< John 17 >
1 These things spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to the heaven, and said — 'Father, the hour hath come, glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee,
Yesu kaa saa nsɛm yi wiee no, ɔhwɛɛ ɔsoro bɔɔ mpae se, “Agya, bere no adu. Hyɛ wo Ba no anuonyam, na Ɔba no nso nhyɛ wo anuonyam.
2 according as Thou didst give to him authority over all flesh, that — all that Thou hast given to him — he may give to them life age-during; (aiōnios )
Womaa no nnipa nyinaa so tumi sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a ɔbɛma wɔn a wode wɔn maa no no nkwa a enni awiei. (aiōnios )
3 and this is the life age-during, that they may know Thee, the only true God, and him whom Thou didst send — Jesus Christ; (aiōnios )
Na ɔkwan a wɔnam so benya nkwa a enni awiei ne sɛ, wobehu Onyankopɔn koro nokwafo no ne Yesu Kristo a wosomaa no baa asase so no! (aiōnios )
4 I did glorify Thee on the earth, the work I did finish that Thou hast given me, that I may do [it].
Mawie adwuma a wode hyɛɛ me nsa no yɛ nam so ada wʼanuonyam adi akyerɛ wɔ asase so.
5 'And now, glorify me, Thou Father, with Thyself, with the glory that I had before the world was, with Thee;
Na afei, Agya, fa anuonyam a mewɔ wɔ wʼanim ansa na wobɔ wiase no hyɛ me wɔ wʼanim ha.
6 I did manifest Thy name to the men whom Thou hast given to me out of the world; Thine they were, and to me Thou hast given them, and Thy word they have kept;
“Mama nnipa a na anka wɔte wiase a wode wɔn hyɛɛ me nsa no ahu wo. Na wɔyɛ wo de na wode wɔn maa me. Wɔatie wʼasɛm.
7 now they have known that all things, as many as Thou hast given to me, are from Thee,
Afei, wɔahu sɛ biribiara a wode ama me no fi wo nkyɛn.
8 because the sayings that Thou hast given to me, I have given to them, and they themselves received, and have known truly, that from Thee I came forth, and they did believe that Thou didst send me.
Mekaa asɛm a woka kyerɛɛ me se menka nkyerɛ wɔn no kyerɛɛ wɔn na wotiei. Wonim sɛ ɛyɛ nokware sɛ mifi wo nkyɛn na mebae. Na wogye di sɛ wo na wosomaa me.
9 'I ask in regard to them; not in regard to the world do I ask, but in regard to those whom Thou hast given to me, because Thine they are,
Mebɔ mpae ma wɔn. Memmɔ mpae mma wɔn a wonnye wʼasɛm nni, na mmom nnipa a wode wɔn maa me no na mebɔ mpae ma wɔn, efisɛ wɔyɛ wo de.
10 and all mine are Thine, and Thine [are] mine, and I have been glorified in them;
Biribiara a mewɔ no yɛ wo de na biribiara a wowɔ no nso yɛ me de. Ɛnam eyinom so ama manya anuonyam.
11 and no more am I in the world, and these are in the world, and I come unto Thee. Holy Father, keep them in Thy name, whom Thou hast given to me, that they may be one as we;
Na afei, merefi wiase na magyaw wɔn wɔ akyi aba wo nkyɛn. Agya Kronkron, wɔn a wode wɔn maa me no, fa wo din a tumi wɔ mu no bɔ wɔn ho ban na wɔayɛ baako sɛnea wo ne me yɛ baako no.
12 when I was with them in the world, I was keeping them in Thy name; those whom Thou hast given to me I did guard, and none of them was destroyed, except the son of the destruction, that the Writing may be fulfilled.
Bere a me ne wɔn wɔ hɔ no, mede tumi a wode maa me no hwɛɛ wɔn so. Mebɔɔ wɔn ho ban, na wɔn mu biara anyera, gye onipa a ɛsɛ sɛ ɔyera no nko ara, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a Kyerɛwsɛm no bɛba mu.
13 'And now unto Thee I come, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves;
“Afei mereba wo nkyɛn. Maka saa nsɛm yi nyinaa bere a meda so wɔ wiase yi sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a mʼanigye bɛhyɛ wɔn ma.
14 I have given to them Thy word, and the world did hate them, because they are not of the world, as I am not of the world;
Mekaa wʼasɛm kyerɛɛ wɔn na wiasefo tan wɔn, efisɛ womfi wiase sɛnea me nso mimfi wiase no.
15 I do not ask that Thou mayest take them out of the world, but that Thou mayest keep them out of the evil.
Mimmisa wo sɛ yi wɔn fi wiase, na mmom mesrɛ sɛ bɔ wɔn ho ban fi ɔbonsam nsam.
16 'Of the world they are not, as I of the world am not;
Sɛnea mimfi wiase no, saa ara na wɔn nso mfi wiase.
17 sanctify them in Thy truth, Thy word is truth;
Fa wo nsɛm a ɛyɛ nokware no kyerɛkyerɛ wɔn na ɛntew wɔn ho mma ɛnyɛ wɔn kronkron.
18 as Thou didst send me to the world, I also did send them to the world;
Sɛnea wosomaa me baa wiase no, saa ara na me nso meresoma wɔn akɔ wiase.
19 and for them do I sanctify myself, that they also themselves may be sanctified in truth.
Wɔn nti mede me ho ma wo sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn nso de wɔn ho nyinaa bɛma wo.
20 'And not in regard to these alone do I ask, but also in regard to those who shall be believing, through their word, in me;
“Memmɔ mpae mma wɔn nko. Mebɔ mpae ma wɔn a wɔnam asuafo asɛm a wɔbɛka no so agye adi no nso.
21 that they all may be one, as Thou Father [art] in me, and I in Thee; that they also in us may be one, that the world may believe that Thou didst send me.
Mebɔ mpae sɛ wɔn nyinaa bɛyɛ baako. Agya, sɛnea wowɔ me mu na me nso mewɔ wo mu no, saa ara na ma wɔn nso ntena yɛn mu. Ma wɔn nyinaa nyɛ baako sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a, wiase begye adi sɛ wo na wosomaa me.
22 'And I, the glory that thou hast given to me, have given to them, that they may be one as we are one;
Mede anuonyam a wode hyɛɛ me a ɛmaa me ne wo yɛɛ baako no ahyɛ wɔn sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn nso wɔbɛyɛ baako sɛnea yɛn nso yɛyɛ baako no.
23 I in them, and Thou in me, that they may be perfected into one, and that the world may know that Thou didst send me, and didst love them as Thou didst love me.
Mewɔ wɔn mu na wo nso wowɔ me mu, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a wɔn nyinaa bɛyɛ baako na wiase ahu sɛ wo na wosomaa me na wodɔ wɔn sɛnea wodɔ me no.
24 'Father, those whom Thou hast given to me, I will that where I am they also may be with me, that they may behold my glory that Thou didst give to me, because Thou didst love me before the foundation of the world.
“Agya, mepɛ sɛ wɔn a wode wɔn maa me no bɛka me ho wɔ faako a mewɔ no, na wɔahu mʼanuonyam, anuonyam a wode maa me no, efisɛ wodɔ me ansa na wobɔɔ wiase.
25 'Righteous Father, also the world did not know Thee, and I knew Thee, and these have known that Thou didst send me,
“Agya Kronkron, wiase nnim wo nanso me de, minim wo; na asuafo yi nim sɛ wo na wosomaa me.
26 and I made known to them Thy name, and will make known, that the love with which Thou lovedst me in them may be, and I in them.'
Mama wɔahu sɛnea wo te, na mɛkɔ so ayɛ saa daa, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a ɔdɔ a wodɔ me no bɛtena wɔn nso mu na me nso matena wɔn mu bi.”
