Job 25

1 And Bildad the Shuhite answereth and saith: —

そこでシュヒびとビルダデは答えて言った、

2 The rule and fear [are] with Him, Making peace in His high places.

「大権と恐れとは神と共にある。彼は高き所で平和を施される。

3 Is their [any] number to His troops? And on whom ariseth not His light?

その軍勢は数えることができるか。何物かその光に浴さないものがあるか。

4 And what? is man righteous with God? And what? is he pure — born of a woman?

それで人はどうして神の前に正しくありえようか。女から生れた者がどうして清くありえようか。

5 Lo — unto the moon, and it shineth not, And stars have not been pure in His eyes.

見よ、月さえも輝かず、星も彼の目には清くない。

6 How much less man — a grub, And the son of man — a worm!

うじのような人、虫のような人の子はなおさらである」。
