< Job 36 >
1 And Elihu addeth and saith: —
Elihu ni hettelah bout a dei,
2 Honour me a little, and I shew thee, That yet for God [are] words.

3 I lift up my knowledge from afar, And to my Maker I ascribe righteousness.
Ka panuenae hah ahlanae koe e ka la han rah, lannae hah kasakkung koe kamnue sak han.
4 For, truly, my words [are] not false, The perfect in knowledge [is] with thee.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, ka lawknaw heh ayawmyin lah khoeroe ao hoeh dawkvah, panuenae kuep katawnkung teh nang koe ao.
5 Lo, God [is] mighty, and despiseth not, Mighty [in] power [and] heart.
Khenhaw! Cathut teh a thasai eiteh, apihai dudam hoeh. Ama teh athao teh thonae thaipanueknae hoi a kawi
6 He reviveth not the wicked, And the judgment of the poor appointeth;
Tamikathoutnaw hah pâhlung hoeh. Hateiteh, hnephnap e naw hah lannae a poe.
7 He withdraweth not from the righteous His eyes, And [from] kings on the throne, And causeth them to sit for ever, and they are high,
Tamikalan teh khen laipalah awm hoeh, hateiteh, siangpahrang hah bawitungkhung dawk yungyoe hanelah a tahung sak teh, ahnimouh teh tawmrasang e lah ao awh.
8 And if prisoners in fetters They are captured with cords of affliction,
Puenghoi kacaklah katek e lah o awh teh, rucat khangnae rui hoi katek e lah awm boipawiteh,
9 Then He declareth to them their work, And their transgressions, Because they have become mighty,
Kâtapoenae hoi a sak e hah lungpata lahoi sakyoenae hoi a kamnue sak.
10 And He uncovereth their ear for instruction, And saith that they turn back from iniquity.
Cangkhainae koelah hna a ang sak teh, yonnae dawk hoi bout a ban nahane kâ a poe.
11 If they do hear and serve, They complete their days in good, And their years in pleasantness.
Lawkngai laihoi amae thaw tawk awh pawiteh, hnopai tawnta e dawk nawm awh vaiteh, hnin, thapa, kum naw hah lunghawinae hoi a loum sak han.
12 And if they do not hearken, By the dart they pass away, And expire without knowledge.
Hateiteh, lawkngai awh hoeh pawiteh, tahloi hoi kahmat ka ta awh vaiteh, panuenae tawn laipalah due awh han.
13 And the profane in heart set the face, They cry not when He hath bound them.
Hateiteh, tamikathout e lungthin ni lungkhueknae a pâtung teh, ama ni a katek torei teh, kabawpnae hei hanelah hram awh hoeh.
14 Their soul dieth in youth, And their life among the defiled.
A nawca nah a due awh teh, a hringnae hah tami kahawihoehnaw hoi rei a pout.
15 He draweth out the afflicted in his affliction, And uncovereth in oppression their ear.

16 And also He moved thee from a strait place, [To] a broad place — no straitness under it, And the sitting beyond of thy table Hath been full of fatness.

17 And the judgment of the wicked thou hast fulfilled, Judgment and justice are upheld — because of fury,
Hateiteh, tamikathoutnaw ni hmu han kamcu e lawkcengnae hoi, na kâvan teh, lawkcengnae hoi lannae ni na kuet.
18 Lest He move thee with a stroke, And the abundance of an atonement turn thee not aside.
Lungkhueknae ao dawkvah, kâhruetcuet. Nahoeh pawiteh, vai touh hemnae dawk ama ni na cetkhai payon vaih. Bangkongtetpawiteh, ratangnae kalen poung ni na hlout nahane na kabawm mahoeh.
19 Doth He value thy riches? He hath gold, and all the forces of power.
Na tawntanae hoi na thaonae, na bahu onae pueng ni, na kângairunae dawk hoi na hlout sak han na maw.
20 Desire not the night, For the going up of peoples in their stead.
Karum hah kâuepkhai hanh. Taminaw karum dawk kahmanae tueng lah ao.
21 Take heed — do not turn unto iniquity, For on this thou hast fixed Rather than [on] affliction.
Yonnae dawkvah kamlang hoeh nahanlah kâhruetcuet, bangkongtetpawiteh, reithai khangnae hlak hai na kârawi e lah ao.
22 Lo, God doth sit on high by His power, Who [is] like Him — a teacher?
Khenhaw! Cathut teh hnotithainae dawk hoi tawmrasang e lah ao. Apinimaw ama patetlah a cangkhai boi.
23 Who hath appointed unto Him his way? And who said, 'Thou hast done iniquity?'
Apinimaw a lamthung hah a poukkhai boi. Apinimaw na sak e hah na payon telah atipouh boi.
24 Remember that thou magnify His work That men have beheld.
A tawk e thaw hah len sak hanelah pahnim hanh, tami ni la lah a sak awh e hah.
25 All men have looked on it, Man looketh attentively from afar.
Tami pueng ni a hmu awh teh, tami ni ahlanae koehoi a radoung awh.
26 Lo, God [is] high, And we know not the number of His years, Yea, there [is] no searching.
Khenhaw! Cathut teh a lentoe poung, maimouh ni panuek thai awh hoeh. Kumnaw hai panue thai lah awm hoeh.
27 When He doth diminish droppings of the waters, They refine rain according to its vapour,
Bangkongtetpawiteh, tui ka ca e naw hah, a lathueng lah a sawn teh, tuikahu kaawm e patetlah kho a rak sak.
28 Which clouds do drop, They distil on man abundantly.
Hote tâmai dawk hoi a rak sak teh, tami e lathueng vah, kho a nan sak.
29 Yea, doth [any] understand The spreadings out of a cloud? The noises of His tabernacle?
Tâmai ka tabawk e hoi ama ni a lathueng vah a ramuk e khoparitnaw hah, apinimaw a panue thai han.
30 Lo, He hath spread over it His light, And the roots of the sea He hath covered,
Khenhaw! a lathueng vah a angnae pheng a tue sak teh, kadung poung e tuipuinaw hah pheng a ramuk.
31 For by them He doth judge peoples, He giveth food in abundance.
Bangkongtetpawiteh, hete hnonaw lahoi, tami hah lawk a ceng teh, rawca koung kakhoutlah a poe.
32 By two palms He hath covered the light, And layeth a charge over it in meeting,
Na kut hah sumpapalik hoi a ramuk teh, ka hanelah kâ a poe.
33 He sheweth by it [to] his friend substance, Anger against perversity.
