Nehemiah 12
1 And these [are] the priests and the Levites who came up with Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua; Seraiah, Jeremiah, Ezra,
੧ਉਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸ਼ਅਲਤੀਏਲ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਰੂੱਬਾਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ, ਉਹ ਇਹ ਸਨ: ਸਰਾਯਾਹ, ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ, ਅਜ਼ਰਾ,
2 Amariah, Malluch, Hattush,

3 Shechaniah, Rehum, Meremoth,
੩ਸ਼ਕਨਯਾਹ, ਰਹੂਮ, ਮਰੇਮੋਥ,
4 Iddo, Ginnethoi, Abijah,
੪ਇੱਦੋ, ਗਿਨਥੋਈ, ਅਬਿਯਾਹ,
5 Miamin, Maadiah, Bilgah,
੫ਮੀਯਾਮੀਨ, ਮਆਦਯਾਹ ਬਿਲਗਾਹ,
6 Shemaiah, and Joiarib, Jedaiah,
੬ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ, ਯੋਯਾਰੀਬ, ਯਦਾਯਾਹ,
7 Sallu, Amok, Hilkiah, Jedaiah; these [are] heads of the priests and of their brethren in the days of Jeshua.
੭ਸੱਲੂ, ਆਮੋਕ, ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਦਾਯਾਹ, ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਇਹੋ ਸਨ।
8 And the Levites [are] Jeshua, Binnui, Kadmiel, Sherebiah, Judah, Mattaniah, he [is] over the thanksgiving, and his brethren,
੮ਲੇਵੀ ਇਹ ਸਨ: ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ, ਬਿੰਨੂਈ, ਕਦਮੀਏਲ, ਸ਼ੇਰੇਬਯਾਹ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਗੀਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਸੀ।
9 and Bakbukiah and Unni, their brethren, [are] over-against them in charges.
੯ਬਕਬੁਕਯਾਹ, ਉੱਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ।
10 And Jeshua hath begotten Joiakim, and Joiakim hath begotten Eliashib, and Eliashib hath begotten Joiada,
੧੦ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਤੋਂ ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਜੰਮਿਆ, ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਜੰਮਿਆ, ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਯੋਯਾਦਾ ਜੰਮਿਆ,
11 and Joiada hath begotten Jonathan, and Jonathan hath begotten Jaddua.
੧੧ਯੋਯਾਦਾ ਤੋਂ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਯੱਦੂਆ ਜੰਮਿਆ।
12 And in the days of Joiakim have been priests, heads of the fathers; of Seraiah, Meraiah; of Jeremiah, Hananiah;
੧੨ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਸਨ, ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ,
13 of Ezra, Meshullam; of Amariah, Jehohanan;
੧੩ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਤੋਂ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਰਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੋਹਾਨਾਨ,
14 of Melicu, Jonathan; of Shebaniah, Joseph;
੧੪ਮਲੂਕੀ ਤੋਂ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਨਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਯੂਸੁਫ਼,
15 of Harim, Adna; of Meraioth, Helkai;
੧੫ਹਾਰੀਮ ਤੋਂ ਅਦਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਾਯੋਥ ਤੋਂ ਹਲਕਈ,
16 of Iddo, Zechariah; of Ginnethon, Meshullam;
੧੬ਇੱਦੋ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਨਥੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ,
17 of Abijah, Zichri; of Miniamin; of Moadiah, Piltai;
੧੭ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਅਦਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਿਲਟਾਈ,
18 of Bilgah, Shammua; of Shemaiah, Jehonathan;
੧੮ਬਿਲਗਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੰਮੂਆ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ,
19 and of Joiarib, Mattenai; of Jedaiah, Uzzi;
੧੯ਯੋਯਾਰੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਮਤਨਈ ਅਤੇ ਯਦਾਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਜ਼ੀ,
20 of Sallai, Kallai; of Amok, Eber;
੨੦ਸੱਲਈ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਮੋਕ ਤੋਂ ਏਬਰ,
21 of Hilkiah, Hashabiah; of Jedaiah, Nethaneel.
੨੧ਹਿਲਕੀਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਦਾਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਨਥਨਏਲ।
22 The Levites, in the days of Eliashib, Joiada, and Johanan, and Jaddua, are written, heads of fathers, and of the priests, in the kingdom of Darius the Persian.
੨੨ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ, ਯੋਯਾਦਾ, ਯੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਯੱਦੂਆ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੇਵੀ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਦਾਰਾ ਫ਼ਾਰਸੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
23 Sons of Levi, heads of the fathers, are written on the book of the Chronicles even till the days of Johanan son of Eliashib;
੨੩ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਲਯਾਸ਼ੀਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਹਾਨਾਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
24 and heads of the Levites: Hashabiah, Sherebiah, and Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their brethren, [are] over-against them, to give praise, to give thanks, by command of David the man of God, charge over-against charge.
੨੪ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਇਹ ਸਨ: ਹਸ਼ਬਯਾਹ, ਸ਼ੇਰੇਬਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਕਦਮੀਏਲ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਹਮੋ-ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸਤਤ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਸਨ।
25 Mattaniah, and Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, Akkub, [are] gatekeepers, keeping charge in the gatherings of the gates.
੨੫ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ, ਬਕਬੁਕਯਾਹ, ਓਬਦਯਾਹ, ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ, ਤਲਮੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਕੂਬ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੰਡਾਰ-ਘਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹਿਰਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
26 These [are] in the days of Joiakim son of Jeshua, son of Jozadak, and in the days of Nehemiah the governor, and of Ezra the priest, the scribe.
੨੬ਯੋਸਾਦਾਕ ਦੇ ਪੋਤਰੇ ਯੇਸ਼ੂਆ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਨਹਮਯਾਹ ਹਾਕਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਸਨ।
27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them in to Jerusalem, to make the dedication even with gladness, and with thanksgivings, and with singing, [with] cymbals, psalteries, and with harps;
੨੭ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅਨੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਛੈਣੇ, ਸਿਤਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਬਤਾਂ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਗਾ ਕੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ।
28 and sons of the singers are gathered together even from the circuit round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
੨੮ਗਾਇਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਟੋਫਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ
29 and from the house of Gilgal, and from fields of Geba and Azmaveth, for villages have the singers built for themselves round about Jerusalem;
੨੯ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤ ਗਿਲਗਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਬਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਮਾਵਥ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਗਾਇਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਪਿੰਡ ਬਣਾ ਲਏ ਸਨ।
30 and the priests and the Levites are cleansed, and they cleanse the people, and the gates, and the wall.
੩੦ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ।
31 And I bring up the heads of Judah upon the wall, and appoint two great thanksgiving companies and processions. At the right, on the wall, to the dung-gate;
੩੧ਫਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਦੋ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਟੋਲੀਆਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਈਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਲੀ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਕੂੜਾ-ਫਾਟਕ ਵੱਲ ਗਈ
32 and after them goeth Hoshaiah, and half of the heads of Judah,
੩੨ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ-ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋਸ਼ਆਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਹਾਕਮ,
33 and Azariah, Ezra, and Meshullam,
੩੩ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ, ਅਜ਼ਰਾ, ਮਸ਼ੁੱਲਾਮ,
34 Judah, and Benjamin, and Shemaiah, and Jeremiah;
੩੪ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ, ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਤੇ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਗਏ
35 and of the sons of the priests with trumpets, Zechariah son of Jonathan, son of Shemaiah, son of Mattaniah, son of Michaiah, son of Zaccur, son of Asaph,
੩੫ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਰਸਿੰਗੇ ਲਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਯੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮੱਤਨਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਜ਼ੱਕੂਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਉਹ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ
36 and his brethren Shemaiah, and Azarael, Milalai, Gilalai, Maai, Nethaneel, and Judah, Hanani, with instruments of song of David the man of God, and Ezra the scribe [is] before them;
੩੬ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ, ਅਜ਼ਰਏਲ, ਮਿਲਲਈ, ਗਿਲਲਈ, ਮਾਈ, ਨਥਨਏਲ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਨਾਨੀ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਵਾਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
37 and by the gate of the fountain and over-against them, they have gone up by the steps of the city of David, at the going up of the wall beyond the house of David, and unto the water-gate eastward.
੩੭ਇਹ ਚਸ਼ਮਾ-ਫਾਟਕ ਤੋਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਜਿੱਥੋਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ, ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਜਲ-ਫਾਟਕ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ।
38 And the second thanksgiving company that is going over-against, and I after it, and half of the people on the wall from beyond the tower of the furnaces and unto the broad wall,
੩੮ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਟੋਲੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ, ਦੂਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੱਲ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ-ਪਿੱਛੇ ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਧੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਤੰਦੂਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਚੌੜੀ ਕੰਧ ਤੱਕ ਗਏ
39 and from beyond the gate of Ephraim, and by the old-gate, and by the fish-gate, and the tower of Hananeel, and the tower of Meah, and unto the sheep-gate — and they have stood at the prison-gate.
੩੯ਅਤੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮੀ ਫਾਟਕ, ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣੇ ਫਾਟਕ, ਅਤੇ ਮੱਛੀ ਫਾਟਕ, ਅਤੇ ਹਨਨੇਲ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਮੇਆਹ ਦੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਤੋਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਭੇਡ-ਫਾਟਕ ਤੱਕ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕੈਦਖ਼ਾਨੇ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
40 And the two thanksgiving companies stand in the house of God, and I and half of the prefects with me,
੪੦ਤਦ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਟੋਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਧੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ,
41 and the priests, Eliakim, Maaseiah, Miniamin, Michaiah, Elioenai, Zechariah, Hananiah, with trumpets,
੪੧ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕ - ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ, ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ, ਮਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ, ਮੀਕਾਯਾਹ, ਅਲਯੋਏਨਈ, ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਨਰਸਿੰਗਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ
42 and Masseiah, and Shemaiah, and Eleazar, and Uzzi, and Jehohanan, and Malchijah, and Elam, and Ezer, and the singers sound, and Jezrahiah the inspector;
੪੨ਅਤੇ ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ, ਸ਼ਮਅਯਾਹ, ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ, ਉੱਜ਼ੀ, ਯਹੋਹਾਨਾਨ, ਮਲਕੀਯਾਹ, ਏਲਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਆਜ਼ਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਾਇਕ ਯਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਆਗੂ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
43 and they sacrifice on that day great sacrifices and rejoice, for God hath made them rejoice [with] great joy, and also, the women and the children have rejoiced, and the joy of Jerusalem is heard — unto a distance.
੪੩ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਅਨੰਦ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਇਸਤਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਅਨੰਦ ਮਨਾਇਆ। ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਅਨੰਦ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਸੁਣੀ ਗਈ।
44 And certain are appointed on that day over the chambers for treasures, for heave-offerings, for first-fruits, and for tithes, to gather into them out of the fields of the cities the portions of the law for priests, and for Levites, for the joy of Judah [is] over the priests, and over the Levites, who are standing up.
੪੪ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਠੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਸਵੰਧਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਜੋ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਜ਼ਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਾਰਨ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ।
45 And the singers and the gatekeepers keep the charge of their God, even the charge of the cleansing — according to the command of David [and] Solomon his son,
੪੫ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾਈ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਅਤੇ ਗਾਇਕ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
46 for in the days of David and Asaph of old [were] heads of the singers, and a song of praise and thanksgiving to God.
੪੬ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਦਾਊਦ ਤੇ ਆਸਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਾਇਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਉਸਤਤ ਅਤੇ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
47 And all Israel in the days of Zerubbabel, and in the days of Nehemiah, are giving the portions of the singers, and of the gatekeepers, the matter of a day in its day, and are sanctifying to the Levites, and the Levites are sanctifying to the sons of Aaron.
੪੭ਜ਼ਰੂੱਬਾਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਨਹਮਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਗਾਇਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਰ ਦਿਨ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਰਹੇ, ਉਹ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਲਈ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
