< Proverbs 30 >
1 Words of a Gatherer, son of an obedient one, the declaration, an affirmation of the man: — I have wearied myself [for] God, I have wearied myself [for] God, and am consumed.
Jakeh chapa Agur thuseidoh ho hichea hi kiphong doh ahi. O Yahweh Pakai keima kachol in kalhasam lheh tai.
2 For I am more brutish than any one, And have not the understanding of a man.
Keima mihem khat hina angol-a kahi, chule mihem thil hetkhen themna bang in hetkhenna kainei tapoi.
3 Nor have I learned wisdom, Yet the knowledge of Holy Ones I know.
Keiman chihna thucheng kaja kha hih laijin, mithengpa kiti jong kaphongdoh kha naipoi.
4 Who went up to heaven, and cometh down? Who hath gathered the wind in his fists? Who hath bound waters in a garment? Who established all ends of the earth? What [is] His name? and what His son's name? Surely thou knowest!
Elohim Pathen tailou koiham vanna kal touva hung kumsuh kit? Koiham akhut tum'a huituh theija? Koiham aponsil a twi chun thei? Koiham vannoi pumpi sem? Ama chu amin ipi ham chule achapa min ipiham? Nang in vang nahet chetset ahi.
5 Every saying of God [is] tried, A shield He [is] to those trusting in Him.
Elohim Pathen thucheng jouse hi adihsoh keijin, Ama henga kiselte ding in lim-in apang e.
6 Add not to His words, lest He reason with thee, And thou hast been found false.
Elohim Pathen seidohsa thucheng belap hih hel in, achuti louva ahileh aman naphosal ding; mijou nahi lo ding ahi.
7 Two things I have asked from Thee, Withhold not from me before I die.
O Yahweh Pakai thilni kangai chae, kathi kahsen hiche thilni hi nei-it peh hihbeh in.
8 Vanity and a lying word put far from me, Poverty or wealth give not to me, Cause me to eat the bread of my portion,
Amasan jouthu kaseilouna dingin neipan pin, aninan vaichatna le haona neipe hih in; keima nehkhop bep ding in neivah jing tan.
9 Lest I become satiated, and have denied, And have said, 'Who [is] Jehovah?' And lest I be poor, and have stolen, And have laid hold of the name of my God.
Ajeh chu keima hung haobeh seh leng, “Yahweh Pakai chu koiham?” tia nangma douna thu kasei lo ding; vaicha behseh kit leng kaguchat lo kit ding, Elohim, ka Pathen mintheng kasuh thang bep ding ahi.
10 Accuse not a servant unto his lord, Lest he disesteem thee, and thou be found guilty.
Soh chu apupa kom'a heh hih beh in, ajeh chu aman nahin sapset a naje lo thei ahi.
11 A generation [is], that lightly esteemeth their father, And their mother doth not bless.
Mi kimkhat chu apute apate gaosap ngam jong aum in, hijeh chun apite anute chan geijin phatthei achang pouve.
12 A generation — pure in their own eyes, But from their own filth not washed.
Amaho mitmu jenga theng kisa jong aum uvin, hinlah athen lounauva kon in khatcha angim deh pouve.
13 A generation — how high are their eyes, Yea, their eyelids are lifted up.
Kimkhat machu amitmu uvin akichoi sang un, amit dang-chung uva chunglam ve jong aum un ahi.
14 A generation — swords [are] their teeth, And knives — their jaw-teeth, To consume the poor from earth, And the needy from [among] men.
Amahon chemjam tobang ha hemtah anei jun, chule aha jouseu jong chemcha hemtah tobang ahin; leiset chunga vaichate bahgam ding angaito uvin, mihem lah'a neilalte bah gam din akigo uve.
15 To the leech [are] two daughters, 'Give, give, Lo, three things are not satisfied, Four have not said 'Sufficiency;'
Vot'in nou ni anei jin, “Neipeh ben, neipeh ben,” ati lhon e. Chule chim louhel a thil thum aum in; thil in jong, “Alhingsel tai,” atideh pon ahi.
16 Sheol, and a restrained womb, Earth — it [is] not satisfied [with] water, And fire — it hath not said, 'Sufficiency,' (Sheol )
Noimigam achinga naobu ahin, leiset inla twi ducha jinga um, meika diuje jun la “Alhingsel tai,” atideh poi. (Sheol )
17 An eye that mocketh at a father, And despiseth to obey a mother, Dig it out do ravens of the valley, And eat it do young eagles.
Koi hileh apa mitche keh dan a, chule anu thua nung lou chu phaicham'a um va-ah ten akilo diu, mu-thong hon along aneh diu ahi.
18 Three things have been too wonderful for me, Yea, four that I have not known:
Kei ding in thil thum hi datmah umtah ahin, chule kahet khen thei lou thil Li aum in ahi.
19 The way of the eagle in the heavens, The way of a serpent on a rock, The way of a ship in the heart of the sea, And the way of a man in youth.
Vanlaijol'a muvanlai lenna lampi, Songpi chunga gul kitholna lampi, Twikhanglen lailunga touna-kong kitolna lampi, chule pasal khat in nungah khat alungset jidan.
20 So — the way of an adulterous woman, She hath eaten and hath wiped her mouth, And hath said, 'I have not done iniquity.'
Numei-jong chondan hi hiti ahi: an anen, amuh akitheh jol loijin, “Keiman thil dihlou ima kabolpoi,” tin aseije.
21 For three things hath earth been troubled, And for four — it is not able to bear:
Thil thum hin leiset ahot-ling jin, thil Li vang leiset in athoh joupoi.
22 For a servant when he reigneth, And a fool when he is satisfied with bread,
Soh chu hung leng changa, chule mingol in a-oi vaset'a an anehji ahi.
23 For a hated one when she ruleth, And a maid-servant when she succeedeth her mistress.
Min adeilou numei chun jiding pasal akimudoh jia, soh numei jin apinu akhel jiteng,
24 Four [are] little ones of earth, And they are made wiser than the wise:
Leiset chunga thilneo li aum in, hiche thil Li hohi achinga ching thei ahiuve.
25 The ants [are] a people not strong, And they prepare in summer their food,
Sihmi tehi mihem ahilou vang un ahat thei lheh jeng un, nipilai sung sen neh ding akikhol khom jiuvin ahi.
26 Conies [are] a people not strong, And they place in a rock their house,
Boi ho jong hi mihem banga hat ahipouvin, hinlah songpi lah jenga jong ko akivu jiuvin ahi.
27 A king there is not to the locust, And it goeth out — each one shouting,
Khaokho ten jong leng aneipouvin, hinlah agol gol chan akitol jiuve.
28 A spider with two hands taketh hold, And is in the palaces of a king.
Daidep jong khu bailam tah'a nakhut a namat thei ahin, hiche jeng jong hi lengpa insunga cheng jing ahi.
29 Three there are going well, Yea, four are good in going:
Thil thum phatah'a kijot del aum un, chule thil li jong chu akalseu akitoh del in ahi.
30 An old lion — mighty among beasts, That turneth not back from the face of any,
Sa jouse lah'a keipi bahkai hi ahat pen ahin, imacha masanga anung chon ngaipoi.
31 A girt one of the loins, or a he-goat, And a king — no rising up with him.
Ahpi lah ahiteng ahchal in agep lele ahin, kelchal ahin, kel-hon lamkaijin apang in, lengpan amite henga thu aseija ahin lamkaiji ahi.
32 If thou hast been foolish in lifting up thyself, And if thou hast devised evil — hand to mouth!
Nangma mingol nahia, nang le nang kichoi sanga nahim, thilphalou khattou nangaitoa ahileh nakhut in nakam kisip chah jeng in.
33 For the churning of milk bringeth out butter, And the wringing of the nose bringeth out blood, And the forcing of anger bringeth out strife!
Ijeh-inem itileh bongnoi imeh leh bongnoi ha asodoh jin, chule nah hom isip sip teng thisan apotdoh jin, ilung ahan jinga ahileh kinahna jeng asohsah jin ahi.
