Matthew 28
1 And on the eve of the sabbaths, at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths, came Mary the Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre,
Or, après le sabbat, comme le premier jour de la semaine commençait à poindre, Marie la Magdalène et l'autre Marie vinrent voir le tombeau.
2 and lo, there came a great earthquake, for a messenger of the Lord, having come down out of heaven, having come, did roll away the stone from the door, and was sitting upon it,
Et voici, il se fit un grand tremblement de terre; car un ange du Seigneur, étant descendu du ciel et s'étant approché, fit rouler la pierre, et il se tenait assis dessus;
3 and his countenance was as lightning, and his clothing white as snow,
or son aspect était semblable à un éclair, et son vêtement était blanc comme neige.
4 and from the fear of him did the keepers shake, and they became as dead men.
Mais de la crainte qu'ils en eurent les surveillants devinrent tout tremblants et comme morts.
5 And the messenger answering said to the women, 'Fear not ye, for I have known that Jesus, who hath been crucified, ye seek;
Mais prenant la parole l'ange dit aux femmes: « Pour vous, ne craignez point, car je sais que vous cherchez Jésus qui a été crucifié;
6 he is not here, for he rose, as he said; come, see the place where the Lord was lying;
il n'est pas ici, car il est ressuscité comme il l'a dit. Venez voir l'endroit où il était couché;
7 and having gone quickly, say ye to his disciples, that he rose from the dead; and lo, he doth go before you to Galilee, there ye shall see him; lo, I have told you.'
puis allez promptement dire à ses disciples: Il est ressuscité des morts; et voici, il vous devance en Galilée, c'est là que vous le verrez. Voici, je vous l'ai dit. »
8 And having gone forth quickly from the tomb, with fear and great joy, they ran to tell to his disciples;
Et s'étant promptement éloignées du sépulcre avec crainte et grande joie, elles coururent porter cette nouvelle à ses disciples.
9 and as they were going to tell to his disciples, then lo, Jesus met them, saying, 'Hail!' and they having come near, laid hold of his feet, and did bow to him.
Et voici, Jésus vint à leur rencontre en disant: « Salut. » Or s'étant approchées, elles saisirent ses pieds et l'adorèrent.
10 Then saith Jesus to them, 'Fear ye not, go away, tell to my brethren that they may go away to Galilee, and there they shall see me.'
Alors Jésus leur dit: « Ne craignez point. Allez porter cette nouvelle à mes frères, afin qu'ils partent pour la Galilée, et c'est là qu'ils me verront. »
11 And while they are going on, lo, certain of the watch having come to the city, told to the chief priests all the things that happened,
Or, pendant qu'elles étaient en chemin, voici, quelques hommes de la garde s'étant rendus à la ville racontèrent aux grands prêtres tout ce qui s'était passé.
12 and having been gathered together with the elders, counsel also having taken, they gave much money to the soldiers,
Et s'étant réunis avec les anciens et ayant tenu conseil, ils donnèrent beaucoup d'argent aux soldats,
13 saying, 'Say ye, that his disciples having come by night, stole him — we being asleep;
en disant: « Dites: ses disciples étant venus de nuit l'ont dérobé pendant que nous dormions.
14 and if this be heard by the governor, we will persuade him, and you keep free from anxiety.'
Et si le gouverneur en entend parler, nous le gagnerons, et nous vous épargnerons tout souci. »
15 And they, having received the money, did as they were taught, and this account was spread abroad among Jews till this day.
Or ayant pris l'argent ils firent comme ils avaient été endoctrinés, et ce bruit s'est répandu parmi les Juifs jusques à aujourd'hui.
16 And the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mount where Jesus appointed them,
Cependant les onze disciples se rendirent en Galilée sur la montagne, à l'endroit que Jésus leur avait fixé,
17 and having seen him, they bowed to him, but some did waver.
et l'ayant vu ils l'adorèrent; mais il y en eut qui doutèrent.
18 And having come near, Jesus spake to them, saying, 'Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;
Et Jésus s'étant approché s'adressa à eux en disant: « Toute autorité m'a été donnée au ciel et sur la terre.
19 having gone, then, disciple all the nations, (baptizing them — to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
Allez donc instruire toutes les nations, après les avoir baptisées au nom du Père et du Fils et du Saint-Esprit,
20 teaching them to observe all, whatever I did command you, ) and lo, I am with you all the days — till the full end of the age.' (aiōn g165)
en leur enseignant à observer tout ce que je vous ai prescrit. Et voici, moi, je suis avec vous tous les jours, jusques à la consommation du temps. » (aiōn g165)
