Joshua 21

1 And the heads of the fathers of the Levites draw nigh unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel,

۱ آنگاه روسای آبای لاویان نزد العازرکاهن و نزد یوشع بن نون و نزد روسای آبای اسباط بنی‌اسرائیل آمدند.

2 and they speak unto them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, 'Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.'

۲ و ایشان را درشیلوه در زمین کنعان مخاطب ساخته، گفتند که «خداوند به واسطه موسی‌امر فرموده است که شهرها برای سکونت و حوالی آنها به جهت بهایم ما، به ما داده شود.»

3 And the sons of Israel give to the Levites, out of their inheritance, at the command of Jehovah, these cities and their suburbs:

۳ پس بنی‌اسرائیل برحسب فرمان خداوند این شهرها را با حوالی آنها از ملک خود به لاویان دادند.

4 And the lot goeth out for the families of the Kohathite, and there are for the sons of Aaron the priest (of the Levites), out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, by lot thirteen cities,

۴ و قرعه برای قبایل قهاتیان بیرون آمد، وبرای پسران هارون کاهن که از‌جمله لاویان بودند سیزده شهر از سبط یهودا، و از سبط شمعون و ازسبط بنیامین به قرعه رسید.

5 and for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities:

۵ و برای بقیه پسران قهات، ده شهر از قبایل سبط افرایم و از سبط دان و از نصف سبط منسی به قرعه رسید.

6 And for the sons of Gershon [are], out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities.

۶ و برای پسران جرشون سیزده شهر از قبایل سبط یساکار و از سبط اشیر و از سبط نفتالی و ازنصف سبط منسی در باشان به قرعه رسید.

7 For the sons of Merari, for their families, [are], out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.

۷ و برای پسران مراری برحسب قبایل ایشان دوازده شهر از سبط روبین و از سبط جاد و از سبطزبولون رسید.

8 And the sons of Israel give to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Jehovah commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot.

۸ و بنی‌اسرائیل، این شهرها و حوالی آنها را به لاویان به قرعه دادند، چنانکه خداوند به واسطه موسی‌امر فرموده بود.

9 And they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;

۹ و از سبط بنی یهودا و از سبط بنی شمعون این شهرها را که به نامها ذکر می‌شود، دادند.

10 and they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for theirs hath been the first lot;

۱۰ واینها به پسران هارون که از قبایل قهاتیان ازبنی لاوی بودند رسید، زیرا که قرعه اول از ایشان بود.

11 and they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it [is] Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its suburbs round about it;

۱۱ پس قریه اربع پدر عناق که حبرون باشددر کوهستان یهودا با حوالی که در اطراف آن بود، به ایشان دادند.

12 and the field of the city and its villages they have given to Caleb son of Jephunneh for his possession.

۱۲ لیکن مزرعه های شهر و دهات آن را به کالیب بن یفنه برای ملکیت دادند.

13 And to the sons of Aaron the priest they have given the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Hebron and its suburbs, and Libnah and its suburbs,

۱۳ و به پسران هارون کاهن، حبرون را که شهرملجای قاتلان است با حوالی آن، و لبنه را باحوالی آن دادند.

14 and Jattir and its suburbs, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs,

۱۴ و یتیر را با نواحی آن واشتموع را با نواحی آن.

15 and Holon and its suburbs, and Debir and its suburbs,

۱۵ و حولون را با نواحی آن و دبیر را با نواحی آن.

16 and Ain and its suburbs, and Juttah and its suburbs, Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs; nine cities out of these two tribes.

۱۶ و عین را با نواحی آن و یطه را با نواحی آن و بیت شمس را با نواحی آن، یعنی از این دو سبط نه شهر را.

17 And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon and its suburbs, Geba and its suburbs,

۱۷ و از سبطبنیامین جبعون را با نواحی آن و جبع را با نواحی آن.

18 Anathoth and its suburbs, and Almon and its suburbs — four cities;

۱۸ عناتوت را با نواحی آن و علمون را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر دادند.

19 all the cities of the sons of Aaron the priests, [are] thirteen cities and their suburbs.

۱۹ تمامی شهرهای پسران هارون کهنه سیزده شهر با نواحی آنها بود.

20 And for the families of the sons of Kohath, the Levites, who are left of the sons of Kohath, even the cities of their lot are of the tribe of Ephraim;

۲۰ و اما قبایل بنی قهات لاویان، یعنی بقیه بنی قهات شهرهای قرعه ایشان از سبط افرایم بود.

21 and they give to them the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Shechem and its suburbs, in the hill-country of Ephraim, and Gezer and its suburbs,

۲۱ پس شکیم را در کوهستان افرایم که شهرملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و جازر را بانواحی آن به ایشان دادند.

22 and Kibzaim and its suburbs, and Beth-Horon and its suburbs — four cities.

۲۲ و قبصایم را بانواحی آن و بیت حورون را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.

23 And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh and its suburbs, Gibbethon and its suburbs,

۲۳ و از سبط دان التقی را با نواحی آن و جبتون را با نواحی آن.

24 Aijalon and its suburbs, Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs — four cities.

۲۴ و ایلون را با نواحی آن و جت رمون را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.

25 And out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, Taanach and its suburbs, and Gath-Rimmon and its suburbs — two cities;

۲۵ و از نصف سبط منسی تعنک را با نواحی آن وجت رمون را با نواحی آن، یعنی دو شهر دادند.

26 all the cities [are] ten and their suburbs, for the families of the sons of Kohath who are left.

۲۶ تمامی شهرهای قبایل بقیه بنی قهات با نواحی آنها ده بود.

27 And for the sons of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Golan in Bashan and its suburbs, and Beeshterah and its suburbs — two cities.

۲۷ و به بنی جرشون که از قبایل لاویان بودند ازنصف سبط منسی جولان را در باشان که شهرملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و بعشتره را بانواحی آن، یعنی دو شهر دادند.

28 And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon and its suburbs, Dabarath and its suburbs,

۲۸ و از سبطیساکار قشیون را با نواحی آن و دابره را با نواحی آن.

29 Jarmuth and its suburbs, En-Gannim and its suburbs — four cities.

۲۹ و یرموت را با نواحی آن و عین جنیم را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.

30 And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal and its suburbs, Abdon and its suburbs,

۳۰ و از سبط اشیرمشال را با نواحی آن و عبدون را با نواحی آن.

31 Helkath and its suburbs, and Rehob and its suburbs — four cities.

۳۱ و حلقات را با نواحی آن و رحوب را با نواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.

32 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Kedesh in Galilee and its suburbs, and Hammoth-Dor and its suburbs, and Kartan and its suburbs — three cities;

۳۲ و از سبط نفتالی قادش رادر جلیل که شهر ملجای قاتلان است با نواحی آن و حموت دور را با نواحی آن و قرتان را، یعنی سه شهر دادند.

33 all the cities of the Gershonite, for their families, [are] thirteen cities and their suburbs.

۳۳ و تمامی شهرهای جرشونیان برحسب قبایل ایشان سیزده شهر بود با نواحی آنها.

34 And for the families of the sons of Merari, the Levites, who are left, [are, ] out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam and its suburbs, Kartah and its suburbs,

۳۴ و به قبایل بنی مراری که از لاویان باقی‌مانده بودند، از سبط زبولون یقنعام را با نواحی آن و قرته را با نواحی آن.

35 Dimnah and its suburbs, Nahalal and its suburbs — four cities.

۳۵ و دمنه را با نواحی آن و نحلال را با نواحی، یعنی چهار شهر.

36 And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer and its suburbs, and Jahazah and its suburbs,

۳۶ و از سبطروبین، باصر را با نواحی آن و یهصه را با نواحی آن.

37 Kedemoth and its suburbs, and Mephaath and its suburbs — four cities.

۳۷ و قدیموت را با نواحی آن و میفعه را بانواحی آن، یعنی چهار شهر.

38 And out of the tribe of Gad, the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Ramoth in Gilead and its suburbs, and Mahanaim and its suburbs,

۳۸ و از سبط جادراموت را در جلعاد که شهر ملجای قاتلان است بانواحی آن و محنایم را با نواحی آن.

39 Heshbon and its suburbs, Jazer and its suburbs — [in] all four cities.

۳۹ و حشبون را با نواحی آن و یعزیر را با نواحی آن؛ همه این شهرها چهار می‌باشد.

40 All the cities for the sons of Merari, for their families, who are left of the families of the Levites — their lot is twelve cities.

۴۰ همه اینها شهرهای بنی مراری برحسب قبایل ایشان بود، یعنی بقیه قبایل لاویان و قرعه ایشان دوازده شهر بود.

41 All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the sons of Israel [are] forty and eight cities, and their suburbs.

۴۱ و جمیع شهرهای لاویان در میان ملک بنی‌اسرائیل چهل و هشت شهر با نواحی آنها بود.

42 These cities are each city and its suburbs round about it; so to all these cities.

۴۲ این شهرها هر یکی با نواحی آن به هر طرفش بود، و برای همه این شهرها چنین بود.

43 And Jehovah giveth to Israel the whole of the land which He hath sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;

۴۳ پس خداوند تمامی زمین را که برای پدران ایشان قسم خورده بود که به ایشان بدهد به اسرائیل داد، و آن را به تصرف آورده، در آن ساکن شدند.

44 and Jehovah giveth rest to them round about, according to all that which He hath sworn to their fathers, and there hath not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, the whole of their enemies hath Jehovah given into their hand;

۴۴ و خداوند ایشان را از هر طرف آرامی داد چنانکه به پدران ایشان قسم خورده بود، واحدی از دشمنان ایشان نتوانست با ایشان مقاومت نماید، زیرا که خداوند جمیع دشمنان ایشان را به‌دست ایشان سپرده بود.

45 there hath not fallen a thing of all the good thing which Jehovah spake unto the house of Israel — the whole hath come.

۴۵ و از جمیع سخنان نیکویی که خداوند به خاندان اسرائیل گفته بود، سخنی به زمین نیفتاد بلکه همه واقع شد.
