Lamentations 3
1 I [am] the man [who] hath seen affliction By the rod of His wrath.
೧ಯೆಹೋವನ ರೌದ್ರದಂಡದ ಪೆಟ್ಟನ್ನು ತಿಂದವನು ನಾನೇ.
2 Me He hath led, and causeth to go [in] darkness, and without light.
೨ಆತನೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲೇ ನಡೆಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
3 Surely against me He turneth back, He turneth His hand all the day.
೩ನಿಶ್ಚಯವಾಗಿ ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ದಿನವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
4 He hath worn out my flesh and my skin. He hath broken my bones.
೪ನನ್ನ ಮಾಂಸಚರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ;
5 He hath built up against me, And setteth round poverty and weariness.
೫ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಶ್ರಮಸಂಕಟಗಳ ದಿಬ್ಬಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
6 In dark places He hath caused me to dwell, As the dead of old.
೬ಕಾರ್ಗತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ಬಹುಕಾಲದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸತ್ತವರ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ಇದ್ದೇನೆ.
7 He hath hedged me about, and I go not out, He hath made heavy my fetter.
೭ನಾನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ಸುತ್ತಲು ಗೋಡೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ, ನನಗೆ ಭಾರವಾದ ಬೇಡಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
8 Also when I call and cry out, He hath shut out my prayer.
೮ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಿನ್ನಹಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.
9 He hath hedged my ways with hewn work, My paths He hath made crooked.
೯ನನ್ನ ದಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಡ್ಡವಾಗಿ ಕೆತ್ತನೆಯ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಗೋಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ಹಾದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತುವರಿಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
10 A bear lying in wait He [is] to me, A lion in secret hiding-places.
೧೦ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುವ ಕರಡಿಯಂತಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಗುಪ್ತಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸಿಂಹದ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
11 My ways He is turning aside, and He pulleth me in pieces, He hath made me a desolation.
೧೧ನಾನು ನಡೆದ ದಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವನಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
12 He hath trodden His bow, And setteth me up as a mark for an arrow.
೧೨ತನ್ನ ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಬೊಗ್ಗಿಸಿ ಬಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
13 He hath caused to enter into my reins The sons of His quiver.
೧೩ತನ್ನ ಬತ್ತಳಿಕೆಯ ಅಂಬುಗಳಿಂದ ನನ್ನ ಅಂತರಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಇರಿದಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
14 I have been a derision to all my people, Their song all the day.
೧೪ನಾನು ಸ್ವಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಪದನಾಗಿ, ಹಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಗೇಲಿಯ ಮಾತು ಮತ್ತು ಹಾಡುಗಳಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
15 He hath filled me with bitter things, He hath filled me [with] wormwood.
೧೫ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಕಹಿಯಾದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ವಿಷ ಪಾನವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
16 And He breaketh with gravel my teeth, He hath covered me with ashes.
೧೬ನಾನು ಗರಸು ಕಲ್ಲುಚೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಗೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಮುರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬೂದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಳ್ಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
17 And Thou castest off from peace my soul, I have forgotten prosperity.
೧೭ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿ ಸಮಾಧಾನಕ್ಕೆ ದೂರಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನಾನು ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
18 And I say, Perished hath my strength and my hope from Jehovah.
೧೮“ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ನನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳಾಯಿತು, ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಯಿತು” ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
19 Remember my affliction and my mourning, Wormwood and gall!
೧೯ನಾನು ಅಲೆದು ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೋ, ಕಹಿಯಾದ ನನ್ನ ಆಹಾರಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೋ.
20 Remember well, and bow down doth my soul in me.
೨೦ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಕುಗ್ಗಿದೆ.
21 This I turn to my heart — therefore I hope.
೨೧ಹೀಗಿರಲು ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯುಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ!
22 The kindnesses of Jehovah! For we have not been consumed, For not ended have His mercies.
೨೨ನಾನು ಉಳಿದಿರುವುದು ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಗೆ ಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವ ಆತನ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ; ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೃಪಾವರಗಳ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಿಂತುಹೋಗವು.
23 New every morning, abundant [is] thy faithfulness.
೨೩ದಿನದಿನವು ಹೊಸಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಒದಗುತ್ತವೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತಿಕೆಯು ದೊಡ್ಡದು!
24 My portion [is] Jehovah, hath my soul said, Therefore I hope for Him.
೨೪“ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ನನ್ನ ಪಾಲು, ಆದಕಾರಣ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ಅಂತರಾತ್ಮವು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತದೆ.
25 Good [is] Jehovah to those waiting for Him, To the soul [that] seeketh Him.
೨೫ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಿಗೂ ಮಹೋಪಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
26 Good! when one doth stay and stand still For the salvation of Jehovah.
೨೬ಯೆಹೋವನ ರಕ್ಷಣಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಶಾಂತವಾಗಿ ಕಾದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದು ಒಳ್ಳೇಯದು.
27 Good for a man that he beareth a yoke in his youth.
೨೭ಯೌವನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೊಗಹೊರುವುದು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಹಿತಕರ.
28 He sitteth alone, and is silent, For He hath laid [it] upon him.
೨೮ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಇದನ್ನು ಹೊರಿಸಿದವನು ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಎಂದು ಅವನು ಒಂಟಿಗನಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಮೌನವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
29 He putteth in the dust his mouth, if so be there is hope.
೨೯ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದ ಸುಗತಿಯಾದೀತೆಂಬ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಮುಖವನ್ನು ಕೊಳಕಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಲಿ.
30 He giveth to his smiter the cheek, He is filled with reproach.
೩೦ಹೊಡೆಯುವವನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೆನ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆತುಂಬಾ ತಿನ್ನಲಿ.
31 For the Lord doth not cast off to the age.
೩೧ಕರ್ತನು ನಿರಂತರಕ್ಕೂ ಕೈ ಬಿಡುವವನಲ್ಲ.
32 For though He afflicted, yet He hath pitied, According to the abundance of His kindness.
೩೨ಆತನು ವ್ಯಥೆಗೊಳಿಸಿದರೇನು, ತನ್ನ ಕೃಪಾತಿಶಯದಿಂದ ಕನಿಕರಿಸುವನು.
33 For He hath not afflicted with His heart, Nor doth He grieve the sons of men.
೩೩ನರಜನ್ಮದವರನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿ, ವ್ಯಥೆಗೊಳಿಸುವುದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲ.
34 To bruise under one's feet any bound ones of earth,
೩೪ಲೋಕದ ಸೆರೆಯವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ತುಳಿದುಬಿಡುವುದೂ,
35 To turn aside the judgment of a man, Over-against the face of the Most High,
೩೫ಪರಾತ್ಪರನಾದ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವುದೂ,
36 To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord hath not approved.
೩೬ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗಿ ತೀರಿಸುವುದೂ, ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಾರನೇ?
37 Who [is] this — he hath said, and it is, [And] the Lord hath not commanded [it]?
೩೭ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಯಾರ ಮಾತು ಸಾರ್ಥಕವಾದೀತು?
38 From the mouth of the Most High Go not forth the evils and the good.
೩೮ಪರಾತ್ಪರನಾದ ದೇವರ ಬಾಯಿಯ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದಲೇ ಮೇಲು ಮತ್ತು ಕೇಡುಗಳು ಸಂಭವಿಸುತ್ತವಲ್ಲಾ.
39 What — sigh habitually doth a living man, A man for his sin?
೩೯ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಜೀವ ವರವಿರಲು ತನ್ನ ಪಾಪದ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಗಾಗಿ ಗುಣುಗುಟ್ಟುವುದೇಕೆ?
40 We search our ways, and investigate, And turn back unto Jehovah.
೪೦ನಮ್ಮ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಶೋಧಿಸಿ, ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ.
41 We lift up our heart on the hands unto God in the heavens.
೪೧ಪರಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳೊಡನೆ ಮನಸ್ಸನ್ನೂ ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ಸ್ತುತಿಸೋಣ.
42 We — we have transgressed and rebelled, Thou — Thou hast not forgiven.
೪೨“ನಾವು ಅವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿ ದ್ರೋಹಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ; ನೀನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.
43 Thou hast covered Thyself with anger, And dost pursue us; Thou hast slain — Thou hast not pitied.
೪೩ನೀನು ರೋಷವನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ; ಕನಿಕರಿಸದೆ ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದೀ.
44 Thou hast covered Thyself with a cloud, So that prayer doth not pass through.
೪೪ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಯು ನಿನಗೆ ಮುಟ್ಟಬಾರದೆಂದು ಮೋಡವನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ.
45 Offscouring and refuse Thou dost make us In the midst of the peoples.
೪೫ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಸವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊಲಸನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಹಾಕಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ.
46 Opened against us their mouth have all our enemies.
೪೬ನಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
47 Fear and a snare hath been for us, Desolation and destruction.
೪೭ಭಯವೂ, ಗುಂಡಿಯೂ, ಸಂಹಾರವೂ ಮತ್ತು ಭಂಗವೂ ನಮಗೆ ಕಾದಿವೆ.”
48 Rivulets of water go down my eye, For the destruction of the daughter of my people.
೪೮ಸ್ವಜನರು ನಾಶವಾದ ಕಾರಣ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರು ಹೊಳೆಹೊಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುವುದು.
49 Mine eye is poured out, And doth not cease without intermission,
೪೯ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ಕಟಾಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ನೋಡುವ ತನಕ
50 Till Jehovah looketh and seeth from the heavens,
೫೦ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ರುಧಾರೆ ಸುರಿಸುವುದನ್ನು, ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಬಿಡದು.
51 My eye affecteth my soul, Because of all the daughters of my city.
೫೧ನನ್ನ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಕನ್ಯೆಯರಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಳುತ್ತಿರುವ ನಾನು ಕಣ್ಣುರಿಯಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
52 Hunted me sore as a bird have my enemies without cause.
೫೨ನಿಷ್ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳು ಪಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನೋ ಎಂಬಂತೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿದರು.
53 They have cut off in a pit my life, And they cast a stone against me.
೫೩ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನೆಲಮಾಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿಸಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಮುಚ್ಚಿ ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟರು
54 Flowed have waters over my head, I have said, I have been cut off.
೫೪ಪ್ರವಾಹವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಣುಗಿಸಿತು; ಆಗ ಸತ್ತೆನು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
55 I called Thy name, O Jehovah, from the lower pit.
೫೫ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಅಗಾಧವಾದ ನೆಲಮಾಳಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಸರೆತ್ತಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದೆನು.
56 My voice Thou hast heard, Hide not Thine ear at my breathing — at my cry.
೫೬ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಧ್ವನಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದಿ; ನನ್ನ ನಿಟ್ಟುಸಿರಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಮೊರೆಗೂ ಕಿವಿಯನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ!
57 Thou hast drawn near in the day I call Thee, Thou hast said, Fear not.
೫೭ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ನನ್ನ ಸಮೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು “ಭಯಪಡಬೇಡ” ಎಂದು ಅಭಯವಚನ ನೀಡಿದೆ.
58 Thou hast pleaded, O Lord, the pleadings of my soul, Thou hast redeemed my life.
೫೮ಕರ್ತನೇ, ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿದ್ದೀ.
59 Thou hast seen, O Jehovah, my overthrow, Judge Thou my cause.
೫೯ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನನಗಾದ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀ, ನನಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸು.
60 Thou hast seen all their vengeance, All their thoughts of me.
೬೦ನನ್ನ ವೈರಿಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ತೀರಿಸಿದ ಹಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೀಯಲ್ಲಾ.
61 Thou hast heard their reproach, O Jehovah, All their thoughts against me,
೬೧ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೂಷಣೆಯೂ, ನನ್ನ ಹಾನಿಗಾಗಿ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳೂ,
62 The lips of my withstanders, Even their meditation against me all the day.
೬೨ನಿತ್ಯ ನಡಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ತಂತ್ರೋಪಾಯವೂ ಮತ್ತು ನನ್ನ ಎದುರಾಳಿಗಳ ನಿಂದೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿವೆಯಷ್ಟೆ.
63 Their sitting down, and their rising up, Behold attentively, I [am] their song.
೬೩ಅವರು ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿ, ಏಳಲಿ ನೋಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರು; ನಾನು ಅವರ ಗೇಲಿಯ ಹಾಡಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
64 Thou returnest to them the deed, O Jehovah, According to the work of their hands.
೬೪ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ನೀನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡುವಿ;
65 Thou givest to them a covered heart, Thy curse to them.
೬೫ಅವರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಶಾಪವು ಅವರ ಮೇಲಿರಲಿ!
66 Thou pursuest in anger, and destroyest them, From under the heavens of Jehovah!
೬೬ನೀನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಉಳಿಯದಂತೆ ಅಳಿಸಿಬಿಡುವಿ.
