< Job 27 >
1 And Job addeth to lift up his simile, and saith: —
Ayub nochako wuoyo kendo mowacho niya,
2 God liveth! He turned aside my judgment, And the Mighty — He made my soul bitter.
“Akwongʼora gi nying Jehova Nyasaye Maratego mosetamore ngʼadona bura makare, kendo mosemiyo chunya obedo malit,
3 For all the while my breath [is] in me, And the spirit of God in my nostrils.
bende asingora ni kapod angima kendo kapod Nyasaye omiya muya ma ayweyo,
4 My lips do not speak perverseness, And my tongue doth not utter deceit.
to dhoga ok nowach gimoro marach, kendo lewa ok nowach miriambo.
5 Pollution to me — if I justify you, Till I expire I turn not aside mine integrity from me.
Ok abi yie ngangʼ ni un kare; ok anasiki mana ka awacho ni aonge ketho nyaka atho.
6 On my righteousness I have laid hold, And I do not let it go, My heart doth not reproach me while I live.
Abiro siko mana ka awacho ni an kare ndalona duto; kendo pacha ler e wachni e ndalo duto.
7 As the wicked is my enemy, And my withstander as the perverse.
“Mad wasika duto mapiem koda, yud kum mana ka joricho!
8 For what [is] the hope of the profane, When He doth cut off? When God doth cast off his soul?
Koso geno mane ma ngʼama ok ongʼeyo Nyasaye dibedgo ka ongʼad ndalone, kendo ka Nyasaye okawo ngimane?
9 His cry doth God hear, When distress cometh on him?
Bende Nyasaye chiko ite ne ywakne ka masira obirone?
10 On the Mighty doth he delight himself? Call God at all times?
Bende onyalo bedo gi mor kuom Jehova Nyasaye Maratego? Bende doywagne Nyasaye seche duto?
11 I shew you by the hand of God, That which [is] with the Mighty I hide not.
“Abiro puonji kaka teko Nyasaye chalo; ok abi pandoni yore mag Jehova Nyasaye Maratego.
12 Lo, ye — all of you — have seen, And why [is] this — ye are altogether vain?
Un duto ngʼato ka ngʼato useneno ma gi wangʼu koro weche manonogi to uwacho nangʼo?
13 This [is] the portion of wicked man with God, And the inheritance of terrible ones From the Mighty they receive.
“Chandruok ma Nyasaye ochano ne ngʼama timo timbe mahundu, kendo girkeni mar ngʼama timo timbe marichogo yudo koa kuom Jehova Nyasaye Maratego ema:
14 If his sons multiply — for them [is] a sword. And his offspring [are] not satisfied [with] bread.
Kata ne bed ni nyithinde ngʼeny manade, to ligangla ema ochomogi; kendo nyithinde ok noyud chiemo moromogi nyaka chiengʼ.
15 His remnant in death are buried, And his widows do not weep.
Tuo noneg joma otony e lweny, kendo mon ma chwogi otho ma giweyo ok noywag-gi.
16 If he heap up as dust silver, And as clay prepare clothing,
Kata jaricho chok fedha mangʼeny manade, kod lewni bende mangʼeny,
17 He prepareth — and the righteous putteth [it] on, And the silver the innocent doth apportion.
to gik mochokogo joma kare ema biro rwako, kendo joma onge ketho nopogre mwanduge mag fedha.
18 He hath built as a moth his house, And as a booth a watchman hath made.
Ot mogero yomyom ka mbuyi mar otiengʼ, kata ka abila ma jarito ogero.
19 Rich he lieth down, and he is not gathered, His eyes he hath opened, and he is not.
Onindo ka en gi mwandu, to ochiewo gi lwete nono; ka wangʼe yawore nii to mwandune duto oserumo.
20 Overtake him as waters do terrors, By night stolen him away hath a whirlwind.
Masiche nomakgi ka ohula motuch apoya; kendo yamb otieno nokegi mabor.
21 Take him up doth an east wind, and he goeth, And it frighteneth him from his place,
Yamb ugwe tingʼe midhi kode, mi olal nono; oywere mi ogole kare.
22 And it casteth at him, and doth not spare, From its hand he diligently fleeth.
Enogo kuomgi koko matek ma ok oweyonigi thuolo, kolawogi matek gi tekone maduongʼ.
23 It clappeth at him its hands, And it hisseth at him from his place.
Yamo nokudh kuomgi ka giringo kendo tekone malich nomi kihondko makgi.”
