Job 24
1 Wherefore from the Mighty One Times have not been hidden, And those knowing Him have not seen His days.
੧“ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦੇ?
2 The borders they reach, A drove they have taken violently away, Yea, they do evil.
੨ਲੋਕ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਕਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਇੱਜੜ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
3 The ass of the fatherless they lead away, They take in pledge the ox of the widow,
੩ਉਹ ਯਤੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਧਾ ਹੱਕ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਦਾ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਰੱਖ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
4 They turn aside the needy from the way, Together have hid the poor of the earth.
੪ਉਹ ਕੰਗਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਲੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
5 Lo, wild asses in a wilderness, They have gone out about their work, Seeking early for prey, A mixture for himself — food for young ones.
੫ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਭੋਜਣ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭਾਲਣ ਲਈ ਨਿੱਕਲਦੇ ਹਨ। ਮੈਦਾਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਰੋਟੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
6 In a field his provender they reap, And the vineyard of the wicked they glean.
੬ਉਹ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਰਾ ਵੱਢਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦੇ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦ-ਖੁਹੰਦ ਚੁਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
7 The naked they cause to lodge Without clothing. And there is no covering in the cold.
੭ਉਹ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਦੇ ਨੰਗੇ ਹੀ ਰਾਤ ਕੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਠੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈਣ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ।
8 From the inundation of hills they are wet, And without a refuge — have embraced a rock.
੮ਉਹ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਖਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਿੱਜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਓਟ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੰਬੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
9 They take violently away From the breast the orphan, And on the poor they lay a pledge.
੯ਉਹ ਯਤੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਛਾਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਦਾ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਗਹਿਣੇ ਰੱਖ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ,
10 Naked, they have gone without clothing, And hungry — have taken away a sheaf.
੧੦ਸੋ ਉਹ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਸਤਰ ਨੰਗੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਭੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਚੁੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
11 Between their walls they make oil, Wine-presses they have trodden, and thirst.
੧੧ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੇਲ ਕੱਢਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੌਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਪੀੜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਆਪ ਪਿਆਸੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
12 Because of enmity men do groan, And the soul of pierced ones doth cry, And God doth not give praise.
੧੨ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕ ਹਾਉਂਕੇ ਭਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਫੱਟੜਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ!
13 They have been among rebellious ones of light, They have not discerned His ways, Nor abode in His paths.
੧੩“ਇਹ ਉਹ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਚਾਨਣ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ, ਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
14 At the light doth the murderer rise, He doth slay the poor and needy, And in the night he is as a thief.
੧੪ਖ਼ੂਨੀ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਉੱਠਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਤੇ ਕੰਗਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਚੋਰ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
15 And the eye of an adulterer Hath observed the twilight, Saying, 'No eye doth behold me.' And he putteth the face in secret.
੧੫ਵਿਭਚਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਅੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖੇਗਾ! ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੜਦਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
16 He hath dug in the darkness — houses; By day they shut themselves up, They have not known light.
੧੬ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਨ੍ਹ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਦਿਨੇ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਲੁਕਾ ਛੱਡਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਚਾਨਣ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ,
17 When together, morning [is] to them death shade, When he discerneth the terrors of death shade.
੧੭ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸਵੇਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਯੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਯੇ ਦੇ ਭੈਅ ਨਾਲ ਮਿੱਤਰਤਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।
18 Light he [is] on the face of the waters, Vilified is their portion in the earth, He turneth not the way of vineyards.
੧੮“ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਰੁੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰਸਾ ਸਰਾਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੁੜਦੇ।
੧੯ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਮੀ ਬਰਫ਼ਾਨੀ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਪਤਾਲ ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। (Sheol h7585)
20 Forget him doth the womb, Sweeten [on] him doth the worm, No more is he remembered, And broken as a tree is wickedness.
੨੦ਕੁੱਖ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਕੀੜਾ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਦ ਨਾਲ ਖਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਫੇਰ ਯਾਦ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਦੀ ਰੁੱਖ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਤੋੜੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
21 Treating evil the barren [who] beareth not, And [to] the widow he doth no good,
੨੧ਉਹ ਬਾਂਝ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਜਣਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੁੱਟ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਕੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
22 And hath drawn the mighty by his power, He riseth, and none believeth in life.
੨੨ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਤਕੜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੱਚ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਸਥਿਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ।
23 He giveth to him confidence, and he is supported, And his eyes [are] on their ways.
੨੩ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਾਂਭੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
24 High they were [for] a little, and they are not, And they have been brought low. As all [others] they are shut up, And as the head of an ear of corn cut off.
੨੪ਉਹ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਚਿਰ ਲਈ ਉੱਚੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਨਿਵਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਸਮੇਟੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਅੰਨ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਟਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਵੱਢੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ!
25 And if not now, who doth prove me a liar, And doth make of nothing my word?
੨੫“ਜੇ ਇਹ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕੌਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਝੂਠਾ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਰਥ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇਗਾ?”
