Psalms 113

1 Praise ye Jah! Praise, ye servants of Jehovah. Praise the name of Jehovah.

Halleluja! Lova, de Herrens tenarar, lova Herrens namn!

2 The name of Jehovah is blessed, From henceforth, and unto the age.

Herrens namn vere lova frå no og til æveleg tid!

3 From the rising of the sun unto its going in, Praised [is] the name of Jehovah.

Frå solekoma og til soleglad er Herrens namn høglova.

4 High above all nations [is] Jehovah, Above the heavens [is] his honour.

Høg yver alle heidningar er Herren, yver himmelen er hans æra.

5 Who [is] as Jehovah our God, He is exalting [Himself] to sit?

Kven er som Herren, vår Gud? han som sit so høgt,

6 He is humbling [Himself] to look On the heavens and on the earth.

han som ser so djupt i himmelen og på jordi,

7 He is raising up from the dust the poor, From a dunghill He exalteth the needy.

han som reiser den ringe or moldi og lyfter den fatige or skarnet

8 To cause to sit with princes, With the princes of His people.

til å setja honom hjå hovdingar, hjå sitt folks hovdingar;

9 Causing the barren one of the house to sit, A joyful mother of sons; praise ye Jah!

han som let ufruktsame bu heime som ei glad barnemor. Halleluja!
