1 In the going out of Israel from Egypt, The house of Jacob from a strange people,
Rĩrĩa Isiraeli moimire bũrũri wa Misiri, nyũmba ya Jakubu ĩkiuma kũrĩ andũ a rũthiomi rũngĩ-rĩ,
2 Judah became His sanctuary, Israel his dominion.
Juda gwatuĩkire handũ ha Ngai haamũre, na Isiraeli gũgĩtuĩka nĩkuo arĩathanaga.
3 The sea hath seen, and fleeth, The Jordan turneth backward.
Iria rĩonire ũguo rĩkĩũra, naruo Rũũĩ rwa Jorodani rũgĩcooka na thuutha;
4 The mountains have skipped as rams, Heights as sons of a flock.
Irĩma igĩtũhatũũha ta ndũrũme, natuo tũrĩma tũgĩtũhatũũha ta tũgondu.
5 What — to thee, O sea, that thou fleest? O Jordan, thou turnest back!
Kaĩ wonire atĩa, wee iria, nĩguo ũre, nawe Jorodani, tondũ wacookire na thuutha?
6 O mountains, ye skip as rams! O heights, as sons of a flock!
Inyuĩ irĩma, muonete kĩ, nĩguo mũtũhatũũhe ta ndũrũme, na inyuĩ tũrĩma, nĩguo mũtũhatũũhe ta tũgondu?
7 From before the Lord be afraid, O earth, From before the God of Jacob,
Wee thĩ, ta kĩinaine ũrĩ mbere ya Mwathani, ũrĩ hau mbere ya Ngai ũcio wa Jakubu,
8 He is turning the rock to a pool of waters, The flint to a fountain of waters!
o we ũcio wagarũrire rwaro rwa ihiga rũgĩtuĩka karia ka maaĩ, narĩo ihiga rĩũmũ rĩgĩtuĩka ithima cia maaĩ.
