< Numbers 10 >

1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
2 'Make to thee two trumpets of silver; beaten work thou dost make them, and they have been to thee for the convocation of the company, and for the journeying of the camps;
Make thee two trumpets of siluer: of an whole piece shalt thou make the, that thou mayest vse them for the assembling of the Congregation, and for the departure of the campe.
3 and they have blown with them, and all the company have met together unto thee, unto the opening of the tent of meeting.
And when they shall blowe with them, all the Congregation shall assemble to thee before the doore of the Tabernacle of the Cogregation.
4 And if with one they blow, then have the princes, heads of the thousands of Israel, met together unto thee;
But if they blowe with one, then the princes, or heades ouer the thousandes of Israel shall come vnto thee.
5 'And ye have blown — a shout, and the camps which are encamping eastward have journeyed.
But if ye blow an alarme, then the campe of the that pitch on the East part, shall go forward.
6 'And ye have blown — a second shout, and the camps which are encamping southward have journeyed; a shout they blow for their journeys.
If ye blowe an alarme the second time, then the hoste of them that lie on the Southside shall march: for they shall blowe an alarme when they remoue.
7 'And in the assembling of the assembly ye blow, and do not shout;
But in assembling the Congregation, ye shall blowe without an alarme.
8 and sons of Aaron, the priests, blow with the trumpets; and they have been to you for a statute age-during to your generations.
And the sonnes of Aaron the Priest shall blowe the trumpets, and ye shall haue them as a lawe for euer in your generations.
9 'And when ye go into battle in your land against the adversary who is distressing you, then ye have shouted with the trumpets, and ye have been remembered before Jehovah your God, and ye have been saved from your enemies.
And when ye goe to warre in your lande against the enemie that vexeth you, ye shall blowe an alarme with the trumpets, and ye shall bee remembred before the Lord your God, and shalbe saued from your enemies.
10 'And in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed seasons, and in the beginnings of your months, ye have blown also with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings, and they have been to you for a memorial before your God; I, Jehovah, [am] your God.'
Also in the day of your gladnesse, and in your feast dayes, and in the beginning of your moneths, ye shall also blow the trumpets ouer your burnt sacrifices, and ouer your peace offrings, that they may be a remembrance for you before your God: I am the Lord your God.
11 And it cometh to pass — in the second year, in the second month, in the twentieth of the month — the cloud hath gone up from off the tabernacle of the testimony,
And in the seconde yeere, in the seconde moneth, and in the twentieth day of the moneth the cloude was taken vp from the Tabernacle of the Testimonie.
12 and the sons of Israel journey in their journeyings from the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud doth tabernacle in the wilderness of Paran;
And ye children of Israel departed on their iourneys out of the desart of Sinai, and the cloud rested in the wildernesse of Paran.
13 and they journey at first, by the command of Jehovah, in the hand of Moses.
So they first tooke their iourney at the comandement of the Lord, by ye hand of Moses.
14 And the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah journeyeth in the first [place], by their hosts, and over its host [is] Nahshon son of Amminadab.
In the first place went the standerd of the hoste of the children of Iudah, according to their armies: and Nahshon the sonne of Amminabad was ouer his band.
15 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar [is] Nathaneel son of Zuar.
And ouer the band of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethaneel ye sonne of Zuar.
16 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun [is] Eliab son of Helon;
And ouer the band of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the sonne of Helon.
17 And the tabernacle hath been taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle.
When the Tabernacle was taken downe, then the sonnes of Gershon, and the sonnes of Merari went forward bearing the Tabernacle.
18 And the standard of the camp of Reuben hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host [is] Elizur son of Shedeur.
After, departed the standerd of the hoste of Reuben, according to their armies, and ouer his band was Elizur the sonne of Shedeur.
19 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon [is] Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai.
And ouer the band of the tribe of ye children of Simeon was Shelumiel the sonne of Shurishaddai.
20 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad [is] Eliasaph son of Deuel;
And ouer the bande of the tribe of ye children of Gad was Eliasaph the sonne of Deuel.
21 And the Kohathites have journeyed, bearing the tabernacle, and the [others] have raised up the tabernacle until their coming in.
The Kohathites also went forward and bare the Sanctuarie, and the former did set vp the Tabernacle against they came.
22 And the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim hath journeyed, by their hosts, and over its host [is] Elishama son of Ammihud.
Then the standerd of the hoste of the children of Ephraim went forward according to their armies, and ouer his bande was Elishama the sonne of Ammiud.
23 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh [is] Gamalial son of Pedahzur.
And ouer the band of the tribe of ye sonnes of Manasseh was Gamliel the sonne of Pedazur.
24 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin [is] Abidan son of Gideoni.
And ouer the band of ye tribe of the sonnes of Beniamin was Abidan the sonne of Gideoni.
25 And the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan hath journeyed (rearward to all the camps), by their hosts, and over its host [is] Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai.
Last, the standerd of the hoste of the children of Dan marched, gathering all ye hostes according to their armies: and ouer his bande was Ahiezer the sonne of Ammishaddai.
26 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher [is] Pagiel son of Ocran.
And ouer the bande of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the sonne of Ocran.
27 And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali [is] Ahira son of Enan.
And ouer the bande of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira ye sonne of Enan.
28 These [are] journeyings of the sons of Israel by their hosts — and they journey.
These were the remouings of the children of Israel according to their armies, whe they marched.
29 And Moses saith to Hobab son of Raguel the Midianite, father-in-law of Moses, 'We are journeying unto the place of which Jehovah hath said, I give it to you; go with us, and we have done good to thee; for Jehovah hath spoken good concerning Israel.'
After, Moses said vnto Hobab ye sonne of Reuel the Midianite, ye father in law of Moses, We go into the place, of which ye Lord said, I will giue it you: Come thou with vs, and we wil doe thee good: for ye Lord hath promised good vnto Israel.
30 And he saith unto him, 'I do not go; but unto my land and unto my kindred do I go.'
And he answered him, I will not goe: but I will depart to mine owne countrey, and to my kindred.
31 And he saith, 'I pray thee, forsake us not, because thou hast known our encamping in the wilderness, and thou hast been to us for eyes;
Then he sayd, I pray thee, leaue vs not: for thou knowest our camping places in the wildernesse: therefore thou mayest be our guide.
32 and it hath come to pass when thou goest with us, yea, it hath come to pass — that good which Jehovah doth kindly with us — it we have done kindly to thee.'
And if thou go with vs, what goodnes the Lord shall shew vnto vs, the same will we shewe vnto thee.
33 And they journey from the mount of Jehovah a journey of three days; and the ark of the covenant of Jehovah is journeying before them the journey of three days, to spy out for them a resting-place;
So they departed from the mount of the Lord, three dayes iourney: and the Arke of the couenant of the Lord went before them in the three dayes iourney, to searche out a resting place for them.
34 and the cloud of Jehovah [is] on them by day, in their journeying from the camp.
And the cloude of the Lord was vpon the by day, when they went out of the campe.
35 And it cometh to pass in the journeying of the ark, that Moses saith, 'Rise, O Jehovah, and Thine enemies are scattered, and those hating Thee flee from Thy presence.'
And when the Arke went forwarde, Moses saide, Rise vp, Lord, and let thine enemies bee scattered, and let them that hate thee, flee before thee.
36 And in its resting he saith, 'Return, O Jehovah, [to] the myriads, the thousands of Israel.'
And when it rested, hee sayde, Returne, O Lord, to the many thousands of Israel.
