Leviticus 24
1 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Et l’Éternel parla à Moïse, disant:
2 'Command the sons of Israel, and they bring unto thee pure olive oil, beaten, for the lamp, to cause a light to go up continually;
Commande aux fils d’Israël qu’ils t’apportent de l’huile d’olive pure, broyée, pour le luminaire, afin de faire brûler la lampe continuellement.
3 at the outside of the vail of the testimony in the tent of meeting doth Aaron arrange it from evening till morning before Jehovah continually — a statute age-during to your generations;
Aaron l’arrangera devant l’Éternel, continuellement, du soir au matin, en dehors du voile du témoignage, dans la tente d’assignation: [c’est] un statut perpétuel en vos générations;
4 by the pure candlestick he doth arrange the lights before Jehovah continually.
il arrangera les lampes sur le chandelier pur, devant l’Éternel, continuellement.
5 'And thou hast taken flour, and hast baked twelve cakes with it, two tenth deals are in the one cake,
Et tu prendras de la fleur de farine, et tu en cuiras douze gâteaux: chaque gâteau sera de deux dixièmes;
6 and thou hast set them two ranks (six in the rank) on the pure table before Jehovah,
et tu les placeras en deux rangées, six par rangée, sur la table pure, devant l’Éternel,
7 and thou hast put on the rank pure frankincense, and it hath been to the bread for a memorial, a fire-offering to Jehovah.
et tu mettras de l’encens pur sur [chaque] rangée; et ce sera un pain de mémorial, un sacrifice par feu à l’Éternel.
8 'On each sabbath-day he arrangeth it before Jehovah continually, from the sons of Israel — a covenant age-during;
Chaque jour de sabbat on les arrangera devant l’Éternel, continuellement, de la part des fils d’Israël: [c’est] une alliance perpétuelle.
9 and it hath been to Aaron, and to his sons, and they have eaten it in the holy place, for it [is] most holy to him, from the fire-offerings of Jehovah — a statute age-during.'
Et cela appartiendra à Aaron et à ses fils, et ils le mangeront dans un lieu saint; car ce lui sera une chose très sainte d’entre les sacrifices de l’Éternel faits par feu: [c’est] un statut perpétuel.
10 And a son of an Israelitish woman goeth out (and he [is] son of an Egyptian man), in the midst of the sons of Israel, and strive in the camp do the son of the Israelitish woman and a man of Israel,
Et le fils d’une femme israélite (mais il était fils d’un homme égyptien), sortit parmi les fils d’Israël; et le fils de la femme israélite et un homme israélite se battirent dans le camp;
11 and the son of the Israelitish woman execrateth the Name, and revileth; and they bring him in unto Moses; and his mother's name [is] Shelomith daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan;
et le fils de la femme israélite blasphéma le Nom et [le] maudit; et on l’amena à Moïse. Or le nom de sa mère était Shelomith, fille de Dibri, de la tribu de Dan.
12 and he causeth him to rest in charge — to explain to them by the mouth of Jehovah.
Et on le mit sous garde, afin de décider [de son sort], selon la parole de l’Éternel.
13 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
Et l’Éternel parla à Moïse, disant:
14 'Bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp; and all those hearing have laid their hands on his head, and all the company have stoned him.
Fais sortir hors du camp celui qui a maudit; et que tous ceux qui l’ont entendu posent leurs mains sur sa tête, et que toute l’assemblée le lapide.
15 'And unto the sons of Israel thou dost speak, saying, When any man revileth his God — then he hath borne his sin;
Et tu parleras aux fils d’Israël, en disant: Tout homme qui aura maudit son Dieu, portera son péché;
16 and he who is execrating the name of Jehovah is certainly put to death; all the company do certainly cast stones at him; as a sojourner so a native, in his execrating the Name, is put to death.
et celui qui blasphémera le nom de l’Éternel sera certainement mis à mort: toute l’assemblée ne manquera pas de le lapider; on mettra à mort tant l’étranger que l’Israélite de naissance, lorsqu’il aura blasphémé le Nom.
17 'And when a man smiteth any soul of man, he is certainly put to death.
Et si quelqu’un a frappé à mort un homme, il sera certainement mis à mort.
18 'And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, body for body.
Et celui qui aura frappé à mort une bête, fera compensation, vie pour vie.
19 'And when a man putteth a blemish in his fellow, as he hath done so it is done to him;
Et si un homme a causé quelque mal corporel à son prochain, il lui sera fait comme il a fait:
20 breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he putteth a blemish in a man so it is done in him.
fracture pour fracture, œil pour œil, dent pour dent; selon le mal corporel qu’il aura causé à un homme, ainsi il lui sera fait.
21 'And he who smiteth a beast repayeth it, and he who smiteth [the life of] man is put to death;
Celui qui frappera [à mort] une bête, fera compensation pour elle, et celui qui aura frappé [à mort] un homme, sera mis à mort.
22 one judgment is to you; as a sojourner so is a native; for I [am] Jehovah your God.'
Il y aura une même loi pour vous: il en sera de l’étranger comme de l’Israélite de naissance; car moi, je suis l’Éternel, votre Dieu.
23 And Moses speaketh unto the sons of Israel, and they bring out the reviler unto the outside of the camp, and stone him with stones; and the sons of Israel have done as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.
Et Moïse parla aux fils d’Israël, et ils firent sortir hors du camp celui qui avait maudit, et le lapidèrent avec des pierres. Et les fils d’Israël firent comme l’Éternel avait commandé à Moïse.
