Matthew 24
1 And having gone forth, Jesus departed from the temple, and his disciples came near to show him the buildings of the temple,
અનન્તરં યીશુ ર્યદા મન્દિરાદ્ બહિ ર્ગચ્છતિ, તદાનીં શિષ્યાસ્તં મન્દિરનિર્મ્માણં દર્શયિતુમાગતાઃ|
2 and Jesus said to them, 'Do ye not see all these? verily I say to you, There may not be left here a stone upon a stone, that shall not be thrown down.'
તતો યીશુસ્તાનુવાચ, યૂયં કિમેતાનિ ન પશ્યથ? યુષ્માનહં સત્યં વદામિ, એતન્નિચયનસ્ય પાષાણૈકમપ્યન્યપાષાણેપરિ ન સ્થાસ્યતિ સર્વ્વાણિ ભૂમિસાત્ કારિષ્યન્તે|
3 And when he is sitting on the mount of the Olives, the disciples came near to him by himself, saying, 'Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?' (aiōn g165)
અનન્તરં તસ્મિન્ જૈતુનપર્વ્વતોપરિ સમુપવિષ્ટે શિષ્યાસ્તસ્ય સમીપમાગત્ય ગુપ્તં પપ્રચ્છુઃ, એતા ઘટનાઃ કદા ભવિષ્યન્તિ? ભવત આગમનસ્ય યુગાન્તસ્ય ચ કિં લક્ષ્મ? તદસ્માન્ વદતુ| (aiōn g165)
4 And Jesus answering said to them, 'Take heed that no one may lead you astray,
તદાનીં યીશુસ્તાનવોચત્, અવધદ્વ્વં, કોપિ યુષ્માન્ ન ભ્રમયેત્|
5 for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray,
બહવો મમ નામ ગૃહ્લન્ત આગમિષ્યન્તિ, ખ્રીષ્ટોઽહમેવેતિ વાચં વદન્તો બહૂન્ ભ્રમયિષ્યન્તિ|
6 and ye shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behoveth all [these] to come to pass, but the end is not yet.
યૂયઞ્ચ સંગ્રામસ્ય રણસ્ય ચાડમ્બરં શ્રોષ્યથ, અવધદ્વ્વં તેન ચઞ્ચલા મા ભવત, એતાન્યવશ્યં ઘટિષ્યન્તે, કિન્તુ તદા યુગાન્તો નહિ|
7 'For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places;
અપરં દેશસ્ય વિપક્ષો દેશો રાજ્યસ્ય વિપક્ષો રાજ્યં ભવિષ્યતિ, સ્થાને સ્થાને ચ દુર્ભિક્ષં મહામારી ભૂકમ્પશ્ચ ભવિષ્યન્તિ,
8 and all these [are] the beginning of sorrows;
એતાનિ દુઃખોપક્રમાઃ|
9 then they shall deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you, and ye shall be hated by all the nations because of my name;
તદાનીં લોકા દુઃખં ભોજયિતું યુષ્માન્ પરકરેષુ સમર્પયિષ્યન્તિ હનિષ્યન્તિ ચ, તથા મમ નામકારણાદ્ યૂયં સર્વ્વદેશીયમનુજાનાં સમીપે ઘૃણાર્હા ભવિષ્યથ|
10 and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.
બહુષુ વિઘ્નં પ્રાપ્તવત્સુ પરસ્પરમ્ ઋતીયાં કૃતવત્સુ ચ એકોઽપરં પરકરેષુ સમર્પયિષ્યતિ|
11 'And many false prophets shall arise, and shall lead many astray;
તથા બહવો મૃષાભવિષ્યદ્વાદિન ઉપસ્થાય બહૂન્ ભ્રમયિષ્યન્તિ|
12 and because of the abounding of the lawlessness, the love of the many shall become cold;
દુષ્કર્મ્મણાં બાહુલ્યાઞ્ચ બહૂનાં પ્રેમ શીતલં ભવિષ્યતિ|
13 but he who did endure to the end, he shall be saved;
કિન્તુ યઃ કશ્ચિત્ શેષં યાવદ્ ધૈર્ય્યમાશ્રયતે, સએવ પરિત્રાયિષ્યતે|
14 and this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations; and then shall the end arrive.
અપરં સર્વ્વદેશીયલોકાન્ પ્રતિમાક્ષી ભવિતું રાજસ્ય શુભસમાચારઃ સર્વ્વજગતિ પ્રચારિષ્યતે, એતાદૃશિ સતિ યુગાન્ત ઉપસ્થાસ્યતિ|
15 'Whenever, therefore, ye may see the abomination of the desolation, that was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever is reading let him observe)
અતો યત્ સર્વ્વનાશકૃદ્ઘૃણાર્હં વસ્તુ દાનિયેલ્ભવિષ્યદ્વદિના પ્રોક્તં તદ્ યદા પુણ્યસ્થાને સ્થાપિતં દ્રક્ષ્યથ, (યઃ પઠતિ, સ બુધ્યતાં)
16 then those in Judea — let them flee to the mounts;
તદાનીં યે યિહૂદીયદેશે તિષ્ઠન્તિ, તે પર્વ્વતેષુ પલાયન્તાં|
17 he on the house-top — let him not come down to take up any thing out of his house;
યઃ કશ્ચિદ્ ગૃહપૃષ્ઠે તિષ્ઠતિ, સ ગૃહાત્ કિમપિ વસ્ત્વાનેતુમ્ અધે નાવરોહેત્|
18 and he in the field — let him not turn back to take his garments.
યશ્ચ ક્ષેત્રે તિષ્ઠતિ, સોપિ વસ્ત્રમાનેતું પરાવૃત્ય ન યાયાત્|
19 'And woe to those with child, and to those giving suck in those days;
તદાનીં ગર્ભિણીસ્તન્યપાયયિત્રીણાં દુર્ગતિ ર્ભવિષ્યતિ|
20 and pray ye that your flight may not be in winter, nor on a sabbath;
અતો યષ્માકં પલાયનં શીતકાલે વિશ્રામવારે વા યન્ન ભવેત્, તદર્થં પ્રાર્થયધ્વમ્|
21 for there shall be then great tribulation, such as was not from the beginning of the world till now, no, nor may be.
આ જગદારમ્ભાદ્ એતત્કાલપર્ય્યનન્તં યાદૃશઃ કદાપિ નાભવત્ ન ચ ભવિષ્યતિ તાદૃશો મહાક્લેશસ્તદાનીમ્ ઉપસ્થાસ્યતિ|
22 And if those days were not shortened, no flesh would have been saved; but because of the chosen, shall those days be shortened.
તસ્ય ક્લેશસ્ય સમયો યદિ હ્સ્વો ન ક્રિયેત, તર્હિ કસ્યાપિ પ્રાણિનો રક્ષણં ભવિતું ન શક્નુયાત્, કિન્તુ મનોનીતમનુજાનાં કૃતે સ કાલો હ્સ્વીકરિષ્યતે|
23 'Then if any one may say to you, Lo, here [is] the Christ! or here! ye may not believe;
અપરઞ્ચ પશ્યત, ખ્રીષ્ટોઽત્ર વિદ્યતે, વા તત્ર વિદ્યતે, તદાનીં યદી કશ્ચિદ્ યુષ્માન ઇતિ વાક્યં વદતિ, તથાપિ તત્ ન પ્રતીત્|
24 for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.
યતો ભાક્તખ્રીષ્ટા ભાક્તભવિષ્યદ્વાદિનશ્ચ ઉપસ્થાય યાનિ મહન્તિ લક્ષ્માણિ ચિત્રકર્મ્માણિ ચ પ્રકાશયિષ્યન્તિ, તૈ ર્યદિ સમ્ભવેત્ તર્હિ મનોનીતમાનવા અપિ ભ્રામિષ્યન્તે|
25 Lo, I did tell you beforehand.
પશ્યત, ઘટનાતઃ પૂર્વ્વં યુષ્માન્ વાર્ત્તામ્ અવાદિષમ્|
26 'If therefore they may say to you, Lo, in the wilderness he is, ye may not go forth; lo, in the inner chambers, ye may not believe;
અતઃ પશ્યત, સ પ્રાન્તરે વિદ્યત ઇતિ વાક્યે કેનચિત્ કથિતેપિ બહિ ર્મા ગચ્છત, વા પશ્યત, સોન્તઃપુરે વિદ્યતે, એતદ્વાક્ય ઉક્તેપિ મા પ્રતીત|
27 for as the lightning doth come forth from the east, and doth appear unto the west, so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
યતો યથા વિદ્યુત્ પૂર્વ્વદિશો નિર્ગત્ય પશ્ચિમદિશં યાવત્ પ્રકાશતે, તથા માનુષપુત્રસ્યાપ્યાગમનં ભવિષ્યતિ|
28 for wherever the carcase may be, there shall the eagles be gathered together.
યત્ર શવસ્તિષ્ઠતિ, તત્રેવ ગૃધ્રા મિલન્તિ|
29 'And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from the heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken;
અપરં તસ્ય ક્લેશસમયસ્યાવ્યવહિતપરત્ર સૂર્ય્યસ્ય તેજો લોપ્સ્યતે, ચન્દ્રમા જ્યોસ્નાં ન કરિષ્યતિ, નભસો નક્ષત્રાણિ પતિષ્યન્તિ, ગગણીયા ગ્રહાશ્ચ વિચલિષ્યન્તિ|
30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in the heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth smite the breast, and they shall see the Son of Man coming upon the clouds of the heaven, with power and much glory;
તદાનીમ્ આકાશમધ્યે મનુજસુતસ્ય લક્ષ્મ દર્શિષ્યતે, તતો નિજપરાક્રમેણ મહાતેજસા ચ મેઘારૂઢં મનુજસુતં નભસાગચ્છન્તં વિલોક્ય પૃથિવ્યાઃ સર્વ્વવંશીયા વિલપિષ્યન્તિ|
31 and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.
તદાનીં સ મહાશબ્દાયમાનતૂર્ય્યા વાદકાન્ નિજદૂતાન્ પ્રહેષ્યતિ, તે વ્યોમ્ન એકસીમાતોઽપરસીમાં યાવત્ ચતુર્દિશસ્તસ્ય મનોનીતજનાન્ આનીય મેલયિષ્યન્તિ|
32 'And from the fig-tree learn ye the simile: When already its branch may have become tender, and the leaves it may put forth, ye know that summer [is] nigh,
ઉડુમ્બરપાદપસ્ય દૃષ્ટાન્તં શિક્ષધ્વં; યદા તસ્ય નવીનાઃ શાખા જાયન્તે, પલ્લવાદિશ્ચ નિર્ગચ્છતિ, તદા નિદાઘકાલઃ સવિધો ભવતીતિ યૂયં જાનીથ;
33 so also ye, when ye may see all these, ye know that it is nigh — at the doors.
તદ્વદ્ એતા ઘટના દૃષ્ટ્વા સ સમયો દ્વાર ઉપાસ્થાદ્ ઇતિ જાનીત|
34 Verily I say to you, this generation may not pass away till all these may come to pass.
યુષ્માનહં તથ્યં વદામિ, ઇદાનીન્તનજનાનાં ગમનાત્ પૂર્વ્વમેવ તાનિ સર્વ્વાણિ ઘટિષ્યન્તે|
35 The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
નભોમેદિન્યો ર્લુપ્તયોરપિ મમ વાક્ કદાપિ ન લોપ્સ્યતે|
36 'And concerning that day and the hour no one hath known — not even the messengers of the heavens — except my Father only;
અપરં મમ તાતં વિના માનુષઃ સ્વર્ગસ્થો દૂતો વા કોપિ તદ્દિનં તદ્દણ્ડઞ્ચ ન જ્ઞાપયતિ|
37 and as the days of Noah — so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;
અપરં નોહે વિદ્યમાને યાદૃશમભવત્ તાદૃશં મનુજસુતસ્યાગમનકાલેપિ ભવિષ્યતિ|
38 for as they were, in the days before the flood, eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, till the day Noah entered into the ark,
ફલતો જલાપ્લાવનાત્ પૂર્વ્વં યદ્દિનં યાવત્ નોહઃ પોતં નારોહત્, તાવત્કાલં યથા મનુષ્યા ભોજને પાને વિવહને વિવાહને ચ પ્રવૃત્તા આસન્;
39 and they did not know till the flood came and took all away; so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man.
અપરમ્ આપ્લાવિતોયમાગત્ય યાવત્ સકલમનુજાન્ પ્લાવયિત્વા નાનયત્, તાવત્ તે યથા ન વિદામાસુઃ, તથા મનુજસુતાગમનેપિ ભવિષ્યતિ|
40 Then two men shall be in the field, the one is received, and the one is left;
તદા ક્ષેત્રસ્થિતયોર્દ્વયોરેકો ધારિષ્યતે, અપરસ્ત્યાજિષ્યતે|
41 two women shall be grinding in the mill, one is received, and one is left.
તથા પેષણ્યા પિંષત્યોરુભયો ર્યોષિતોરેકા ધારિષ્યતેઽપરા ત્યાજિષ્યતે|
42 'Watch ye therefore, because ye have not known in what hour your Lord doth come;
યુષ્માકં પ્રભુઃ કસ્મિન્ દણ્ડ આગમિષ્યતિ, તદ્ યુષ્માભિ ર્નાવગમ્યતે, તસ્માત્ જાગ્રતઃ સન્તસ્તિષ્ઠત|
43 and this know, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief doth come, he had watched, and not suffered his house to be broken through;
કુત્ર યામે સ્તેન આગમિષ્યતીતિ ચેદ્ ગૃહસ્થો જ્ઞાતુમ્ અશક્ષ્યત્, તર્હિ જાગરિત્વા તં સન્ધિં કર્ત્તિતુમ્ અવારયિષ્યત્ તદ્ જાનીત|
44 because of this also ye, become ye ready, because in what hour ye do not think, the Son of Man doth come.
યુષ્માભિરવધીયતાં, યતો યુષ્માભિ ર્યત્ર ન બુધ્યતે, તત્રૈવ દણ્ડે મનુજસુત આયાસ્યતિ|
45 'Who, then, is the servant, faithful and wise, whom his lord did set over his household, to give them the nourishment in season?
પ્રભુ ર્નિજપરિવારાન્ યથાકાલં ભોજયિતું યં દાસમ્ અધ્યક્ષીકૃત્ય સ્થાપયતિ, તાદૃશો વિશ્વાસ્યો ધીમાન્ દાસઃ કઃ?
46 Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;
પ્રભુરાગત્ય યં દાસં તથાચરન્તં વીક્ષતે, સએવ ધન્યઃ|
47 verily I say to you, that over all his substance he will set him.
યુષ્માનહં સત્યં વદામિ, સ તં નિજસર્વ્વસ્વસ્યાધિપં કરિષ્યતિ|
48 'And, if that evil servant may say in his heart, My Lord doth delay to come,
કિન્તુ પ્રભુરાગન્તું વિલમ્બત ઇતિ મનસિ ચિન્તયિત્વા યો દુષ્ટો દાસો
49 and may begin to beat the fellow-servants, and to eat and to drink with the drunken,
ઽપરદાસાન્ પ્રહર્ત્તું મત્તાનાં સઙ્ગે ભોક્તું પાતુઞ્ચ પ્રવર્ત્તતે,
50 the lord of that servant will arrive in a day when he doth not expect, and in an hour of which he doth not know,
સ દાસો યદા નાપેક્ષતે, યઞ્ચ દણ્ડં ન જાનાતિ, તત્કાલએવ તત્પ્રભુરુપસ્થાસ્યતિ|
51 and will cut him off, and his portion with the hypocrites will appoint; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
તદા તં દણ્ડયિત્વા યત્ર સ્થાને રોદનં દન્તઘર્ષણઞ્ચાસાતે, તત્ર કપટિભિઃ સાકં તદ્દશાં નિરૂપયિષ્યતિ|
