Numbers 5
1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
2 'Command the sons of Israel, and they send out of the camp every leper, and every one with an issue, and every one defiled by a body;
Gebiete den Söhnen Israels, daß sie jeden Aussätzigen und jeden mit einem Fluß Behafteten und alle durch Tote Verunreinigte aus dem Lager senden sollen.
3 from male unto female ye do send out; unto the outside of the camp ye do send them; and they defile not their camps in the midst of which I do tabernacle.'
Vom Männlichen bis zum Weiblichen sollt ihr entsenden, aus dem Lager sollt ihr sie entsenden; daß sie euer Lager nicht verunreinigen, in deren Mitte Ich wohne.
4 And the sons of Israel do so, and they send them out unto the outside of the camp; as Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses so have the sons of Israel done.
Und die Söhne Israels taten so, und entsandten sie aus dem Lager. Wie Jehovah zu Mose geredet hatte, also taten die Söhne Israels.
5 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Und Jehovah redete mit Mose und sprach:
6 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, Man or woman, when they do any of the sins of man, by committing a trespass against Jehovah, and that person [is] guilty,
Rede zu den Söhnen Israel: So ein Mann oder ein Weib eine der menschlichen Sünden tut und damit eine Untreue gegen Jehovah begeht, so ist solche Seele verschuldet.
7 and they have confessed their sin which they have done, then he hath restored his guilt in its principal, and its fifth is adding to it, and hath given [it] to him in reference to whom he hath been guilty.
Und sie sollen ihre Sünde, die sie taten, bekennen, und er soll die Hauptsumme der Schuld zurückgeben und ein Fünftel dazutun, und es dem geben, an dem er es verschuldet hat.
8 'And if the man have no redeemer to restore the guilt to, the guilt which is restored [is] Jehovah's, the priest's, apart from the ram of the atonements, whereby he maketh atonement for him.
Und hat der Mann keinen Einlöser, an den die Schuld zurückgegeben werden könnte, so sei die zurückzugebende Schuld dem Jehovah, dem Priester, außer dem Widder der Sühne, womit er ihn sühnt.
9 'And every heave-offering of all the holy things of the sons of Israel, which they bring near to the priest, becometh his;
Und jegliche Habe von allem Heiligen der Söhne Israels, das sie dem Priester dar- bringen, sein soll es sein.
10 and any man's hallowed things become his; that which any man giveth to the priest becometh his.'
Und so ein Mann etwas heiligt, soll es ihm gehören. Was ein Mann dem Priester gibt, sein soll es sein.
11 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Und Jehovah redete zu Mose und sprach:
12 'Speak unto the sons of Israel, and thou hast said unto them, When any man's wife turneth aside, and hath committed against him a trespass,
Rede mit den Söhnen Israels und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn irgendeines Mannes Weib abweicht und Untreue an ihm begeht,
13 and a man hath lain with her [with] the seed of copulation, and it hath been hid from the eyes of her husband, and concealed, and she hath been defiled, and there is no witness against her, and she hath not been caught,
So daß ein Mann bei ihr liegt und sie besamt, und es ist vor den Augen ihres Mannes verborgen, und sie hat es verheimlicht, daß sie sich verunreinigt hat, und kein Zeuge gegen sie da ist, und sie ist nicht erfaßt worden,
14 and a spirit of jealousy hath passed over him, and he hath been jealous of his wife, and she hath been defiled; — or, a spirit of jealousy hath passed over him, and he hath been jealous of his wife, and she hath not been defiled —
Und in ihn ist der Geist der Eifersucht übergegangen, und er auf sein Weib eifersüchtig ist, ob sie sich nicht verunreinigt hätte; oder es geht in ihn ein Geist der Eifersucht über, und er ist auf sein Weib eifersüchtig, und sie ist nicht unrein,
15 'Then hath the man brought in his wife unto the priest, and he hath brought in her offering for her, a tenth of the ephah of barley meal, he doth not pour on it oil, nor doth he put on it frankincense, for it [is] a present of jealousy, a present of memorial, causing remembrance of iniquity.
So bringe der Mann sein Weib zu dem Priester, und bringe ihre Opfergabe ihrethalben ein zehntel Epha Gerstenmehl dar, er gieße kein Öl darauf und gebe keinen Weihrauch bei; denn ein Speiseopfer der Eifersucht ist es, ein Speiseopfer der Gedenkung, das einer Missetat gedenken läßt.
16 'And the priest hath brought her near, and hath caused her to stand before Jehovah,
Und der Priester lasse sie nahen und vor Jehovah stehen.
17 and the priest hath taken holy water in an earthen vessel, and of the dust which is on the floor of the tabernacle doth the priest take, and hath put [it] into the water,
Und der Priester nehme heiliges Wasser in ein irdenes Gefäß; und von dem Staub, der auf der Flur der Wohnung ist, nehme der Priester und gebe ihn in das Wasser.
18 and the priest hath caused the woman to stand before Jehovah, and hath uncovered the woman's head, and hath given into her hands the present of the memorial, it [is] a present of jealousy, and in the hand of the priest are the bitter waters which cause the curse.
Und der Priester lasse das Weib vor Jehovah stehen und Blöße das Haupt des Weibes, und gebe auf ihre Handflächen das Speiseopfer der Gedenkung. Das Speiseopfer der Eifersuchten ist es; und in der Hand des Priesters seien die bitteren Wasser, die verfluchten.
19 'And the priest hath caused her to swear, and hath said unto the woman, If no man hath lain with thee, and if thou hast not turned aside [to] uncleanness under thy husband, be free from these bitter waters which cause the curse;
Und der Priester beschwöre sie und spreche zu dem Weibe: Hat kein Mann bei dir gelegen und bist du nicht abgewichen zur Unreinheit hinter deinem Manne, so bleibe ungestraft von diesen bitteren Wassern, den verfluchten.
20 and thou, if thou hast turned aside under thy husband, and if thou hast been defiled, and any man doth give his copulation to thee besides thy husband —
So du aber abgewichen hinter deinem Manne und dich verunreinigt hast, und ein Mann dich beschlafen hat außer deinem Manne;
21 (then the priest hath caused the woman to swear with an oath of execration, and the priest hath said to the woman) — Jehovah doth give thee for an execration, and for a curse, in the midst of thy people, in Jehovah's giving thy thigh to fall, and thy belly to swell,
So schwöre der Priester dem Weibe mit einem Schwur der Verwünschung, und spreche der Priester zu dem Weibe: Jehovah wird dich zur Verwünschung und zum Schwur geben inmitten deines Volkes, damit, daß Jehovah deine Hüfte verfallen und den Leib dir schwellen läßt.
22 and these waters which cause the curse have gone into thy bowels, to cause the belly to swell, and the thigh to fall; and the woman hath said, Amen, Amen.
Und es komme dieses verfluchte Wasser in deine Eingeweide, auf daß der Leib dir schwelle und deine Hüfte verfalle. Und das Weib spreche: Amen! Amen!
23 'And the priest hath written these execrations in a book, and hath blotted [them] out with the bitter waters,
Und der Priester schreibe diese Verwünschungen in das Buch, und wische es ab in die bitteren Wasser;
24 and hath caused the woman to drink the bitter waters which cause the curse, and the waters which cause the curse have entered into her for bitter things.
Und lasse das Weib das bittere verfluchte Wasser trinken, und das verfluchte Wasser komme in sie zur Bitterkeit.
25 'And the priest hath taken out of the hand of the woman the present of jealousy, and hath waved the present before Jehovah, and hath brought it near unto the altar;
Und der Priester nehme von der Hand es Weibes das Speiseopfer der Eifersuchten und webe das Speiseopfer vor Jehovah und bringe es dar auf dem Altar.
26 and the priest hath taken a handful of the present, its memorial, and hath made perfume on the altar, and afterwards doth cause the woman to drink the water:
Und der Priester nehme eine Handvoll von ihrem Speiseopfer, ihrem Gedenkteil, und zünde es an auf dem Altar, und hierauf lasse er das Weib das Wasser trinken.
27 yea, he hath caused her to drink the water, and it hath come to pass, if she hath been defiled, and doth commit a trespass against her husband, that the waters which cause the curse have gone into her for bitter things, and her belly hath swelled, and her thigh hath fallen, and the woman hath become an execration in the midst of her people.
Und hat er ihr das Wasser zu trinken gegeben, dann wird geschehen, wenn sie sich verunreinigt und wider ihren Mann untreu geworden ist, daß das Wasser, das verfluchte, in sie kommt zur Bitterkeit, und ihr Leib schwillt und ihre Hüfte verfällt, und das Weib zur Verwünschung wird in ihres Volkes Mitte,
28 'And if the woman hath not been defiled, and is clean, then she hath been acquitted, and hath been sown [with] seed.
Hat sich das Weib aber nicht verunreinigt und ist sie rein, so bleibt sie ungestraft und kann Samen empfangen.
29 'This [is] the law of jealousies, when a wife turneth aside under her husband, and hath been defiled,
Dies ist das Gesetz über Eifersucht, wenn ein Weib hinter ihrem Manne abweicht und sich verunreinigt.
30 or when a spirit of jealousy passeth over a man, and he hath been jealous of his wife, then he hath caused the woman to stand before Jehovah, and the priest hath done to her all this law,
Oder wenn in einen Mann der Geist der Eifersucht übergeht und er auf sein Weib eifersüchtig wird, so lasse er das Weib vor Jehovah stehen und der Priester tue ihr alles nach diesem Gesetz.
31 and the man hath been acquitted from iniquity, and that woman doth bear her iniquity.'
Und der Mann sei unschuldig an der Missetat, das Weib aber trägt ihre Missetat.
