< Joel 3 >
1 For lo, in those days, and in that time, When I turn back [to] the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
“Vakai, koeʻuhi ʻi he ngaahi ʻaho ko ia, pea ʻi he kuonga ko ia, ʻaia te u toe ʻomi ai ʻae pōpula ʻo Siuta mo Selūsalema,
2 Then I have gathered all the nations, And caused them to go down unto the valley of Jehoshaphat, And I have been judged with them there, Concerning My people and Mine inheritance — Israel, Whom they scattered among nations, And My land they have apportioned.
3 And for My people they do cast a lot, And they give the young man for an harlot, And the young woman have sold for wine, That they may drink.
Pea kuo nau talotalo ki hoku kakai: pea kuo nau foaki ha tamasiʻi ke maʻu ʻaki ha fefine feʻauaki, pea nau fakatau ʻae taʻahine maʻa e uaine, koeʻuhi ke nau inu.
4 And also, what [are] ye to Me, O Tyre and Zidon, And all circuits of Philistia? Recompence are ye rendering unto Me? And if ye are giving recompence to Me, Swiftly, hastily, I turn back your recompence on your head.
“ʻIo, pea ko e hā ʻamoutolu ke mo fai mo au, ʻe Taia mo Saitone, pea mo e matātahi kotoa pē ʻo Palesitaine? Te mou totongi kiate au? Pea kapau te mou totongi mai, ʻe mātuʻaki vave mo toʻotoʻo ʻeku toe ʻatu hoʻomou totongi ki homou tumuʻaki;
5 In that My silver and My gold ye took, And My desirable things that are good, Ye have brought in to your temples.
Koeʻuhi kuo mou ʻave ʻeku siliva mo ʻeku koula, pea kuo mou ʻave ki homou ngaahi fale fakaʻeiki ʻa ʻeku ngaahi meʻa matamatalelei mo ʻaonga:
6 And sons of Judah, and sons of Jerusalem, Ye have sold to the sons of Javan, To put them far off from their border.
Ko e fānau foki ʻa Siuta, pea mo e fānau ʻa Selūsalema kuo mou fakatau ki he kakai Kalisi, koeʻuhi ke mou fakahē mamaʻo ʻakinautolu mei honau mata fonua.
7 Lo, I am stirring them up out of the place Whither ye have sold them, And I have turned back your recompence on your head,
Vakai, te u hiki ʻakinautolu mei he potu ne mou fakatau ʻakinautolu ki ai, pea te u toe ʻatu hoʻomou totongi ki homou tumuʻaki:
8 And have sold your sons and your daughters Into the hand of the sons of Judah, And they have sold them to Shabeans, Unto a nation far off, for Jehovah hath spoken.
Pea te u fakatau homou ngaahi foha mo homou ngaahi ʻofefine ki he nima ʻoe fānau ʻa Siuta, pea te nau fakatau ʻakinautolu ki he kakai Sapea, ki ha kakai mamaʻo atu: he kuo pehē ʻe Sihova.”
9 Proclaim ye this among nations, Sanctify a war, stir up the mighty ones, Come nigh, come up, let all the men of war.
“Fanongonongo eni ki he ngaahi Senitaile, “Teuteu ʻae tau, fakaʻā ʻae kau tangata mālohi, tuku ke unu mai ʻae kau tangata tau kotoa pē; ke nau ʻalu hake:
10 Beat your ploughshares to swords, And your pruning-hooks to javelins, Let the weak say, 'I [am] mighty.'
Tuki ʻaki hoʻomou huo toho ʻae ngaahi heletā, pea mo hoʻomou ngaahi hele ʻauhani ʻae ngaahi tao: ke pehē ʻe he vaivai, ‘ʻoku ou mālohi;’
11 Haste, and come in, all ye nations round, And be gathered together, Thither cause to come down, O Jehovah, Thy mighty ones.
Fakataha ʻakimoutolu, pea haʻu ʻakimoutolu ko e kau hiteni, pea tānaki takatakai ʻakimoutolu:” ʻE Sihova, ke hifo ʻi hena hoʻo kau mālohi:
12 Wake and come up let the nations unto the valley of Jehoshaphat, For there I sit to judge all the nations around.
“Ke ʻā ʻae hiteni, pea ʻalu hake ki he teleʻa ʻo Sihosafate: he te u nofo ʻi ai ke fakamaauʻi ʻae hiteni ʻoku nofo takatakai.
13 Send ye forth a sickle, For ripened hath harvest, Come in, come down, for filled hath been the press, Overflowed hath wine-presses, For great [is] their wickedness.
ʻAi ʻae hele tuʻusi, he kuo motuʻa ʻae taʻu: haʻu, pea ʻalu hifo; he kuo pito ʻae tataʻoʻanga, ʻoku mahuohua ʻae ngaahi puha fakatali; koeʻuhi ʻoku lahi ʻenau angahala.”
14 Multitudes, multitudes [are] in the valley of decision, For near [is] the day of Jehovah in the valley of decision.
Ko e fuʻu tokolahi, ko e fuʻu tokolahi ʻi he teleʻa ʻoe fakamaau: he ʻoku ofi ʻae ʻaho ʻo Sihova ʻi he teleʻa ʻoe fakamaau.
15 Sun and moon have been black, And stars have gathered up their shining.
ʻE fakapoʻuli ʻae laʻā mo e māhina, pea ʻe ʻikai ulo ʻae ngaahi fetuʻu.
16 And Jehovah from Zion doth roar, And from Jerusalem giveth forth His voice, And shaken have the heavens and earth, And Jehovah [is] a refuge to his people, And a stronghold to sons of Israel.
ʻE ʻuʻulu ʻa Sihova mei Saione, pea ʻe fakaongo hono leʻo mei Selūsalema; pea ʻe lulululu ʻae langi mo māmani: ka ko Sihova ko e ʻamanaki leleiʻanga ia ʻo hono kakai, pea ko e mālohiʻanga ʻoe fānau ʻa ʻIsileli.
17 And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah your God, Dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain, And Jerusalem hath been holy, And strangers do not pass over into it again.
“Pea te mou ʻilo ai ko au ko Sihova, ko homou ʻOtua ʻoku ʻafio ʻi Saione, ko hoku moʻunga tapu: pea ʻe toki māʻoniʻoni ʻa Selūsalema, pea ʻe ʻikai toe ʻalu ʻiate ia ha muli.
18 And it hath come to pass, in that day, Drop down do the mountains juice, And the hills do flow [with] milk, And all streams of Judah do go [with] water, And a fountain from the house of Jehovah goeth forth, And hath watered the valley of Shittim.
“Pea ʻe pehē ʻi he ʻaho ko ia, ko e ngaahi moʻunga te nau toʻiʻi ʻae uaine foʻou, pea ʻe tafe ʻae huhuʻa ʻi he ngaahi tafungofunga, pea ko e ngaahi vaitafe kotoa pē ʻo Siuta ʻe tafe ai ʻae vai, pea ko e matavai ʻe pa mai mei he fale ʻo Sihova, pea fakavai ʻae teleʻa ʻo Sitimi.
19 Egypt a desolation becometh, And Edom a desolation, a wilderness, becometh, For violence [to] sons of Judah, Whose innocent blood they shed in their land.
ʻE lala ʻa ʻIsipite, pea ʻe hoko ʻa ʻItomi ko e toafa kuo lala, koeʻuhi ko e fakamālohi ki he fānau ʻa Siuta, he kuo nau lilingi ʻae toto taʻehalaia ʻi honau fonua.
20 And Judah to the age doth dwell, And Jerusalem to generation and generation.
Ka ʻe nofo ʻa Siuta ʻo taʻengata, pea mo Selūsalema mei he toʻutangata ki he toʻutangata.
21 And I have declared their blood innocent, [That] I did not declare innocent, And Jehovah is dwelling in Zion!
Koeʻuhi te u fakamaʻa ʻae toto ʻi ai ʻoku teʻeki ai te u fakamaʻa: he ʻoku ʻafio ʻa Sihova ʻi Saione.”
