< Proverbs 15 >

1 A soft answer turneth back fury, And a grievous word raiseth up anger.
Mampitolike habosehañe ty rehake malea, fe mitrobo haviñerañe ty volam-peha’e.
2 The tongue of the wise maketh knowledge good, And the mouth of fools uttereth folly.
Mitolon-kilala an-katò ty famele’ i mahihitse, fe mipororoake hagegeañe ty vava’ i dagola.
3 In every place are the eyes of Jehovah, Watching the evil and the good.
Manitsike ze hene toetse o fihaino’ Iehovào, misary ty raty naho ty soa.
4 A healed tongue [is] a tree of life, And perverseness in it — a breach in the spirit.
Hataen-kaveloñe ty fameleke mamere, fe mampikoritoke troke naho ama’e ty hamengohañe.
5 A fool despiseth the instruction of his father, And whoso is regarding reproof is prudent.
mañìnje ty fañòhan-drae’e ty dagola, fe mahilala ty mañaoñ’ anatse.
6 [In] the house of the righteous [is] abundant strength, And in the increase of the wicked — trouble.
Vara bey ty añ’anjomba’ o vañoñeo, fe manolo-tsotry ty tombom-baro’ i lahiaga.
7 The lips of the wise scatter knowledge, And the heart of fools [is] not right.
Mampiboele hilala ty fivimbi’ o mahihitseo; fe tsy izay ty tro’ i dagola.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked [is] an abomination to Jehovah, And the prayer of the upright [is] His delight.
Veta am’ Iehovà ty fisoroña’ o lo-tserekeo, fe ifalea’e ty halali’ o vantañeo.
9 An abomination to Jehovah [is] the way of the wicked, And whoso is pursuing righteousness He loveth.
Tiva am’ Iehovà ty taro’ i lahiaga, fe kokoa’e ty mañean-kavantañañe.
10 Chastisement [is] grievous to him who is forsaking the path, Whoso is hating reproof dieth.
Mampalovilovy ty mandrìke amy lalañey te lafaeñe, mikoromake ty malaiñ’ endake.
11 Sheol and destruction [are] before Jehovah, Surely also the hearts of the sons of men. (Sheol h7585)
Mivañavaña añatrefa’ Iehovà ty tanen-dolo naho i tsikeokeoke, sandrake ty arofo’ ondaty! (Sheol h7585)
12 A scorner loveth not his reprover, Unto the wise he goeth not.
Tsy kokoa’ ty mpanive­tive te ereteñe; tsy tilihe’e ty mahihitse.
13 A joyful heart maketh glad the face, And by grief of heart is the spirit smitten.
Mampaviake vintañe ty arofo misomobotsòboke, fe mahafola-paiañe ty troke ngoma.
14 The heart of the intelligent seeketh knowledge, And the mouth of fools enjoyeth folly.
Mpitsoeke hilala ty troke maharendreke, fe mampibotseke hagegeañe ty vava’ i dagola.
15 All the days of the afflicted [are] evil, And gladness of heart [is] a perpetual banquet.
Fonga mavoiñe ty andro’ o misotrio, fe mitolon-tsabadidake ty arofo minembanembañe.
16 Better [is] a little with the fear of Jehovah, Than much treasure, and tumult with it.
Hàmake ty kedeke mitrao-pañeveñañe am’ Iehovà, ta ty vara-bey reketse hekoheko.
17 Better [is] an allowance of green herbs and love there, Than a fatted ox, and hatred with it.
Kitra’e anjotsoañe añañe am-pikokoañe, ta te anozoañe temboay vinondrake am-palaiñañe.
18 A man of fury stirreth up contention, And the slow to anger appeaseth strife.
Mitrobo hotakotake ty mpiloa-tiñake, fe mampipendreñe fifandierañe ty malaon-kaviñerañe.
19 The way of the slothful [is] as a hedge of briers, And the path of the upright is raised up.
Iremberembeam-patike te añ’oloñolo’ i votro, fe dinamoke ty lala’ i vañoñey.
20 A wise son rejoiceth a father. And a foolish man is despising his mother.
Mahafale an-drae ty anake mahihitse, fe mañìnje rene t’indaty gege.
21 Folly is joy to one lacking heart, And a man of intelligence directeth [his] going.
Hagegeañe ty mahaehake i seretse, fe vantan-dia t’indaty mahilala.
22 Without counsel [is] the making void of purposes, And in a multitude of counsellors it is established.
Milesa ty safiry po-panolo-kevetse, fe mahaeneke te maro mpanoro.
23 Joy [is] to a man in the answer of his mouth, And a word in its season — how good!
Mahafale ondaty te mahafanoiñe ty falie’e, akore ty hasoa’ ty saontsy tandrife.
24 A path of life [is] on high for the wise, To turn aside from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)

25 The house of the proud Jehovah pulleth down, And He setteth up the border of the widow.
Hombota’ Iehovà ty akiba’ o mpirengevokeo, fe ajado’e ty efe-tane’ i vantotsey.
26 An abomination to Jehovah [are] thoughts of wickedness, And pure [are] sayings of pleasantness.
Tiva am’ Iehovà o fikitrofañeo, fe hiringiry ty saontsy mampanintsy.
27 A dishonest gainer is troubling his house, And whoso is hating gifts liveth.
Manolo-tsotry ty akiba’e ty mamory an-katramo, fe ho veloñe ty malaim-bokàñe.
28 The heart of the righteous meditateth to answer, And the mouth of the wicked uttereth evil things.
Mañereñere ty hanoiña’e ty arofo’ i vantañey, fe mampipororoake haratiañe ty falie’ i lahiaga.
29 Far [is] Jehovah from the wicked, And the prayer of the righteous He heareth.
Lavitse o raty tserekeo t’Iehovà, fe janji’e ty halali’ o vañoñeo.
30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart, A good report maketh fat the bone.
Mahafale arofo ty fihaino miloeloe, vaho solik’ an-taolañe ty talily soa.
31 An ear that is hearing the reproof of life Doth lodge among the wise.
Amo mahihitseo ty himoneña’ ty aman-dravembia mitsendreñe anatse mahaveloñe.
32 Whoso is refusing instruction is despising his soul, And whoso is hearing reproof Is getting understanding.
Mañìnje ty vata’e ty malaiñ’ endake, fe manonton-kilala ty mitsatsike fanoroañe.
33 The fear of Jehovah [is] the instruction of wisdom, And before honour [is] humility!
Fañòhañe hihitse ty fañeveñañe am’ Iehovà, miaolo ty asiñe te mireke.
