Joshua 15

1 And the lot for the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families, is unto the border of Edom; the wilderness of Zin southward, at the extremity of the south;

Acesta a fost sorțul tribului copiilor lui Iuda după familiile lor, până la granița cu Edom, pustiul Țin, spre sud, era cel mai îndepărtat ținut dinspre sud.

2 and to them the south border is at the extremity of the salt sea, from the bay which is looking southward;

Și granița lor dinspre sud era de la țărmul Mării Sărate, de la golful care se întoarce spre sud;

3 and it hath gone out unto the south to Maaleh-Akrabbim, and passed over to Zin, and gone up on the south to Kadesh-Barnea, and passed over [to] Hezron, and gone up to Adar, and turned round to Karkaa,

Și ieșea dinspre sud la Maal-Acrabim și trecea până la Țin și se urca pe la sud spre Cades-Barnea și trecea la Hețron și urca spre Adar și face o rotire până la Carca.

4 and passed over [to] Azmon, and gone out [at] the brook of Egypt, and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea; this is to you the south border.

Și trecea spre Ațmon și ieșea la râul Egiptului; și ieșirile acelui ținut erau la mare. Acesta să fie ținutul vostru spre sud.

5 And the east border [is] the salt sea, unto the extremity of the Jordan, and the border at the north quarter [is] from the bay of the sea, at the extremity of the Jordan;

Și marginea de est era Marea Sărată până la capătul Iordanului. Și marginea dinspre partea de nord era de la golful mării care este la capătul Iordanului;

6 and the border hath gone up [to] Beth-Hoglah, and passed over on the north of Beth-Arabah, and the border hath gone up [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben:

Și granița urca spre Bet-Hogla și trecea spre nord de Bet-Araba; și granița se urca până la piatra lui Bohan, fiul lui Ruben;

7 and the border hath gone up towards Debir from the valley of Achor, and northward looking unto Gilgal, which [is] over-against the ascent of Adummim, which [is] on the south of the brook, and the border hath passed over unto the waters of En-Shemesh, and its outgoings have been unto En-Rogel;

Și granița urca spre Debir, de la valea lui Acor, și se întorcea spre nord spre Ghilgal, care este în dreptul urcării Adumim, care este la sud de râu; și granița trecea spre apele din En-Șemeș și ieșirile erau la En-Roguel;

8 and the border hath gone up the valley of the son of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite on the south (it [is] Jerusalem), and the border hath gone up unto the top of the hill-country which [is] on the front of the valley of Hinnom westward, which [is] in the extremity of the valley of the Rephaim northward;

Și granița urca pe valea fiului lui Hinom către latura de sud a Iebusului, care este Ierusalimul; și granița se urca până la vârful muntelui care este în fața văii lui Hinom spre vest, care este la capătul văii uriașilor, spre nord.

9 and the border hath been marked out, from the top of the hill-country unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and hath gone out unto the cities of mount Ephron, and the border hath been marked out [to] Baalah, (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim);

Și granița a fost trasă de la vârful muntelui până la fântâna Neftoah și ieșea spre cetățile muntelui Efron; și granița a fost trasă prin Baala, care este Chiriat-Iearim;

10 and the border hath gone round from Baalah westward, unto mount Seir, and passed over unto the side of mount Jearim (it [is] Chesalon), on the north, and gone down [to] Beth-Shemesh, and passed over to Timnah;

Și granița înconjura de la Baala spre vest până la muntele Seir și trecea spre latura muntelui Iearim, care este Chesalon, spre partea de nord și cobora la Bet-Șemeș și trecea pe la Timna.

11 and the border hath gone out unto the side of Ekron northward, and the border hath been marked out [to] Shicron, and hath passed over to mount Baalah, and gone out [to] Jabneel; and the outgoings of the border have been at the sea.

Și granița ieșea la latura Ecronului spre nord; și granița a fost trasă spre Șicron și trecea de muntele Baala și ieșea spre Iabneel; și ieșirile ținutului erau la mare.

12 And the west border [is] to the great sea, and [its] border; this [is] the border of the sons of Judah round about for their families.

Și granița de vest era Marea cea Mare și țărmul ei. Acesta este ținutul copiilor lui Iuda, de jur-împrejur după familiile lor.

13 And to Caleb son of Jephunneh hath he given a portion in the midst of the sons of Judah, according to the command of Jehovah to Joshua, [even] the city of Arba, father of Anak — it [is] Hebron.

Și lui Caleb, fiul lui Iefune, i-a dat o parte între copiii lui Iuda, conform poruncii DOMNULUI către Iosua, adică cetatea lui Arba, tatăl lui Anac, care este Hebron.

14 And Caleb is dispossessing thence the three sons of Anak, Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, children of Anak,

Și Caleb a alungat de acolo pe cei trei fii ai lui Anac: pe Șeșai și pe Ahiman și pe Talmai, copiii lui Anac.

15 and he goeth up thence unto the inhabitants of Debir; and the name of Debir formerly is Kirjath-Sepher.

Și de acolo s-a urcat la locuitorii Debirului; iar numele Debirului mai înainte era Chiriat-Sefer.

16 And Caleb saith, 'He who smiteth Kirjath-Sephar, and hath captured it — I have given to him Achsah my daughter for a wife.'

Și Caleb a spus: Celui care va bate Chiriat-Seferul și îl va lua îi voi da de soție pe Acsa, fiica mea.

17 And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, doth capture it, and he giveth to him Achsah his daughter for a wife.

Și Otniel, fiul lui Chenaz, fratele lui Caleb, l-a luat; iar el i-a dat de soție pe fiica sa, Acsa.

18 And it cometh to pass, in her coming in, that she persuadeth him to ask from her father a field, and she lighteth from off the ass, and Caleb saith to her, 'What — to thee?'

Și s-a întâmplat, când a venit ea la el, că l-a provocat să ceară de la tatăl ei un câmp; și ea s-a dat jos de pe măgar; și Caleb i-a spus: Ce voiești?

19 And she saith, 'Give to me a blessing; when the land of the south thou hast given me, then thou hast given to me springs of waters;' and he giveth to her the upper springs and the lower springs.

Iar ea a răspuns: Dă-mi o binecuvântare, fiindcă mi-ai dat un pământ din sud, dă-mi și izvoare de apă. Și i-a dat izvoarele de sus și izvoarele de jos.

20 This [is] the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, for their families.

Aceasta este moștenirea tribului copiilor lui Iuda, după familiile lor.

21 And the cities at the extremity of the tribe of the sons of Judah are unto the border of Edom in the south, Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur,

Și cetățile din partea cea mai depărtată a copiilor lui Iuda, către ținutul Edomului, dinspre sud, au fost Cabțeel și Eder și Iagur,

22 and Kinah, and Dimonah, and Adadah,

Și Kinah și Dimona și Adada,

23 and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Ithnan,

Și Chedeș și Hațor și Itnan,

24 Ziph, and Telem, and Bealoth,

Și Zif și Telem și Bealot,

25 and Hazor, Hadattah, and Kerioth, Hezron, (it [is] Hazor, )

Și Hațor, Hadata și Cheriot și Hețron, care este Hațor,

26 Amam, and Shema, and Moladah,

Amam și Șema și Molada,

27 and Hazar-Gaddah, and Heshmon, and Beth-Palet,

Și Hațar-Gada și Heșmon și Bet-Palet,

28 and Hazar-Shual, and Beer-Sheba, and Bizjothjah,

Și Hațar-Șual și Beer-Șeba și Biziotia,

29 Baalah, and Iim, and Azem,

Baala și Iim și Ațem;

30 And Eltolad, and Chesil, and Hormah,

Și Eltolad și Chesil și Horma,

31 and Ziklag, and Madmannah, and Sansannah,

Și Țiclag și Madmana și Sansana,

32 and Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon; all the cities [are] twenty and nine, and their villages.

Și Lebaot și Șilhim și Ain și Rimon; toate cetățile sunt douăzeci și nouă, cu satele lor.

33 In the low country: Eshtaol, and Zoreah, and Ashnah,

Și în vale erau Eștaol și Țoreea și Așna,

34 and Zanoah, and En-Gannim, Tappuah, and Enam,

Și Zanoah și En-Ganim, Tapuah și Enam,

35 Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah,

Și Iarmut și Adulam, Soco și Azeca,

36 and Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities and their villages.

Și Șaaraim și Aditaim și Ghedera și Ghederotaim; paisprezece cetăți cu satele lor.

37 Zenan, and Hadashah, and Migdal-Gad,

Țenan și Hadașa și Migdal-Gad,

38 and Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,

Și Dilean și Mițpa și Iocteel,

39 Lachish, and Bozkath, and Eglon,

Lachis și Boțcat și Eglon,

40 and Cabbon, and Lahmam, and Kithlish,

Și Cabon și Lahmam și Chitliș,

41 and Gederoth, Beth-Dagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities and their villages.

Și Ghederot și Bet-Dagon și Naama și Macheda; șaisprezece cetăți cu satele lor.

42 Libnah, and Ether, and Ashan,

Libna și Eter și Așan,

43 and Jiphtah, and Ashnah, and Nezib,

Și Iiftah și Așna și Nețib,

44 and Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities and their villages.

Și Cheila și Aczib și Mareșa; nouă cetăți cu satele lor.

45 Ekron and its towns and its villages,

Ecron cu orașele sale și satele sale.

46 from Ekron and westward, all that [are] by the side of Ashdod, and their villages.

De la Ecron până la mare, toate vecinătățile Asdodului cu satele lor;

47 Ashdod, its towns and its villages, Gaza, its towns and its villages, unto the brook of Egypt, and the great sea, and [its] border.

Asdod cu orașele sale și satele sale; Gaza cu orașele sale și satele sale, până la râul Egiptului și marea cea mare și malul ei.

48 And in the hill-country: Shamir, and Jattir, and Socoh,

Și în munți: Șamir și Iatir și Soco,

49 and Dannah, and Kirjath-Sannah (it [is] Debir)

Și Dana și Chiriat-Sana, care este Debir,

50 and Anab, and Eshtemoh, and Anim,

Și Anab și Eștemo și Anim,

51 and Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities and their villages.

Și Gosen și Holon și Ghilo; unsprezece cetăți cu satele lor;

52 Arab, and Dumah, and Eshean,

Arab și Duma și Eșean,

53 and Janum, and Beth-Tappuah, and Aphekah,

Și Ianum și Bet-Tapuah și Afeca,

54 and Humtah, and Kirjath-Arba (it [is] Hebron), and Zior; nine cities and their villages.

Și Humta și Chiriat-Arba, care este Hebron și Țior; nouă cetăți cu satele lor.

55 Maon, Carmel, and Ziph, and Juttah,

Maon, Carmel și Zif și Iuta,

56 and Jezreel, and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,

Și Izreel și Iocdeam și Zanoah,

57 Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities and their villages.

Cain, Ghibea și Timna; zece cetăți și satele lor.

58 Halhul, Beth-Zur, and Gedor,

Halhul, Bet-Țur și Ghedor,

59 and Maarath, and Beth-Anoth, and Eltekon; six cities and their villages.

Și Maarat și Bet-Anot și Eltecon; șase cetăți cu satele lor;

60 Kirjath-Baal (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), and Rabbah; two cities and their villages.

Chiriat-Baal, care este Chiriat-Iearim și Raba; două cetăți cu satele lor.

61 In the wilderness: Beth-Arabah, Middin, and Secacah,

În pustiu: Bet-Araba, Midin și Secaca,

62 and Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and En-Gedi; six cities and their villages.

Și Nibșan și cetatea sării și En-Ghedi; șase cetăți cu satele lor.

63 As to the Jebusites, inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah have not been able to dispossess them, and the Jebusite dwelleth with the sons of Judah in Jerusalem unto this day.

Cât despre iebusiți care locuiau în Ierusalim, copiii lui Iuda, nu au putut să îi alunge; și iebusiții locuiesc cu copiii lui Iuda în Ierusalim până în această zi.
