Psalms 116
1 I have loved, because Jehovah heareth My voice, my supplication,
Yo amo al Señor porque Él me escucha, escucha mi clamor pidiendo ayuda.
2 Because He hath inclined His ear to me, And during my days I call.
Lo invocaré mientras viva porque Él atiende lo que digo.
3 Compassed me have cords of death, And straits of Sheol have found me, Distress and sorrow I find. (Sheol h7585)
Estuve atrapado por las trampas de la muerte; Estuve cautivo por los terrores de la tumba. Todo lo que experimenté fue dolor y sufrimiento. (Sheol h7585)
4 And in the name of Jehovah I call: I pray Thee, O Jehovah, deliver my soul,
Entonces clamé al Señor, “¡Dios, por favor, sálvame!”
5 Gracious [is] Jehovah, and righteous, Yea, our God [is] merciful,
¡El Señor es justo y bueno! ¡Nuestro Dios es un Dios compasivo!
6 A preserver of the simple [is] Jehovah, I was low, and to me He giveth salvation.
El Señor cuida de los indefensos; cuando fui derribado Él me salvó.
7 Turn back, O my soul, to thy rest, For Jehovah hath conferred benefits on thee.
Puedo estar en paz otra vez porque el Señor ha sido bueno conmigo.
8 For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, my feet from overthrowing.
Porque me has salvado de la muerte, has detenido mi llanto, y me has salvado de caer.
9 I walk habitually before Jehovah In the lands of the living.
Ahora puedo caminar con el Señor en la tierra de los vivos.
10 I have believed, for I speak, I — I have been afflicted greatly.
Confié en ti, y clamé a ti diciendo, “¡Estoy sufriendo terriblemente!”
11 I said in my haste, 'Every man [is] a liar.'
Estaba tan molesto que dije, “¡Todos son unos mentirosos!”
12 What do I return to Jehovah? All His benefits [are] upon me.
¿Qué puedo darle al Señor en agradecimiento por todo lo que ha hecho por mí?
13 The cup of salvation I lift up, And in the name of Jehovah I call.
Levantaré la copa de la salvación y adoraré al Señor.
14 My vows to Jehovah let me complete, I pray you, before all His people.
Cumpliré mis promesas al Señor para que todos puedan ver.
15 Precious in the eyes of Jehovah [is] the death for His saints.
Le duele al Señor cuando mueren aquellos que ama.
16 Cause [it] to come, O Jehovah, for I [am] Thy servant. I [am] Thy servant, son of Thy handmaid, Thou hast opened my bonds.
Señor, realmente soy tu siervo, te sirvo tal y como y mi madre lo hizo antes de mí, sin embargo, tú me has liberado.
17 To Thee I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanks, And in the name of Jehovah I call.
Te ofreceré sacrificio en acción de gracias y te alabaré.
18 My vows to Jehovah let me complete, I pray you, before all His people,
Cumpliré mis promesas en presencia de todo tu pueblo,
19 In the courts of the house of Jehovah, In thy midst, O Jerusalem, praise ye Jah!
en la casa del Señor, justo en Jerusalén. ¡Alabado sea el Señor!
