< Psalms 109 >

1 To the Overseer. — A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, be not silent,
Pou direktè koral la; Yon Sòm David O Bondye lwanj mwen an, pa rete an silans!
2 For the mouth of wickedness, and the mouth of deceit, Against me they have opened, They have spoken with me — A tongue of falsehood, and words of hatred!
Paske yo te ouvri bouch desepsyon ak mechanste a kont mwen. Yo te pale kont mwen avèk yon lang k ap manti.
3 They have compassed me about, And they fight me without cause.
Anplis, yo te antoure mwen avèk pawòl ki plen rayisman E yo te goumen kont mwen san koz.
4 For my love they oppose me, and I — prayer!
An echanj pou lanmou m, yo te aji kon akizatè mwen; men mwen toujou ap priye.
5 And they set against me evil for good, And hatred for my love.
Konsa, yo te rekonpanse mwen mal pou byen ak rayisman pou lanmou m.
6 Appoint Thou over him the wicked, And an adversary standeth at his right hand.
Plase yon nonm mechan sou li e kite yon akizatè kanpe sou men dwat Li.
7 In his being judged, he goeth forth wicked, And his prayer is for sin.
Lè l fin jije, kite li sòti koupab e kite lapriyè li devni peche.
8 His days are few, his oversight another taketh,
Kite jou li yo vin mwens. Kite yon lòt moun pran pozisyon li.
9 His sons are fatherless, and his wife a widow.
Kite pitit li yo rete san papa, e kite madanm li vin vèv.
10 And wander continually do his sons, Yea, they have begged, And have sought out of their dry places.
Kite pitit li yo mache egare, e mande nan lari. Kite yo chache yo nan kay kraze a kote yo rete.
11 An exactor layeth a snare for all that he hath, And strangers spoil his labour.
Kite moun li dwe, sezi tout sa li posede e etranje yo piyaje tout sa li pwodwi.
12 He hath none to extend kindness, Nor is there one showing favour to his orphans.
Kite l rive ke nanpwen moun ki pou ofri li lanmou dous, Ni okenn moun ki pou fè gras a òfelen li yo.
13 His posterity is for cutting off, In another generation is their name blotted out.
Kite desandan li yo koupe retire nèt. Nan jenerasyon ki swiv yo, kite non yo efase nèt.
14 The iniquity of his fathers Is remembered unto Jehovah, And the sin of his mother is not blotted out.
Kite inikite a papa zansèt li yo vin sonje devan SENYÈ a, E pa kite peche a manman l yo vin efase.
15 They are before Jehovah continually, And He cutteth off from earth their memorial.
Kite yo devan SENYÈ a tout tan pou L koupe retire memwa yo sou latè,
16 Because that he hath not remembered to do kindness, And pursueth the poor man and needy, And the smitten of heart — to slay,
akoz li pa t sonje montre lanmou dous, men te pèsekite e te aflije malere a, ak (sila) ki dekouraje nan kè l la, pou l mete yo a lanmò.
17 And he loveth reviling, and it meeteth him, And he hath not delighted in blessing, And it is far from him.
Anplis, li te renmen bay madichon. Konsa, madichon an te retounen sou li. Li pa t renmen beni. Konsa, sa te rete lwen l.
18 And he putteth on reviling as his robe, And it cometh in as water into his midst, And as oil into his bones.
Men li te abiye li menm ak madichon tankou vètman, e sa te fonse nan kò l tankou dlo, tankou lwil, sa rive nan zo li.
19 It is to him as apparel — he covereth himself, And for a continual girdle he girdeth it on.
Kite sa rive li tankou yon vètman k ap sèvi pou kouvri kò l, paske sentiwon sa a ap toujou mare l.
20 This [is] the wage of mine accusers from Jehovah, And of those speaking evil against my soul.
Kite SENYÈ a bay sa kon rekonpans akizatè mwen yo, ak (sila) ki pale mal kont nanm mwen yo.
21 And Thou, O Jehovah Lord, Deal with me for Thy name's sake, Because Thy kindness [is] good, deliver me.
Men Ou menm, O Bondye, SENYÈ a, aji dousman avè m pou koz a non Ou. Akoz lanmou dous Ou a bon, delivre m,
22 For I [am] poor and needy, And my heart hath been pierced in my midst.
paske mwen aflije e malere. Kè m blese anndan m.
23 As a shadow when it is stretched out I have gone, I have been driven away as a locust.
Mwen ap pase tankou yon lonbraj ki vin long. Mwen souke retire tankou krikèt volan.
24 My knees have been feeble from fasting, And my flesh hath failed of fatness.
Jenou m vin fèb nan fè jèn e chè m vin mèg, san grès.
25 And I — I have been a reproach to them, They see me, they shake their head.
Mwen menm, anplis, te vin yon repwòch a yo menm. Lè yo wè m, yo souke tèt yo.
26 Help me, O Jehovah my God, Save me, according to Thy kindness.
Fè m sekou, O SENYÈ, Bondye mwen an. Sove mwen selon lanmou dous Ou a.
27 And they know that this [is] Thy hand, Thou, O Jehovah, Thou hast done it.
Konsa, ya konnen ke sa te fèt pa men Ou, ke se Ou menm, SENYÈ a, ki te fè l.
28 They revile, and Thou dost bless, They have risen, and are ashamed, And Thy servant doth rejoice.
Kite yo menm bay madichon sou mwen, men pou Ou menm, bay benediksyon. Lè yo leve, yo va wont, men sèvitè Ou a va fè kè kontan.
29 Mine accusers put on blushing, and are covered, As an upper robe [is] their shame.
Kite akizatè mwen yo vin abiye ak dezonè. Kite yo kouvri yo menm ak pwòp wont yo tankou se avèk yon manto.
30 I thank Jehovah greatly with my mouth, And in the midst of many I praise Him,
Avèk bouch mwen, mwen va bay anpil remèsiman a SENYÈ a. Nan mitan gwo foul la, mwen va louwe Li.
31 For He standeth at the right hand of the needy, To save from those judging his soul.
Paske Li kanpe kote men dwat malere a pou sove li de men a (sila) ki jije nanm li yo.
