Matthew 20
1 'For the reign of the heavens is like to a man, a householder, who went forth with the morning to hire workmen for his vineyard,
೧“ಪರಲೋಕ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ತನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಲು ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಹೊರಟ ಒಬ್ಬ ತೋಟದ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.
2 and having agreed with the workmen for a denary a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
೨ಅವನು ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಒಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯದಂತೆ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಅವರನ್ನು ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.
3 'And having gone forth about the third hour, he saw others standing in the market-place idle,
೩ಅವನು ಪುನಃ ಸುಮಾರುಒಂಭತ್ತು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಸಂತೆಯ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕೆಲಸವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೇ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಂಡು,
4 and to these he said, Go ye — also ye — to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous I will give you;
೪ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀವು ಸಹ ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ನಿಮಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ’ ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವರು ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.
5 and they went away. 'Again, having gone forth about the sixth and the ninth hour, he did in like manner.
೫ಅವನು ಪುನಃ ಸುಮಾರು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಮತ್ತುಮೂರು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದೇ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
6 And about the eleventh hour, having gone forth, he found others standing idle, and saith to them, Why here have ye stood all the day idle?
೬ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸಾರಿಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ ಐದು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಸುಮ್ಮನೇ ನಿಂತಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು, ‘ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನೇ ನಿಂತಿರುವುದೇಕೆ?’ ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
7 they say to him, Because no one did hire us; he saith to them, Go ye — ye also — to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous ye shall receive.
೭ಅವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ, ‘ಯಾರೂ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೂಲಿಗೆ ಕರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ’ ಎಂದರು, ಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, ‘ನೀವು ಸಹ ನನ್ನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾತೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿರಿ’ ಅಂದನು.
8 'And evening having come, the lord of the vineyard saith to his steward, Call the workmen, and pay them the reward, having begun from the last — unto the first.
೮ಸಂಜೆಯಾದಾಗ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾತೋಟದ ಯಜಮಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಕನಿಗೆ, ‘ಆ ಕೂಲಿಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಂದವರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದವರ ತನಕ ಕೂಲಿ ಕೊಡು’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
9 And they of about the eleventh hour having come, did receive each a denary.
೯ಆಗ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲ ಐದು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಬಂದು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದವರು ಬಂದಾಗ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು.
10 'And the first having come, did suppose that they shall receive more, and they received, they also, each a denary,
೧೦ಮೊದಲು ಬಂದವರು ಬಂದಾಗ ತಮಗೆ, ಹೆಚ್ಚು ದೊರೆಯುವುದೆಂದು ನೆನಸಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರಿಗೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ನಾಣ್ಯ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತು.
11 and having received [it], they were murmuring against the householder, saying,
೧೧ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ತೋಟದ ಯಜಮಾನನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಗುಣಗುಟ್ಟಿ,
12 that These, the last, wrought one hour, and thou didst make them equal to us, who were bearing the burden of the day — and the heat.
೧೨‘ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಂದ ಇವರು ಒಂದು ಗಂಟೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾವು ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಸಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಸಮನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೀಯೆ’ ಅಂದರು.
13 'And he answering said to one of them, Comrade, I do no unrighteousness to thee; for a denary didst not thou agree with me?
೧೩ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ, ‘ಸ್ನೇಹಿತನೇ ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಂದು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಾಣ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೆ?
14 take that which is thine, and go; and I will to give to this, the last, also as to thee;
೧೪ನಿನ್ನ ಕೂಲಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬಂದವರಿಗೂ ಕೊಡುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟ.
15 is it not lawful to me to do what I will in mine own? is thine eye evil because I am good?
೧೫ನನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ನನಗೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಾನು ಉದಾರಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನೀನೇಕೆ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚುಪಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ?’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
16 So the last shall be first, and the first last, for many are called, and few chosen.'
೧೬ಹೀಗೆಕಡೆಯವರು ಮೊದಲಿನವರಾಗುವರು ಮೊದಲಿನವರು ಕಡೆಯವರಾಗುವರು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem, took the twelve disciples by themselves in the way, and said to them,
೧೭ಯೇಸು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರನ್ನು ಏಕಾಂತವಾಗಿ ಪಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ,
18 'Lo, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man shall be delivered to the chief priests and scribes,
೧೮“ನೋಡಿರಿನಾವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನನ್ನು ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳ ಕೈಗೊಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವರು. ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ವಿಧಿಸುವರು.
19 and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the nations to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify, and the third day he will rise again.'
೧೯ಆತನನ್ನು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಚಾಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡೆಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿಯೂ ಅನ್ಯಜನರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವರು. ಆದರೆ ಆತನುಮೂರನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
20 Then came near to him the mother of the sons of Zebedee, with her sons, bowing and asking something from him,
೨೦ಆಗ ಜೆಬೆದಾಯನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ತಾಯಿ ತನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು; ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ಒಂದು ಉಪಕಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡಳು.
21 and he said to her, 'What wilt thou?' She saith to him, 'Say, that they may sit — these my two sons — one on thy right hand, and one on the left, in thy reign.'
೨೧ಆತನು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು, “ನಿನ್ನ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ ಏನು?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆಕೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ನಿನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಮಕ್ಕಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು” ಅಂದಳು.
22 And Jesus answering said, 'Ye have not known what ye ask for yourselves; are ye able to drink of the cup that I am about to drink? and with the baptism that I am baptized with, to be baptized?' They say to him, 'We are able.'
೨೨ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, “ನೀವು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಏನೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದು. ನಾನು ಕುಡಿಯಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಆಗುವುದೋ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಅವರು ಆತನಿಗೆ, “ನಮ್ಮಿಂದ ಆಗುವುದು” ಅಂದರು.
23 And he saith to them, 'Of my cup indeed ye shall drink, and with the baptism that I am baptized with ye shall be baptized; but to sit on my right hand and on my left is not mine to give, but — to those for whom it hath been prepared by my father.'
೨೩ಆಗ ಆತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ನೀವು ಕುಡಿಯುವಿರಿ. ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಎಡಬಲಗಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹ ಮಾಡುವುದು ನನ್ನದಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯಿಂದ ಅದು ಯಾರಿಗೆಂದು ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಅವರಿಗೇ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
24 And the ten having heard, were much displeased with the two brothers,
೨೪ಉಳಿದ ಹತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಶಿಷ್ಯರು ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸಹೋದರರ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಟ್ಟುಗೊಂಡರು.
25 and Jesus having called them near, said, 'Ye have known that the rulers of the nations do exercise lordship over them, and those great do exercise authority over them,
೨೫ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಹತ್ತಿರಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಅನ್ಯಜನರಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೊರೆತನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಮುಖ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರದಿಂದ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು.
26 but not so shall it be among you, but whoever may will among you to become great, let him be your ministrant;
೨೬ಆದರೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗಿರಬಾರದು. ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗಿರಲು ಬಯಸುವವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿರಲಿ.
27 and whoever may will among you to be first, let him be your servant;
೨೭ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖನಾಗಿರಲು ಬಯಸುವವನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದಾಸನಾಗಿರಲಿ.
28 even as the Son of Man did not come to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.'
೨೮ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯಕುಮಾರನು ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಅನೇಕರ ವಿಮೋಚನೆಗಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಈಡಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಬಂದನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
29 And they going forth from Jericho, there followed him a great multitude,
೨೯ಅವರು ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನಿಂದ, ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಜನರ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಗುಂಪು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿತು.
30 and lo, two blind men sitting by the way, having heard that Jesus doth pass by, cried, saying, 'Deal kindly with us, sir — Son of David.'
೩೦ಆಗ ದಾರಿಯ ಮಗ್ಗುಲಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದ ಕುರುಡರಿಬ್ಬರು ಯೇಸು ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿ, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ದಾವೀದ ಕುಮಾರನೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
31 And the multitude charged them that they might be silent, and they cried out the more, saying, 'Deal kindly with us sir — Son of David.'
೩೧ಆದರೆ ಆ ಗುಂಪಿನವರು, ಸುಮ್ಮನಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರಾದರೋ, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ದಾವೀದ ಕುಮಾರನೇ, ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸು” ಎಂದು ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.
32 And having stood, Jesus called them, and said, 'What will ye [that] I may do to you?'
೩೨ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ನಿಂತು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರೆದು, “ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೋರುತ್ತೀರಿ?” ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.
33 they say to him, 'Sir, that our eyes may be opened;'
೩೩ಅವರು, “ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ಕಾಣುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡು” ಅಂದರು.
34 and having been moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes, and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
೩೪ಆಗ ಯೇಸು ಕನಿಕರಪಟ್ಟು, ಅವರ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದನು. ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅವರು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡು ಆತನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು.
