Leviticus 21
1 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, 'Speak unto the priests, sons of Aaron, and thou hast said unto them, For [any] person [a priest] is not defiled among his people,
௧பின்பு யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி: “ஆரோனின் மகன்களாகிய ஆசாரியர்களில் ஒருவனும் தன் மக்களில் இறந்துபோன ஒருவருக்காகத் தங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தக்கூடாதென்று அவர்களோடே சொல்.
2 except for his relation who [is] near unto him — for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother.
௨தன் தாயும், தன் தகப்பனும், தன் மகனும், தன் மகளும், தன் சகோதரனும்,
3 and for his sister, the virgin, who is near unto him, who hath not been to a man; for her he is defiled.
௩ஆணுக்கு வாழ்க்கைப்படாமல் தன்னிடத்திலிருக்கிற கன்னிப்பெண்ணான தன் சகோதரியுமாகிய தனக்கு நெருங்கிய உறவுமுறையான இவர்களுடைய சாவுக்காகத் தீட்டுப்படலாம்.
4 'A master [priest] doth not defile himself among his people — to pollute himself;
௪தன் மக்களுக்குள்ளே பெரியவனாகிய அவன் வேறொருவருக்காகவும் தன்னைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கித் தீட்டுப்படுத்தக்கூடாது.
5 they do not make baldness on their head, and the corner of their beard they do not shave, and in their flesh they do not make a cutting;
௫அவர்கள் தங்கள் தலையை மொட்டையடிக்காமலும், தங்கள் தாடியின் ஓரங்களைச் சிரைத்துக்கொள்ளாமலும், தங்கள் உடலைக் கீறிக்கொள்ளாமலும் இருப்பார்களாக.
6 they are holy to their God, and they pollute not the name of their God, for the fire-offerings of Jehovah, bread of their God, they are bringing near, and have been holy.
௬தங்கள் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காமல் அவருக்கேற்ற பரிசுத்தராக இருப்பார்களாக; அவர்கள் யெகோவாவின் தகனபலிகளையும் தங்கள் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தையும் செலுத்துகிறவர்களாதலால் பரிசுத்தராக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
7 'A woman, a harlot, or polluted, they do not take, and a woman cast out from her husband they do not take, for he [is] holy to his God;
௭அவர்கள் தங்கள் தேவனுக்குப் பரிசுத்தமானவர்கள், ஆகையால் வேசியையாகிலும், கற்பை இழந்தவளையாகிலும் திருமணம் செய்யக்கூடாது; தன் கணவனாலே விவாகரத்து செய்யப்பட்ட பெண்ணையும் திருமணம் செய்யக்கூடாது.
8 and thou hast sanctified him, for the bread of thy God he is bringing near; he is holy to thee; for holy [am] I, Jehovah, sanctifying you.
௮அவன் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தைச் செலுத்துகிறபடியால் நீ அவனைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தவேண்டும்; உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற யெகோவாகிய நான் பரிசுத்தராக இருக்கிறபடியால், அவனும் உனக்கு முன்பாகப் பரிசுத்தனாக இருப்பானாக.
9 'And a daughter of any priest when she polluteth herself by going a-whoring — her father she is polluting; with fire she is burnt.
௯ஆசாரியனுடைய மகள், வேசித்தனம்செய்து, தன்னைப் பரிசுத்தக்குலைச்சலாக்கினால், அவள் தன் தகப்பனையும் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்குகிறாள்; அவள் நெருப்பிலே சுட்டெரிக்கப்படக்கடவள்.
10 'And the high priest of his brethren, on whose head is poured the anointing oil, and hath consecrated his hand to put on the garments, his head doth not uncover, nor rend his garments,
௧0“தன் சகோதரர்களுக்குள்ளே பிரதான ஆசாரியனாக தன் தலையில் அபிஷேகத்தைலம் ஊற்றப்பட்டவனும், அவனுக்குரிய உடைகளை அணியும்படி பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டவனுமாக இருக்கிறவன் எவனோ, அவன் தன் தலைப்பாகையை எடுக்காமலும், தன் உடைகளைக் கிழித்துக்கொள்ளாமலும்,
11 nor beside any dead person doth he come; for his father and for his mother he doth not defile himself;
௧௧சடலம் கிடக்கும் இடத்தில் போகாமலும், தன் தகப்பனுக்காகவும், தாய்க்காகவும் தன்னைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளாமலும்,
12 nor from the sanctuary doth he go out, nor doth he pollute the sanctuary of his God, for the separation of the anointing oil of his God [is] on him; I [am] Jehovah.
௧௨பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து புறப்படாமலும் தன் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காமலும் இருப்பானாக; அவனுடைய தேவனின் அபிஷேக தைலம் என்னும் கிரீடம் அவன்மேல் இருக்கிறதே: நான் யெகோவா.
13 'And he taketh a wife in her virginity;
௧௩கன்னியாக இருக்கிற பெண்ணை அவன் திருமணம்செய்யவேண்டும்.
14 widow, or cast out, or polluted one — a harlot — these he doth not take, but a virgin of his own people he doth take [for] a wife,
௧௪விதவையையானாலும் விவாகரத்து செய்யப்பட்டவளையானாலும் கற்புக்குலைந்தவளையானாலும் வேசியையானாலும் திருமணம்செய்யாமல், தன் மக்களுக்குள்ளே ஒரு கன்னிகையைத் திருமணம்செய்யக்கடவன்.
15 and he doth not pollute his seed among his people; for I [am] Jehovah, sanctifying him.'
௧௫அவன் தன் வித்தைத் தன் மக்களுக்குள்ளே பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காமல் இருப்பானாக; நான் அவனைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற யெகோவா என்று சொல் என்றார்.
16 And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying,
௧௬பின்னும் யெகோவா மோசேயை நோக்கி:
17 'Speak unto Aaron, saying, No man of thy seed to their generations in whom there is blemish doth draw near to bring near the bread of his God,
௧௭“நீ ஆரோனோடே சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: உன் சந்ததியாருக்குள்ளே உடல் ஊனமுள்ளவன் தலைமுறைதோறும் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தைச் செலுத்தும்படி சேரக்கூடாது.
18 for no man in whom [is] blemish doth draw near — a man blind, or lame or dwarfed, or enlarged,
௧௮ஊனமுள்ள ஒருவனும் அணுகக்கூடாது; குருடனானாலும், சப்பாணியானாலும், குறுகின அல்லது நீண்ட உறுப்புள்ளவனானாலும்,
19 or a man in whom there is a breach in the foot, or a breach in the hand,
௧௯கால் ஒடிந்தவனானாலும், கை ஒடிந்தவனானாலும்,
20 or hump-backed, or a dwarf, or with a mixture in his eye, or a scurvy person, or scabbed, or broken-testicled.
௨0கூன் விழுந்தவனானாலும், குள்ளமானவனானாலும், கண் பார்வை இழந்தவனானாலும், சொறியனானாலும், அசடு உள்ளவனானாலும், விதை நசுங்கினவனானாலும் அணுகக்கூடாது.
21 'No man in whom is blemish (of the seed of Aaron the priest) doth come nigh to bring near the fire-offerings of Jehovah; blemish [is] in him; the bread of his God he doth not come nigh to bring near.
௨௧ஆசாரியனாகிய ஆரோனின் சந்ததியாரில் உடல் ஊனமுள்ள ஒருவனும் யெகோவாவின் தகனபலிகளைச் செலுத்த வரக்கூடாது; அவன் உடல் ஊனமுள்ளவனாக இருப்பதால், அவன் தேவனுடைய அப்பத்தைச் செலுத்த வரக்கூடாது.
22 'Bread of his God — of the most holy things, and of the holy things — he doth eat;
௨௨அவன் தன் தேவனுடைய அப்பமாகிய மகா பரிசுத்தமானவைகளிலும் மற்ற பரிசுத்தமானவைகளிலும் சாப்பிடலாம்.
23 only, unto the vail he doth not enter, and unto the altar he doth not draw nigh; for blemish [is] in him; and he doth not pollute My sanctuaries; for I [am] Jehovah, sanctifying them.'
௨௩ஆனாலும் அவன் உடல் ஊனமுள்ளவன், ஆகையால், அவன் என் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலங்களைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காதபடிக்குத் திரைக்குள்ளே போகாமலும் பலிபீடத்தின் அருகில் சேராமலும் இருப்பானாக; நான் அவர்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிற யெகோவா என்று சொல்” என்றார்.
24 And Moses speaketh unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the sons of Israel.
௨௪மோசே இவைகளை ஆரோனோடும் அவன் மகன்களோடும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் அனைவரோடும் சொன்னான்.
