Proverbs 10
1 Proverbs of Solomon. A wise son causeth a father to rejoice, And a foolish son [is] an affliction to his mother.

2 Treasures of wickedness profit not, And righteousness delivereth from death.

3 Jehovah causeth not the soul of the righteous to hunger, And the desire of the wicked He thrusteth away.
Tsy avelan’ i Jehovah ho mosarena ny fanahin’ ny marina; Fa foanany ny fanirian’ ny ratsy fanahy.
4 Poor [is] he who is working — a slothful hand, And the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
Ho tonga malahelo ny miraviravy tanana amin’ ny asany; Fa mampanan-karena ny tanan’ ny mazoto.
5 Whoso is gathering in summer [is] a wise son, Whoso is sleeping in harvest [is] a son causing shame.
Izay manangona amin’ ny fararano no zanaka hendry; Fa izay sondrian-tory amin’ ny taom-pijinjana no zanaka mampahamenatra.
6 Blessings [are] for the head of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.
Fitahiana no ho ao amin’ ny lohan’ ny marina; Fa loza no mandrakotra ny vavan’ ny ratsy fanahy.
7 The remembrance of the righteous [is] for a blessing, And the name of the wicked doth rot.
Hankasitrahana ny fahatsiarovana ny marina; Fa ho lò ny anaran’ ny ratsy fanahy.
8 The wise in heart accepteth commands, And a talkative fool kicketh.
Izay hendry am-po no handray ny didy; Fa ho lavo ny adala maro vava.
9 Whoso is walking in integrity walketh confidently, And whoso is perverting his ways is known.
Izay mandeha tsy misy tsiny no mandeha matoky; Fa izay maniasia amin’ ny alehany dia fantatra.
10 Whoso is winking the eye giveth grief, And a talkative fool kicketh.
Izay mami-maso manome alahelo; Fa ho lavo ny adala maro vava.
11 A fountain of life [is] the mouth of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.
Loharanon’ aina ny vavan’ ny marina; Fa loza no mandrakotra ny vavan’ ny ratsy fanahy.
12 Hatred awaketh contentions, And over all transgressions love covereth.
Ny fankahalana dia manetsika ady; Fa ny fitiavana manarona ny ota rehetra.
13 In the lips of the intelligent is wisdom found, And a rod [is] for the back of him who is lacking understanding.
Amin’ ny molotry ny manan-tsaina no ahitam-pahendrena; Fa tsorakazo no ho amin’ ny lamosin’ ny tsy ampy saina.
14 The wise lay up knowledge, and the mouth of a fool [is] near ruin.
Ny hendry mirakitra fahalalana; Fa ny vavan’ ny adala eo akaikin’ ny fandringanana.
15 The wealth of the rich [is] his strong city, The ruin of the poor [is] their poverty.
Ny haren’ ny manan-karena no vohiny mafy; Fa ny tsi-fananan’ ny ory no fandringanana azy.
16 The wage of the righteous [is] for life, The increase of the wicked for sin.
Ho fiainana ny asan’ ny marina; Fa ho ota ny fitomboan’ ny haren’ ny ratsy fanahy.
17 A traveller to life [is] he who is keeping instruction, And whoso is forsaking rebuke is erring.
Izay mino anatra dia ho tonga eo amin’ ny lalan’ ny fiainana; Fa mivily izay mandà anatra.
18 Whoso is covering hatred with lying lips, And whoso is bringing out an evil report is a fool.
Izay mitahiry lolompo dia manana molotra mandainga, Ary izay mampiely endrikendrika dia adala.
19 In the abundance of words transgression ceaseth not, And whoso is restraining his lips [is] wise.
Ny teny maro tsy ilaozan’ izay ota; Fa izay mahatana ny molony no hendry.
20 The tongue of the righteous [is] chosen silver, The heart of the wicked — as a little thing.
Volafotsy voafantina ny lelan’ ny marina; Fa ny fon’ ny ratsy fanahy tsy misy vidiny.
21 The lips of the righteous delight many, And fools for lack of heart die.
Ny molotry ny marina mamelona ny maro; Fa maty ny adala noho ny tsi-fananany fahalalana.
22 The blessing of Jehovah — it maketh rich, And He addeth no grief with it.
Ny fitahian’ i Jehovah no mampanan-karena, Ary tsy azon’ ny fisasarana ampiana izany.
23 To execute inventions [is] as play to a fool, And wisdom to a man of understanding.
Toa laolaon’ ny adala ny fanaovan-dratsy Fa raha ny manan-tsaina, dia fahendrena kosa.
24 The feared thing of the wicked it meeteth him, And the desire of the righteous is given.
Ny tahotry ny ratsy fanahy hihatra aminy; Fa ny irin’ ny marina no homena azy.
25 As the passing by of a hurricane, So the wicked is not, And the righteous is a foundation age-during.
Rehefa mipaoka ny tafio-drivotra, dia tsy ao intsony ny ratsy fanahy; Fa ny marina voaorina ho mandrakizay.
26 As vinegar to the teeth, And as smoke to the eyes, So [is] the slothful to those sending him.
Toy ny vinaingitra amin’ ny nify sy ny setroka amin’ ny maso. Dia mba toy izany koa ny malaina amin’ izay maniraka azy.
27 The fear of Jehovah addeth days, And the years of the wicked are shortened.
Ny fahatahorana an’ i Jehovah no mahela velona; Fa ny taonan’ ny ratsy fanahy hohafohezina.
28 The hope of the righteous [is] joyful, And the expectation of the wicked perisheth.
Ny fanantenan’ ny marina dia fifaliana; Fa ny fanantenan’ ny ratsy fanahy ho foana.
29 The way of Jehovah [is] strength to the perfect, And ruin to workers of iniquity.
Ny lalan’ i Jehovah dia fiarovana mafy ho an’ izay tsy misy tsiny, Fa fandringanana kosa ho an’ ny mpanao ratsy.
30 The righteous to the age is not moved, And the wicked inhabit not the earth.
Ny marina tsy hangozohozo mandrakizay; Fa ny ratsy fanahy tsy honina amin’ ny tany.
31 The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, And the tongue of frowardness is cut out.
Eo amin’ ny vavan’ ny marina no itsimohan’ ny fahendrena; Fa ny lela fandainga hofongorana.
32 The lips of the righteous know a pleasing thing, And the mouth of the wicked perverseness!
Ny molotry ny marina mahalala izay ankasitrahana; Fa ny vavan’ ny ratsy fanahy dia feno fitaka.
