Nahum 2
1 Come up hath a scatterer to thy face, Keep the bulwark, watch the way, Strengthen the loins, strengthen power mightily.
Onye na-ebuso gị agha na-abịakwasị gị. Chee ebe gị niile e wusiri ike nche. Chee ụzọ niile nche, mee ka ụkwụ gị sie ike nʼala. Chịkọtakwa ike gị niile.
2 For turned back hath Jehovah to the excellency of Jacob, As [to] the excellency of Israel, For emptied them out have emptiers, And their branches they have marred.
Onyenwe anyị ga-eme ka ịma mma Jekọb laghachi, dịka ịma mma nke Izrel ọ bụ ezie na ndị mbibi ebibiela ha, lakwaa alaka osisi vaịnị ha niile nʼiyi.
3 The shield of his mighty ones is become red, Men of might [are in] scarlet, With fiery torches [is] the chariot in a day of his preparation, And the firs have been caused to tremble.
Ọta ndị agha ya na-acha ọbara ọbara, ndị bụ dike nʼagha yikwa uwe na-acha uhie uhie. Igwe e ji wuo ụgbọ agha na-egbu amụma nʼụbọchị ahụ ha na-ejikere agha, otu a kwa, ha na-efegharịkwa ùbe ha eji osisi fịa mee.
4 In out-places shine do the chariots, They go to and fro in broad places, Their appearances [are] like torches, As lightnings they run.
Ụgbọ agha na-eme mkpọtụ dị ukwuu nʼezi, ha na-agbagharị ihu na azụ nʼama niile. Ha na-enwu dịka ire ọkụ, na-agbagharịkwa dịka amụma.
5 He doth remember his honourable ones, They stumble in their goings, They hasten [to] its wall, and prepared is the covering.
Ọ na-akpọkọta ndị agha ya a zụziri azụzi, ma ha na-asọ ngọngọ nʼije ha. Ha ji ọsọ gbaga ruo nʼelu mgbidi ha, dozie ọta nche ha niile nʼusoro.
6 Gates of the rivers have been opened, And the palace is dissolved.
Ma e megheela ọnụ ụzọ ama nke osimiri, ụlọeze na-amakwa jijiji.
7 And it is established — she hath removed, She hath been brought up, And her handmaids are leading as the voice of doves, Tabering on their hearts.
E nyela ya ka ọ bụrụ iwu na obodo a aghaghị ịbụ obodo a dọtara nʼagha. Ndị ohu ha ndị inyom so ha nʼazụ na-akwa akwa dịka nduru, na-etikwa aka nʼobi.
8 And Nineveh [is] as a pool of waters, From of old it [is] — and they are fleeing! 'Stand ye, stand;' and none is turning!
Ninive dịka ọdọ mmiri nke mmiri ya na-ehifusị. “Kwụsị! Kwụsị!” ka ha na-ebe, ma ọ dịghị onye ga-ele anya nʼazụ.
9 Seize ye silver, seize ye gold, And there is no end to the prepared things, [To] the abundance of all desirable vessels.
Kwakọrọnụ ọlaọcha, kwakọrọnụ ọlaedo dịka ihe a kwatara nʼagha. Akụnụba dị nʼụlọakụ ya na ihe ndị ọzọ bara uru nʼobodo ahụ, enweghị ọgwụgwụ.
10 She is empty, yea, emptiness and waste, And the heart hath melted, And the knees have smitten together, And great pain [is] in all loins, And the faces of all of them have gathered paleness.
E bibiela ya. A gbahapụla ya, hapụ ya ka ọ tọgbọrọ nʼefu. Obi ndị nọ nʼime ya na-alọ mmiri, ikpere ha niile na-ama jijiji, anụ ahụ ha niile na-amakwa jijiji, ihu niile achagharịakwala.
11 Where [is] the habitation of lionesses? And a feeding-place it [is] for young lions Where walked hath a lion, an old lion, A lion's whelp, and there is none troubling.
Ebeekwa ka ọgba ọdụm ahụ dị ugbu a, bụ ebe ahụ ha na-anọ enye ụmụ ha nri, ebe oke ọdụm na nne ọdụm na-ejegharị, na ebe ụmụ ọdụm na-anọ na-atụghị egwu ihe ọbụla?
12 The lion is tearing parts [for] his whelps, And is strangling for his lionesses, And he doth fill [with] prey his holes, And his habitations [with] rapine.
Ọdụm ahụ na-adọgbu anụ na-ezuru ụmụ ya, nke na-anyagburu nne ọdụm anụ, na-ekpoju anụ ọ dọgbutara nʼụlọ ya niile. Ebe obibi ya jupụtara nʼanụ ọ dọgburu.
13 Lo, I [am] against thee, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts, And I have burned in smoke its chariot, And thy young lions consume doth a sword, And I have cut off from the land thy prey, And not heard any more is the voice of thy messengers!
“Edoola m onwe m imegide gị,” otu a ka Onyenwe anyị, Onye pụrụ ime ihe niile kwubiri, “Aga m esure ụgbọala gị niile nʼanwụrụ ọkụ, mma agha ga-ala ụmụ ọdụm gị niile nʼiyi. Agaghị m ahapụkwara gị anụ ọbụla ị ga-adọgbu nʼụwa. A gaghị anụkwa olu ndị ozi gị ọzọ.”
