angĩiga mũtũũrĩre wake ũrĩ mũtheru atĩa? Nĩ na ũndũ wa gũtũũra athĩkagĩra kiugo gĩaku.
10 With all my heart I have sought Thee, Let me not err from Thy commands.
Ngũrongoragia na ngoro yakwa yothe; ndũkanareke njũrũũre ndigane na maathani maku.
11 In my heart I have hid Thy saying, That I sin not before Thee.
Nĩhithĩte kiugo gĩaku thĩinĩ wa ngoro yakwa, nĩguo ndikae gũkwĩhĩria.
12 Blessed [art] Thou, O Jehovah, teach me Thy statutes.
Wee Jehova, ũrokĩgoocwo; kĩndute kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
13 With my lips I have recounted All the judgments of Thy mouth.
Nĩndĩriugaga na ngacookera na mĩromo yakwa ũhoro wa mawatho mothe marĩa moimĩte kanua gaku.
14 In the way of Thy testimonies I have joyed, As over all wealth.
Nĩngenagio nĩkũrũmĩrĩra kĩrĩra gĩaku, o ta ũrĩa mũndũ akenagĩra kũgĩa na ũtonga mũnene.
15 In Thy precepts I meditate, And I behold attentively Thy paths.
Nĩndĩrĩcũũranagia mawatho maku na ngatarania njĩra yaku.
16 In Thy statutes I delight myself, I do not forget Thy word.
Nĩngenagĩra kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku; ndigatiganĩria kiugo gĩaku.
17 [Gimel.] Confer benefits on Thy servant, I live, and I keep Thy word.
Niĩ ndungata yaku njĩka wega, na nĩngũtũũra muoyo; niĩ nĩndĩrĩathĩkagĩra kiugo gĩaku.
18 Uncover mine eyes, and I behold wonders out of Thy law.
Hingũra maitho makwa nĩguo nyone maũndũ ma magegania marĩa marĩ watho-inĩ waku.
19 A sojourner I [am] on earth, Hide not from me Thy commands.
Niĩ ndĩ mũgeni gũkũ thĩ; ndũkaahithe maathani maku.
20 Broken hath my soul for desire Unto Thy judgments at all times.
Ngoro yakwa nĩĩrahĩĩahĩĩa nĩ kwĩrirĩria mawatho maku o mahinda mothe.
21 Thou hast rebuked the cursed proud, Who are erring from Thy commands.
Wee nĩũkũũmaga arĩa etĩĩi, o acio manyiitĩtwo nĩ kĩrumi, na arĩa morũũraga magatiga maathani maku.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt, For Thy testimonies I have kept.
Njehereria kĩnyũrũri na kũmenwo, nĩgũkorwo ndũũrĩte nũmĩtie kĩrĩra gĩaku.
23 Princes also sat — against me they spoke, Thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes,
O na gũtuĩka aathani maikaraga thĩ hamwe makanjambia, ndungata yaku nĩĩrĩcũũranagia kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
24 Thy testimonies also [are] my delight, The men of my counsel!
Kĩrĩra gĩaku nĩkĩo ngenagĩra; nĩkĩo kĩĩheaga mataaro.
25 [Daleth.] Cleaved to the dust hath my soul, Quicken me according to Thy word.
Ngometio thĩ rũkũngũ-inĩ; tũũria muoyo wakwa kũringana na kiugo gĩaku.
26 My ways I have recounted, And Thou answerest me, teach me Thy statutes,
Nĩndakwĩrire mĩthiĩre yakwa nawe ũkĩnjĩtĩka; nduta kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
27 The way of Thy precepts cause me to understand, And I meditate in Thy wonders.
Menyithia ũrutani wa mawatho maku; na niĩ nĩndĩrĩcũũranagia ũhoro wa magegania maku.
28 My soul hath dropped from affliction, Establish me according to Thy word.
Ngoro yakwa nĩ nogu nĩ ũndũ wa kĩeha; njĩkĩra hinya kũringana na kiugo gĩaku.
29 The way of falsehood turn aside from me And with Thy law favour me.
Njeheranĩria na mĩthiĩre ya maheeni; nĩ ũndũ wa ũtugi waku nduta watho waku.
30 The way of faithfulness I have chosen, Thy judgments I have compared,
Niĩ-rĩ, ndĩĩthuurĩire njĩra ya ma; matua maku ndĩmaigĩte ngoro-inĩ yakwa.
31 I have adhered to Thy testimonies, O Jehovah, put me not to shame.
Wee Jehova, nĩnũmĩtie kĩrĩra gĩaku; ndũkanareke njonorithio.
32 The way of Thy commands I run, For Thou dost enlarge my heart!
Hanyũkaga o na njĩra ya maathani maku, nĩgũkorwo nĩwohorithĩtie ngoro yakwa.
33 [He.] Show me, O Jehovah, the way of Thy statutes, And I keep it — [to] the end.
Wee Jehova, nduta kũrũmĩrĩra kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku, na niĩ ndĩkĩrũmie nginya mũthia.
34 Cause me to understand, and I keep Thy law, And observe it with the whole heart.
He ũmenyo, na nĩndĩrĩrũmagia watho waku na ndĩwathĩkagĩre na ngoro yakwa yothe.
35 Cause me to tread in the path of Thy commands, For in it I have delighted.
Ngeragĩria njĩra-inĩ cia maathani maku, nĩgũkorwo nĩmo ngenagĩra.
36 Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies, And not unto dishonest gain.
Erekeria ngoro yakwa kũrĩ kĩrĩra gĩaku, nĩguo ĩtige kwerekera ũhoro-inĩ wa gwĩtongia.
37 Remove mine eyes from seeing vanity, In Thy way quicken Thou me.
Girĩrĩria maitho makwa matige kwĩrorera maũndũ ma tũhũ; tũũria muoyo wakwa kũringana na kiugo gĩaku.
38 Establish to Thy servant Thy saying, That [is] concerning Thy fear.
Hingĩria ndungata yaku kĩĩranĩro gĩaku, nĩgeetha wĩtigagĩrwo.
39 Remove my reproach that I have feared, For Thy judgments [are] good.
Njehereria njono iria ndĩĩtigagĩra, nĩgũkorwo mawatho maku nĩ mega.
40 Lo, I have longed for Thy precepts, In Thy righteousness quicken Thou me,
Kaĩ nĩndĩĩriragĩria mawatho maku-ĩ! Tũũria muoyo wakwa nĩ ũndũ wa ũthingu waku.
41 [Waw.] And meet me doth Thy kindness, O Jehovah, Thy salvation according to Thy saying.
Wee Jehova, wendo waku ũrĩa ũtathiraga ũronginyĩra, ũhonokio waku ũnginyĩre kũringana na kĩĩranĩro gĩaku;
42 And I answer him who is reproaching me a word, For I have trusted in Thy word.
nĩguo ngoragwo na ũndũ wa gũcookeria andũ arĩa maanyũrũragia, nĩgũkorwo niĩ ndĩhokete kiugo gĩaku.
43 And Thou takest not utterly away From my mouth the word of truth, Because for Thy judgment I have hoped.
Ndũkandunye kiugo kĩa ma kuuma kanua-inĩ gakwa, nĩgũkorwo njigĩte mwĩhoko wakwa mawatho-inĩ maku.
44 And I keep Thy law continually, To the age and for ever.
Ngũtũũra njathĩkagĩra watho waku, nginya tene na tene.
45 And I walk habitually in a broad place, For Thy precepts I have sought.
Ndĩrĩthiiaga ndĩ na wĩyathi, nĩgũkorwo nĩmaathaga mawatho maku.
46 And I speak of Thy testimonies before kings, And I am not ashamed.
Nĩndĩrĩaragia ũhoro wa kĩrĩra gĩaku mbere ya athamaki na ndirĩconokaga,
47 And I delight myself in Thy commands, That I have loved,
nĩgũkorwo nĩngenagĩra maathani maku tondũ nĩndĩmendete.
48 And I lift up my hands unto Thy commands, That I have loved, And I do meditate on Thy statutes!
Ndĩrĩambararagia moko makwa kũrĩ maathani maku marĩa nyendete, na ndĩcũũranagie igũrũ rĩa kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
49 [Zain.] Remember the word to Thy servant, On which Thou hast caused me to hope.
Ririkana kiugo gĩaku kũrĩ ndungata yaku, nĩgũkorwo nĩũũheete kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro.
50 This [is] my comfort in mine affliction, That Thy saying hath quickened me.
Ũndũ ũrĩa ũũhooreragia ndĩ mĩnyamaro-inĩ nĩ ũyũ: atĩ kĩĩranĩro gĩaku nĩkĩo gĩtũũragia muoyo wakwa.
51 The proud have utterly scorned me, From Thy law I have not turned aside.
Andũ arĩa etĩĩi maanyũrũragia matekwĩgirĩrĩria, no nditiganagĩria watho waku.
52 I remembered Thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, And I comfort myself.
Nĩndirikanaga mawatho maku ma tene, Wee Jehova, namo nĩmahooreragia.
53 Horror hath seized me, Because of the wicked forsaking Thy law.
Nyiitagwo nĩ mangʼũrĩ nĩ ũndũ wa andũ arĩa aaganu, o acio maatiganĩirie watho waku.
54 Songs have been to me Thy statutes, In the house of my sojournings.
Ũhoro wa kĩrĩra gĩaku nĩguo ũtuĩkĩte rwĩmbo rwakwa, o kũrĩa guothe ingĩikara.
55 I have remembered in the night Thy name, O Jehovah, And I do keep Thy law.
Ũtukũ ndirikanaga rĩĩtwa rĩaku, ngakĩrũmia watho waku Wee Jehova.
56 This hath been to me, That Thy precepts I have kept!
Ũũ nĩguo ngoretwo ngĩĩka: nĩnjathĩkagĩra mawatho maku.
57 [Cheth.] My portion [is] Jehovah; I have said — to keep Thy words,
Wee Jehova, Wee nĩwe igai rĩakwa; nĩngwĩrĩte atĩ ndĩathĩkagĩra ciugo ciaku.
58 I appeased Thy face with the whole heart, Favour me according to Thy saying.
Maathĩĩte ũthiũ waku na ngoro yakwa yothe; nginyagĩria wega waku o ta ũrĩa wĩranĩire.
59 I have reckoned my ways, And turn back my feet unto Thy testimonies.
Nĩndĩcũũranĩtie ũhoro wa mĩthiĩre yakwa, ngagĩcookia makinya makwa kũrĩ kĩrĩra gĩaku.
60 I have made haste, And delayed not, to keep Thy commands.
Nĩngũhiũha na ndigũcererwo gwathĩkĩra maathani maku.
61 Cords of the wicked have surrounded me, Thy law I have not forgotten.
O na kũngĩtuĩka atĩ andũ arĩa aaganu no manjohe na mĩhĩndo-rĩ, ndingĩriganĩrwo nĩ watho waku.
62 At midnight I rise to give thanks to Thee, For the judgments of Thy righteousness.
Ũtukũ gatagatĩ njarahũkaga ngũcookerie ngaatho nĩ ũndũ wa mawatho maku ma kĩhooto.
63 A companion I [am] to all who fear Thee, And to those keeping Thy precepts.
Niĩ ndĩ mũrata wa andũ arĩa othe magwĩtigĩrĩte, o arĩa othe marũmagĩrĩra mawatho maku.
64 Of Thy kindness, O Jehovah, the earth is full, Thy statutes teach Thou me!
Wee Jehova, thĩ ĩiyũrĩtwo nĩ wendo waku; nduta kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
65 [Teth.] Good Thou didst with Thy servant, O Jehovah, According to Thy word.
Wee Jehova, ĩka ndungata yaku kũringana na kiugo gĩaku.
66 The goodness of reason and knowledge teach me, For in Thy commands I have believed.
Nduta gũkũũrana maũndũ wega o na kũmamenya, nĩgũkorwo nĩnjĩtĩkĩtie maathani maku.
67 Before I am afflicted, I — I am erring, And now Thy saying I have kept.
Mbere itanoona thĩĩna nĩndahĩtagia, no rĩu nĩnjathĩkagĩra kiugo gĩaku.
68 Good Thou [art], and doing good, Teach me Thy statutes.
Wee ũrĩ mwega, na nĩwĩkaga o wega; nduta kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
69 Forged against me falsehood have the proud, I with the whole heart keep Thy precepts.
O na gũtuĩka andũ arĩa etĩĩi nĩmahakĩte gĩko na ndeto cia maheeni, ngũtũũra nũmĩtie mawatho maku na ngoro yakwa yothe.
70 Insensate as fat hath been their heart, I — in Thy law I have delighted.
Ngoro ciao nĩ nyũmũ na itirĩ tha, no niĩ ngenagĩra watho waku.
71 Good for me that I have been afflicted, That I might learn Thy statutes.
Warĩ ũndũ mwega niĩ nyone thĩĩna, nĩgeetha ndĩĩrute kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
72 Better to me [is] the law of Thy mouth Than thousands of gold and silver!
Watho ũrĩa uumĩte kanua gaku nĩ wa bata mũno harĩ niĩ, gũkĩra ngiri cia icunjĩ cia betha na thahabu.
73 [Yod.] Thy hands made me and establish me, Cause me to understand, and I learn Thy commands.
Moko maku nĩmo manyũmbire na magĩĩthondeka ũguo ndariĩ; he ũtaũku nĩguo ndĩĩrute maathani maku.
74 Those fearing Thee see me and rejoice, Because for Thy word I have hoped.
Andũ arĩa magwĩtigĩrĩte marokenaga rĩrĩa maanyona, nĩgũkorwo nĩnjigĩte mwĩhoko wakwa harĩ kiugo gĩaku.
75 I have known, O Jehovah, That righteous [are] Thy judgments, And [in] faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me.
Jehova, nĩnjũũĩ atĩ mawatho maku nĩ ma ũthingu, na ũnyonetie thĩĩna nĩ ũndũ wa wĩhokeku waku.
76 Let, I pray Thee, Thy kindness be to comfort me, According to Thy saying to Thy servant.
Wendani waku ũrĩa ũtathiraga ũrotuĩka wa kũũhooreria, kũringana na kĩĩranĩro gĩaku kĩrĩa werĩire ndungata yaku.
77 Meet me do Thy mercies, and I live, For Thy law [is] my delight.
Ĩtĩkĩra tha ciaku inginyĩre nĩguo ndũũre muoyo, nĩgũkorwo watho waku nĩguo ngenagĩra.
78 Ashamed are the proud, For [with] falsehood they dealt perversely with me. I meditate in Thy precepts.
Andũ arĩa etĩĩi maroconorithio nĩ ũndũ wa kũnjĩka ũũru hatarĩ gĩtũmi; no niĩ-rĩ, ndĩrĩcũũranagia ũhoro wa mawatho maku.
79 Those fearing Thee turn back to me, And those knowing Thy testimonies.
Andũ arĩa magwĩtigĩrĩte maronjookerera, o acio mataũkĩirwo nĩ kĩrĩra gĩaku.
80 My heart is perfect in Thy statutes, So that I am not ashamed.
Ngoro yakwa ĩroaga ũcuuke ũhoro-inĩ wa kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku, nĩguo ndikanaconorithio.
81 [Kaph.] Consumed for Thy salvation hath been my soul, For Thy word I have hoped.
Ngoro yakwa ĩringĩkaga nĩ kwĩrirĩria ũhonokio waku, no niĩ njigĩte mwĩhoko wakwa harĩ kiugo gĩaku.
82 Consumed have been mine eyes for Thy word, Saying, 'When doth it comfort me?'
Maitho makwa nĩmaraaga hinya nĩ gũtũũra njũthĩrĩirie kĩĩranĩro gĩaku; ngakĩũria atĩrĩ, “Ũgaakĩĩhooreria rĩ?”
83 For I have been as a bottle in smoke, Thy statutes I have not forgotten.
O na gũtuĩka haana ta mondo ya rũũa ya ndibei ĩigĩtwo ndogo-inĩ, ndiriganagĩrwo nĩ kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
84 How many [are] the days of Thy servant? When dost Thou execute Against my pursuers judgment?
Niĩ ndungata yaku-rĩ, ngweterera nginya rĩ? Arĩa maanyariiraga ũkaamaherithia rĩ?
85 The proud have digged for me pits, That [are] not according to Thy law.
Andũ arĩa etĩĩi manyenjeire marima nĩguo ngwe kuo, o acio makararagia watho waku.
86 All Thy commands [are] faithfulness, [With] falsehood they have pursued me, Help Thou me.
Maathani maku mothe nĩ ma kwĩhokwo; ndeithia, nĩgũkorwo andũ maanyariiraga hatarĩ gĩtũmi.
87 Almost consumed me on earth have they, And I — I have not forsaken Thy precepts.
Maatigĩtie hanini maaniine nyume thĩ ĩno, no nditiganĩirie mawatho maku.
88 According to Thy kindness quicken Thou me, And I keep the testimony of Thy mouth!
Menyerera muoyo wakwa kũringana na wendo waku, na ndĩathĩkagĩra kĩrĩra gĩa kanua gaku.
89 [Lamed.] To the age, O Jehovah, Thy word is set up in the heavens.
Wee Jehova, kiugo gĩaku gĩtũũraga tene na tene; gĩtũũraga kĩĩhaandĩte wega kũu igũrũ.
90 To all generations Thy faithfulness, Thou didst establish earth, and it standeth.
Wĩhokeku waku nĩ wa kuuma njiarwa nginya njiarwa; nĩwe warũmirie thĩ, nayo ĩgagĩikara o ĩrũmĩte.
91 According to Thine ordinances They have stood this day, for the whole [are] Thy servants.
Mawatho maku matũũraga nginya ũmũthĩ, nĩgũkorwo indo ciothe nĩwe itungataga.
92 Unless Thy law [were] my delights, Then had I perished in mine affliction.
Korwo watho waku tiguo ũngenagia, ingĩanathira nĩ mĩnyamaro yakwa.
93 To the age I forget not Thy precepts, For by them Thou hast quickened me.
Niĩ ndirĩ hĩndĩ ngaariganĩrwo nĩ mawatho maku, nĩgũkorwo ũndũũrĩtie muoyo nĩ ũndũ wamo.
94 I [am] Thine, save Thou me, For Thy precepts I have sought.
Honokia, nĩgũkorwo ndĩ waku, na nĩĩmaathĩte mawatho maku.
95 Thy wicked waited for me to destroy me, Thy testimonies I understand.
Andũ arĩa aaganu manjoheirie nĩguo maaniine, no niĩ ndĩrĩĩcũũranagia o ũhoro wa kĩrĩra gĩaku.
96 Of all perfection I have seen an end, Broad [is] Thy command — exceedingly!
Ũndũ o wothe mũkinyanĩru wega, nĩnyonete nĩ ũrĩ mũthia; no maathani maku matirĩ mũhaka.
97 [Mem.] O how I have loved Thy law! All the day it [is] my (meditation)
Kaĩ nĩnyendete watho waku-ĩ! Ndindaga ngĩtarania ũhoro waguo mũthenya wothe.
98 Than mine enemies Thy command maketh me wiser, For it [is] before me to the age.
Maathani maku matũmaga njũhĩge gũkĩra thũ ciakwa, nĩgũkorwo makoragwo hamwe na niĩ hĩndĩ ciothe.
99 Above all my teachers I have acted wisely. For Thy testimonies [are] my (meditation)
Niĩ ndĩ na ũmenyo mũingĩ gũkĩra arutani akwa othe, nĩgũkorwo ndaranagia ũhoro wa mawatho maku.
100 Above elders I understand more, For Thy precepts I have kept.
Niĩ ndĩ na ũmenyo mũingĩ gũkĩra athuuri, nĩgũkorwo njathĩkagĩra kĩrĩra gĩaku.
101 From every evil path I restrained my feet, So that I keep Thy word.
Nĩndigagĩrĩria magũrũ makwa matikagerere njĩra o yothe njũru, nĩgeetha njathĩkagĩre kiugo gĩaku.
102 From Thy judgments I turned not aside, For Thou — Thou hast directed me.
Niĩ nditiganĩirie mawatho maku, nĩgũkorwo Wee nĩwe ũndutĩte ũhoro ũcio.
103 How sweet to my palate hath been Thy saying, Above honey to my mouth.
Kaĩ ciugo ciaku irĩ mũrĩo ngĩcicama-ĩ, irĩ mũrĩo gũkĩra ũũkĩ ũrĩ kanua-inĩ gakwa!
104 From Thy precepts I have understanding, Therefore I have hated every false path!
Ngĩĩaga na ũtaũku nĩ ũndũ wa kĩrĩra gĩaku; nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩthũire njĩra o yothe njũru.
105 [Nun.] A lamp to my foot [is] Thy word, And a light to my path.
Kiugo gĩaku nĩkĩo tawa wa magũrũ makwa, na ũtheri wa kũmũrĩka njĩra yakwa.
106 I have sworn, and I confirm [it], To keep the judgments of Thy righteousness.
Nĩndĩĩhĩtĩte mwĩhĩtwa na ngagwatĩria, atĩ nĩndĩrĩrũmagĩrĩra mawatho maku ma ũthingu.
107 I have been afflicted very much, O Jehovah, quicken me, according to Thy word.
Nĩthĩĩnĩkĩte mũno; Wee Jehova, tũũria muoyo wakwa, kũringana na kiugo gĩaku.
108 Free-will-offerings of my mouth, Accept, I pray Thee, O Jehovah, And Thy judgments teach Thou me.
Wee Jehova, ĩtĩkĩra ũgooci wa kwĩyendera wa kanua gakwa, na ũkĩndute mawatho maku.
109 My soul [is] in my hand continually, And Thy law I have not forgotten.
O na gũtuĩka ndũũraga nyiitĩrĩire muoyo wakwa moko-inĩ makwa-rĩ, ndingĩriganĩrwo nĩ watho waku.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, And from thy precepts I wandered not.
Andũ arĩa aaganu nĩmanyambĩire mũtego, no ndirĩ ndahĩtia kĩrĩra gĩaku.
111 I have inherited Thy testimonies to the age, For the joy of my heart [are] they.
Mawatho maku nĩmo igai rĩakwa nginya tene; nĩmo gĩkeno kĩa ngoro yakwa.
112 I have inclined my heart To do Thy statutes, to the age — [to] the end!
Ngoro yakwa nĩĩtuĩte kũrũmagia kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku o nginya mũthia.
113 [Samech.] Doubting ones I have hated, And Thy law I have loved.

114 My hiding place and my shield [art] Thou, For Thy word I have hoped.
Wee nĩwe rĩũrĩro rĩakwa na ngo yakwa; njigĩte mwĩhoko wakwa kiugo-inĩ gĩaku.
115 Turn aside from me, ye evil-doers, And I keep the commands of my God.
Njehererai, inyuĩ eeki ũũru, nĩguo ngĩrũmie maathani ma Ngai wakwa!
116 Sustain me according to Thy saying, And I live, and Thou puttest me not to shame Because of my hope.
Nyiitagĩrĩra kũringana na kĩĩranĩro gĩaku, na nĩngũtũũra muoyo; ndũkareke kĩĩrĩgĩrĩro gĩakwa kĩharagane.
117 Support Thou me, and I am saved, And I look on Thy statutes continually.
Ndiiragĩrĩra, na nĩngũhonokio; ngũtũũra ndĩĩte uuge waku.
118 Thou hast trodden down All going astray from Thy statutes, For falsehood [is] their deceit.
Nĩũregaga arĩa othe matiganaga na kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku, nĩgũkorwo kwĩheenia kũu meheenagia nakuo nĩ gwa tũhũ.
119 Dross! Thou hast caused to cease All the wicked of the earth; Therefore I have loved Thy testimonies.
Arĩa othe aaganu a gũkũ thĩ ũmateaga ta gĩko; nĩ ũndũ ũcio niĩ nĩnyendete kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
120 Trembled from Thy fear hath my flesh, And from Thy judgments I have been afraid!
Mwĩrĩ wakwa nĩũinainaga nĩgũgwĩtigĩra; njikaraga na guoya mũnene nĩ ũndũ wa mawatho maku.
121 [Ain.] I have done judgment and righteousness, Leave me not to mine oppressors.
Niĩ njĩkĩte maũndũ ma ũthingu na ma kĩhooto; ndũkandiganĩrie harĩ arĩa maahinyagĩrĩria.
122 Make sure Thy servant for good, Let not the proud oppress me.
Menyerera ũgima wa ndungata yaku; ndũkareke andũ arĩa etĩĩi maahinyĩrĩrie.
123 Mine eyes have been consumed for Thy salvation. And for the saying of Thy righteousness.
Maitho makwa nĩmaraaga hinya nĩgũtũũra njũũthĩrĩirie ũhonokio waku, ngacũthĩrĩria kĩĩranĩro gĩaku kĩa ũthingu.
124 Do with Thy servant according to Thy kindness. And Thy statutes teach Thou me.
Ĩkaga ndungata yaku kũringana na wendo waku, na ũndutage kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
125 Thy servant [am] I — cause me to understand, And I know Thy testimonies.
Niĩ ndĩ ndungata yaku; he gũkũũrana maũndũ, nĩguo hote gũtaũkĩrwo nĩ kĩrĩra gĩaku.
126 Time for Jehovah to work! they have made void Thy law.
Wee Jehova, hĩndĩ nĩnginyu wĩke ũndũ, tondũ andũ nĩmathũkĩtie watho waku.
127 Therefore I have loved Thy commands Above gold — even fine gold.
Tondũ nĩnyendete maathani maku gũkĩra thahabu, ngamenda mũno gũkĩra thahabu ĩrĩa therie,
128 Therefore all my appointments I have declared wholly right, Every path of falsehood I have hated!
na tondũ nĩnduĩte mawatho maku mothe nĩmagĩrĩire, nĩthũire njĩra o yothe ĩtarĩ ya ma.
129 [Pe.] Wonderful [are] Thy testimonies, Therefore hath my soul kept them.
Kĩrĩra gĩaku nĩ kĩa magegania; nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩndĩrĩgĩathĩkagĩra.
130 The opening of Thy words enlighteneth, Instructing the simple.
Ciugo ciaku ciataũrwo nĩirehaga ũtheri; nĩciũhĩgagia andũ arĩa matarĩ oogĩ.
131 My mouth I have opened, yea, I pant, For, for Thy commands I have longed.
Njathamĩtie kanua gakwa ngahũma nĩ ũndũ wa kwĩrirĩria maathani maku.
132 Look unto me, and favour me, As customary to those loving Thy name.
Njerekera na ũnjiguĩre tha, o ta ũrĩa wĩkaga andũ arĩa mendete rĩĩtwa rĩaku.
133 My steps establish by Thy saying, And any iniquity doth not rule over me.
Rũngagĩrĩria makinya makwa kũringana na kiugo gĩaku; ndũkareke njathagwo nĩ wĩhia o na ũrĩkũ.
134 Ransom me from the oppression of man, And I observe Thy precepts,
Ngũũra kuuma ũhiinyanĩrĩria wa andũ, nĩguo njathĩkagĩre mawatho maku.
135 Thy face cause to shine on Thy servant, And teach me Thy statutes.
Tũma ũthiũ waku warĩre ndungata yaku, na ũndutage kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
136 Rivulets of waters have come down mine eyes, Because they have not kept Thy law!
Maitho makwa manyũrũrũkagia maithori ta rũũĩ, nĩgũkorwo andũ matirathĩkĩra watho waku.
137 [Tzade.] Righteous [art] Thou, O Jehovah, And upright [are] Thy judgments.
Wee Jehova, ũrĩ mũthingu, na mawatho maku nĩmagĩrĩire.
138 Thou hast appointed Thy testimonies, Righteous and exceeding faithful,
Mawatho marĩa ũheanĩte nĩ ma ũthingu; nĩ ma kwĩhokwo kũna.
139 Cut me off hath my zeal, For mine adversaries forgot Thy words.
Kĩyo gĩakwa nĩkĩĩnogetie, nĩgũkorwo thũ ciakwa nĩcitiganĩirie ciugo ciaku.
140 Tried [is] thy saying exceedingly, And Thy servant hath loved it.
Ciĩranĩro ciaku nĩthuuranĩre o biũ, na ndungata yaku nĩĩciendete.
141 Small I [am], and despised, Thy precepts I have not forgotten.
O na gũtuĩka ndirĩ bata na nĩnyararĩtwo-rĩ, ndiriganagĩrwo nĩ mawatho maku.
142 Thy righteousness [is] righteousness to the age, And Thy law [is] truth.
Ũthingu waku nĩ wa gũtũũra tene na tene, naguo watho waku nĩ wa ma.
143 Adversity and distress have found me, Thy commands [are] my delights.
Ngoretwo nĩ mathĩĩna na mĩnyamaro, no maathani maku nĩmo ngenagĩra.
144 The righteousness of Thy testimonies [is] to Cause me to understand, and I live!
Kĩrĩra gĩaku nĩ kĩa ma nginya tene; kĩĩhe ũtaũku nĩguo ndũũre muoyo.
145 [Koph.] I have called with the whole heart, Answer me, O Jehovah, Thy statutes I keep,
Ndĩragũkaĩra na ngoro yakwa yothe, Wee Jehova, njĩtĩka, na nĩndĩrĩathĩkagĩra kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
146 I have called Thee, save Thou me, And I do keep Thy testimonies.
Wee nĩwe ndĩrakaĩra, honokia na nĩndĩrĩmenyagĩrĩra mawatho maku.
147 I have gone forward in the dawn, and I cry, For Thy word I have hoped.
Njũkagĩra tene gũtanakĩa, ngakũrĩrĩra nĩguo ũndeithie; njigĩte mwĩhoko wakwa kiugo-inĩ gĩaku.
148 Mine eyes have gone before the watches, To meditate in Thy saying.
Maitho makwa maikaraga mahingũkĩte matuanĩra-inĩ mothe ma arangĩri, nĩguo ndaranagie ũhoro wa ciĩranĩro ciaku.
149 My voice hear, according to Thy kindness, Jehovah, according to Thy judgment quicken me.
Igua mũgambo wakwa kũringana na wendo waku; Wee Jehova, tũũria muoyo wakwa, kũringana na mawatho maku.
150 Near have been my wicked pursuers, From Thy law they have been far off.
Andũ arĩa mathugundaga maũndũ ma wĩki naaĩ nĩmanguhĩrĩirie, no-o nĩmaraihanĩrĩirie na watho waku.
151 Near [art] Thou, O Jehovah, And all Thy commands [are] truth.
No Wee Jehova, ũikaraga hakuhĩ, na maathani maku mothe nĩ ma ma.
152 Of old I have known Thy testimonies, That to the age Thou hast founded them!
Matukũ-inĩ ma tene nĩndamenyire kuuma kĩrĩra-inĩ gĩaku, atĩ wagĩthondekire kĩrĩ gĩa gũtũũra nginya tene.
153 [Resh.] See my affliction, and deliver Thou me, For Thy law I have not forgotten.
Rora gũthĩĩnĩka gwakwa na ũndeithũre, nĩgũkorwo ndiriganĩirwo nĩ watho waku.
154 Plead my plea, and redeem me, According to Thy saying quicken me.
Ndũĩrĩra na ũkĩngũũre; tũũria muoyo wakwa kũringana na kĩĩranĩro gĩaku.
155 Far from the wicked [is] salvation, For Thy statutes they have not sought.
Ũhonokio nĩũraihĩrĩirie andũ arĩa aaganu, nĩgũkorwo matirongoragia kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
156 Thy mercies [are] many, O Jehovah, According to Thy judgments quicken me.
Wee Jehova, tha ciaku nĩ nyingĩ; tũũria muoyo wakwa kũringana na mawatho maku.
157 Many [are] my pursuers, and adversaries, From Thy testimonies I have not turned aside.
Andũ arĩa maanyariiraga nĩ aingĩ, no ndirĩ ndahutatĩra kĩrĩra gĩaku.
158 I have seen treacherous ones, And grieve myself, Because Thy saying they have not kept.
Njũthagĩrĩria arĩa matarĩ na wĩtĩkio ngoro, nĩgũkorwo matiathĩkagĩra kiugo gĩaku.
159 See, for thy precepts I have loved, Jehovah, According to Thy kindness quicken me.
Ta kĩone ũrĩa nyendete mawatho maku; tũũria muoyo wakwa, Wee Jehova, kũringana na wendo waku.
160 The sum of Thy word [is] truth, And to the age [is] every judgment of Thy righteousness!
Ciugo ciaku ciothe nĩ cia ma; mawatho maku mothe nĩ ma ũthingu na nĩ ma gũtũũra tene na tene.
161 [Shin.] Princes have pursued me without cause, And because of Thy words was my heart afraid.
Aathani maanyariiraga hatarĩ gĩtũmi, no ngoro yakwa ĩinainagio nĩ kiugo gĩaku.
162 I do rejoice concerning Thy saying, As one finding abundant spoil.
Ngenagĩra kĩĩranĩro gĩaku, o ta ũrĩa mũndũ atahĩte indo nyingĩ akenaga.
163 Falsehood I have hated, yea I abominate [it], Thy law I have loved.
Nĩmenete na ngathũũra maheeni, no nĩnyendete watho waku.
164 Seven [times] in a day I have praised Thee, Because of the judgments of Thy righteousness.
O mũthenya ngũgoocaga maita mũgwanja nĩ ũndũ wa mawatho maku ma ũthingu.
165 Abundant peace have those loving Thy law, And they have no stumbling-block.
Arĩa mendete watho waku nĩ marĩ thayũ mũingĩ, na gũtirĩ kĩndũ kĩngĩtũma mahĩngwo.
166 I have waited for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy commands I have done.
Njetagĩrĩra ũhonokio waku, Wee Jehova, na ngarũmĩrĩra maathani maku.
167 Kept hath my soul Thy testimonies, And I do love them exceedingly.
Njathĩkagĩra kĩrĩra gĩaku, nĩgũkorwo nĩndĩkĩendete mũno.
168 I have kept Thy precepts and Thy testimonies, For all my ways are before Thee!
Njathĩkagĩra mawatho maku na kĩrĩra gĩaku, nĩgũkorwo mĩthiĩre yakwa yothe nĩũmĩũĩ.
169 [Taw.] My loud cry cometh near before Thee, O Jehovah; According to Thy word cause me to understand.
Wee Jehova-rĩ, gũkaya gwakwa kũrokinya harĩwe; he gũtaũkĩrwo kũringana na kiugo gĩaku.
170 My supplication cometh in before Thee, According to Thy saying deliver Thou me.
Mathaithana makwa marokinya harĩwe; ndeithũra kũringana na kĩĩranĩro gĩaku.
171 My lips do utter praise, For Thou dost teach me Thy statutes.
Mĩromo yakwa ĩrĩkũgoocaga hĩndĩ ciothe, nĩgũkorwo nĩũndutaga kĩrĩra kĩa watho waku.
172 My tongue doth sing of Thy saying, For all Thy commands [are] righteous.
Rũrĩmĩ rwakwa nĩrũkĩine ũhoro wa kiugo gĩaku, nĩgũkorwo maathani maku mothe nĩ ma ũthingu.
173 Thy hand is for a help to me, For Thy commands I have chosen.
Guoko gwaku nĩgũkĩĩhaarĩrie kũndeithia, nĩgũkorwo mawatho maku nĩmo niĩ ndĩthuurĩire.
174 I have longed for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy law [is] my delight.
Ũhonokio waku nĩguo ndĩĩriragĩria, Wee Jehova, naguo watho waku nĩguo ngenagĩra.
175 My soul liveth, and it doth praise Thee, And Thy judgments do help me.
Ndĩrogĩtũũra muoyo nĩguo ngũgoocage, namo mawatho maku nĩmatũũre mandeithagia.
176 I wandered as a lost sheep, seek Thy servant, For Thy precepts I have not forgotten!
Niĩ nĩhĩtĩtie njĩra ta ngʼondu yũrĩte. Gĩcarie ndungata yaku, nĩgũkorwo ndiriganĩirwo nĩ maathani maku.
