Job 35

1 And Elihu answereth and saith: —

೧ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಎಲೀಹು ಮತ್ತೆ ಇಂತೆಂದನು,

2 This hast thou reckoned for judgment: Thou hast said — 'My righteousness [is] more than God's?'

೨“ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನನಗೇನು ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಯಿತು? ಪಾಪಮಾಡದೆ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ನನಗಾದ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಲಾಭವೇನು?

3 For thou sayest, 'What doth it profit Thee! What do I profit from my sin?'

೩ಈ ರೀತಿ ನೀನು ನುಡಿಯುವುದು ನ್ಯಾಯವೆಂದು ನೀನು ಊಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯು ದೇವರ ನೀತಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚೆಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿಯಾ?

4 I return thee words, and thy friends with thee,

೪ನಾನು ನಿನಗೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಗಾರರಿಗೂ ಕೂಡ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವೆನು.

5 Behold attentively the heavens — and see, And behold the clouds, They have been higher than thou.

೫ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ಗಗನಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ನೋಡು, ಮೇಘಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸು, ಅವು ನಿನಗಿಂತ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಎತ್ತರವಾಗಿವೆ!

6 If thou hast sinned, what dost thou against Him? And thy transgressions have been multiplied, What dost thou to Him?

೬ನೀನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಿದಂತಾಯಿತು? ನಿನ್ನ ದ್ರೋಹಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆತನಿಗೇನು?

7 If thou hast been righteous, What dost thou give to Him? Or what from thy hand doth He receive?

೭ನೀನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಆತನಿಗೇನು ಕೊಟ್ಟಂತಾಯಿತು? ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಲಾಭವೇನು?

8 For a man like thyself [is] thy wickedness, And for a son of man thy righteousness.

೮ನಿನ್ನ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನಂಥ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೇ ನಷ್ಟವಾದೀತು, ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯಿಂದ ನರಜನ್ಮದವನಿಗೇನು ಲಾಭ ಸಿಕ್ಕಬಹುದು.

9 Because of the multitude of oppressions They cause to cry out, They cry because of the arm of the mighty.

೯ಅಪಾರವಾದ ಹಿಂಸೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟವರು ಮೊರೆಯಿಡುತ್ತಾ, ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ಭುಜಬಲದಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತರಾಗಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.

10 And none said, 'Where [is] God my maker? Giving songs in the night,

೧೦‘ನನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿ? ಆತನು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ ಎಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಹೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

11 Teaching us more than the beasts of the earth, Yea, than the fowl of the heavens He maketh us wiser.'

೧೧ಆತನು ಕಾಡು ಮೃಗಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ನಮಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ನಮಗೆ ಕಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ’ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

12 There they cry, and He doth not answer, Because of the pride of evil doers.

೧೨ಇಂಥಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸೊಕ್ಕಿನಿಂದ ನೊಂದು ಗೋಳಾಡುವರು, ಆದರೂ ಆತನು ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

13 Surely vanity God doth not hear, And the Mighty doth not behold it.

೧೩ದೇವರು ಮೂರ್ಖನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಸರ್ವಶಕ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

14 Yea, though thou sayest thou dost not behold Him, Judgment [is] before Him, and stay for Him.

೧೪ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಆತನು ಕಾಣುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವು ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಇದೆ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಆತನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆಯೇ?

15 And, now, because there is not, He hath appointed His anger, And He hath not known in great extremity.

೧೫ಆತನು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸದೆ ಇರುವ ಕಾರಣ ಆಹಾ, ಆತನು ದ್ರೋಹವನ್ನು ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು,

16 And Job [with] vanity doth open his mouth, Without knowledge words he multiplieth.

೧೬ಯೋಬನು ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಯಾವ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಹಳ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.”
