1 And these [are] kings of the land whom the sons of Israel have smitten, and possess their land, beyond the Jordan, at the sun-rising, from the brook Arnon unto mount Hermon, and all the plain eastward.

Voici les rois que les enfants d’Israël battirent, et dont ils possédèrent le pays de l’autre côté du Jourdain, vers le soleil levant, depuis le torrent de l’Arnon jusqu’à la montagne de l’Hermon, avec toute la plaine à l’orient.

2 Sihon, king of the Amorite, who is dwelling in Heshbon, ruling from Aroer which [is] on the border of the brook Arnon, and the middle of the brook, and half of Gilead, and unto Jabok the brook, the border of the Bene-Ammon;

Sihon, roi des Amoréens, qui habitait à Hesbon. Sa domination s’étendait depuis Aroër, qui est au bord du torrent de l’Arnon, et, depuis le milieu du torrent, sur la moitié de Galaad, jusqu’au torrent de Jabbok, frontière des enfants d’Ammon;

3 And the plain unto the sea of Chinneroth eastward, and unto the sea of the plain (the salt sea) eastward, the way to Beth-Jeshimoth, and from the south under the springs of Pisgah.

sur la plaine, jusqu’à la mer de Kinnéreth à l’orient, et jusqu’à la mer de la plaine, la mer Salée, à l’orient vers Beth-Jeschimoth; et du côté du midi, sur le pied du Pisga.

4 And the border of Og king of Bashan (of the remnant of the Rephaim), who is dwelling in Ashtaroth and in Edrei,

Og, roi de Basan, seul reste des Rephaïm, qui habitait à Aschtaroth et à Édréï.

5 and ruling in mount Hermon, and in Salcah, and in all Bashan, unto the border of the Geshurite, and the Maachathite, and the half of Gilead, the border of Sihon king of Heshbon.

Sa domination s’étendait sur la montagne de l’Hermon, sur Salca, sur tout Basan jusqu’à la frontière des Gueschuriens et des Maacathiens, et sur la moitié de Galaad, frontière de Sihon, roi de Hesbon.

6 Moses, servant of Jehovah, and the sons of Israel have smitten them, and Moses, servant of Jehovah, giveth it — a possession to the Reubenite, and to the Gadite, and to the half of the tribe of Manasseh.

Moïse, serviteur de l’Éternel, et les enfants d’Israël, les battirent; et Moïse, serviteur de l’Éternel, donna leur pays en possession aux Rubénites, aux Gadites, et à la moitié de la tribu de Manassé.

7 And these [are] kings of the land whom Joshua and the sons of Israel have smitten beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal-Gad, in the valley of Lebanon, and unto the mount of Halak, which is going up to Seir; and Joshua giveth it to the tribes of Israel — a possession according to their divisions;

Voici les rois que Josué et les enfants d’Israël battirent de ce côté-ci du Jourdain, à l’occident, depuis Baal-Gad dans la vallée du Liban jusqu’à la montagne nue qui s’élève vers Séir. Josué donna leur pays en possession aux tribus d’Israël, à chacune sa portion,

8 in the hill-country, and in the low country, and in the plain, and in the springs, and in the wilderness, and in the south; the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:

dans la montagne, dans la vallée, dans la plaine, sur les coteaux, dans le désert, et dans le midi; pays des Héthiens, des Amoréens, des Cananéens, des Phéréziens, des Héviens et des Jébusiens.

9 The king of Jericho, one; The king of Ai, which [is] beside Bethel, one;

Le roi de Jéricho, un; le roi d’Aï, près de Béthel, un;

10 The king of Jerusalem, one; The king of Hebron, one;

le roi de Jérusalem, un; le roi d’Hébron, un;

11 The king of Jarmuth, one; The king of Lachish, one;

le roi de Jarmuth, un; le roi de Lakis, un;

12 The king of Eglon, one; The king of Gezer, one;

13 The king of Debir, one; The king of Geder, one;
