Job 24
1 Wherefore from the Mighty One Times have not been hidden, And those knowing Him have not seen His days.
૧સર્વશક્તિમાન ઈશ્વરે સમયો કેમ નિશ્ચિત કર્યા નથી? જેઓ તેમને જાણે છે તેઓ તેમના દિવસો કેમ જોતા નથી?
2 The borders they reach, A drove they have taken violently away, Yea, they do evil.
૨ખેતરની હદને ખસેડનાર લોક તો છે; તેઓ જુલમથી ટોળાંને ચોરી જઈને તેમને ચરાવે છે.
3 The ass of the fatherless they lead away, They take in pledge the ox of the widow,
૩તેઓ અનાથોના ગધેડાઓને ચોરી જાય છે; અને વિધવાના બળદોને ગીરે મૂકવા માટે લઈ લે છે.
4 They turn aside the needy from the way, Together have hid the poor of the earth.
૪તેઓ દરિદ્રીઓને માર્ગમાંથી કાઢી મૂકે છે. અને બધા ગરીબ લોક ભેગા થઈને છુપાઈ જાય છે.
5 Lo, wild asses in a wilderness, They have gone out about their work, Seeking early for prey, A mixture for himself — food for young ones.
૫જુઓ, અરણ્યનાં જંગલી ગધેડાની જેમ, તેઓ પોતાને કામે જાય છે અને ખંતથી ખોરાકની શોધ કરે છે; અરણ્ય તેઓના સંતાનો માટે ખોરાક આપે છે.
6 In a field his provender they reap, And the vineyard of the wicked they glean.
૬ગરીબ બીજાના ખેતરમાં મોડી રાત સુધી ખોરાક શોધે છે; અને દુષ્ટની દ્રાક્ષોનો સળો વીણે છે.
7 The naked they cause to lodge Without clothing. And there is no covering in the cold.
૭તેઓ આખીરાત વસ્ત્ર વિના ઉઘાડા સૂઈ રહે છે, અને ઠંડીમાં ઓઢવાને તેમની પાસે કશું નથી.
8 From the inundation of hills they are wet, And without a refuge — have embraced a rock.
૮પર્વતો પર પડતાં ઝાપટાંથી તેઓ પલળે છે, અને ઓથ ન હોવાથી તેઓ ખડકને બાથ ભીડે છે.
9 They take violently away From the breast the orphan, And on the poor they lay a pledge.
૯અનાથ બાળકોને માતાના ખોળામાંથી ઉપાડી લેવામાં આવે છે. તથા ગરીબોના અંગ પરનાં વસ્ત્ર ગીરે લેનારા પણ છે.
10 Naked, they have gone without clothing, And hungry — have taken away a sheaf.
૧૦તેઓને વસ્ત્ર વિના ફરવું પડે છે; તેઓ જથ્થાબંધ અનાજ દુષ્ટ લોકો માટે ઊંચકે છે, છતાં પણ તેઓ ભૂખ્યા રહે છે.
11 Between their walls they make oil, Wine-presses they have trodden, and thirst.
૧૧તેઓ આ માણસોના ઘરોમાં તેલ પીલે છે, અને દ્રાક્ષકુંડોમાં દ્રાક્ષ પીલે છે અને તરસ્યા જ રહે છે.
12 Because of enmity men do groan, And the soul of pierced ones doth cry, And God doth not give praise.
૧૨ઘણી વસ્તીવાળા નગરોમાંથી માણસો શોક કરે છે; ઘાયલોના આત્મા બૂમ પાડે છે, તે છતાં ઈશ્વર તેઓના પ્રાર્થના સાંભળતા નથી.
13 They have been among rebellious ones of light, They have not discerned His ways, Nor abode in His paths.
૧૩તેવો અજવાળા વિરુદ્ધ બળવો કરે છે; તેઓ તેનો માર્ગ જાણતા નથી અને તેમના માર્ગમાં ટકી રહેતા નથી.
14 At the light doth the murderer rise, He doth slay the poor and needy, And in the night he is as a thief.
૧૪ખૂની માણસ અજવાળું થતાં જાગીને ગરીબો અને દરિદ્રીને મારી નાખે છે. અને રાત પડે ત્યારે તે ચોર જેવો હોય છે.
15 And the eye of an adulterer Hath observed the twilight, Saying, 'No eye doth behold me.' And he putteth the face in secret.
૧૫જે વ્યક્તિ વ્યભિચાર કરે છે, તે સાંજ થવાની રાહ જુએ છે; તે એમ કહે છે કે, ‘કોઈ મને જોશે નહિ.’ તે તેનું મોં ઢાંકે છે.
16 He hath dug in the darkness — houses; By day they shut themselves up, They have not known light.
૧૬રાત પડે ત્યારે ચોરો ઘરોમાં ચોરી કરે છે; પણ દિવસમાં તેઓ પોતાના ઘરમાં બારણાં બંધ કરીને પુરાઈ રહે છે; તેઓ અજવાળું જોવા માંગતા નથી.
17 When together, morning [is] to them death shade, When he discerneth the terrors of death shade.
૧૭કેમ કે સવાર તો તેઓને અંધકાર સમાન લાગે છે; કેમ કે તેઓ અંધકારનો ત્રાસ જાણે છે.
18 Light he [is] on the face of the waters, Vilified is their portion in the earth, He turneth not the way of vineyards.
૧૮દુષ્ટ માણસને પૂરનાં પાણી તાણી જાય છે; પૃથ્વી ઉપર તેઓનું વતન શાપિત થયેલું છે. તે દ્રાક્ષવાડીમાં ફરી જવા પામતો નથી.
૧૯અનાવૃષ્ટિ તથા ગરમી બરફના પાણીને શોષી લે છે; તેમ શેઓલ પાપીઓને શોષી લે છે. (Sheol h7585)
20 Forget him doth the womb, Sweeten [on] him doth the worm, No more is he remembered, And broken as a tree is wickedness.
૨૦જે ગર્ભે તેને રાખ્યો તે તેને ભૂલી જશે; કીડો મજાથી તેનું ભક્ષણ કરશે, તેને કોઈ યાદ નહિ કરે, આ રીતે, અનીતિને સડેલા વૃક્ષની જેમ ભાંગી નાખવામાં આવશે.
21 Treating evil the barren [who] beareth not, And [to] the widow he doth no good,
૨૧નિ: સંતાન સ્ત્રીઓને તે સતાવે છે. તે વિધવાઓને સહાય કરતો નથી.
22 And hath drawn the mighty by his power, He riseth, and none believeth in life.
૨૨તે પોતાના બળથી શક્તિશાળી માણસોને પણ નમાવે છે; તેઓને જિંદગીનો ભરોસો હોતો નથી ત્યારે પણ તેઓ પાછા ઊઠે છે.
23 He giveth to him confidence, and he is supported, And his eyes [are] on their ways.
૨૩હા, ઈશ્વર તેઓને નિર્ભય સ્થિતિ આપે છે. અને તે પર તેઓ આધાર રાખે છે; તેમની નજર તેઓના માર્ગો ઉપર છે.
24 High they were [for] a little, and they are not, And they have been brought low. As all [others] they are shut up, And as the head of an ear of corn cut off.
૨૪થોડા સમય માટે દુષ્ટ માણસ ઉચ્ચ સ્થાને ચઢે છે પણ થોડી મુદત પછી તે નષ્ટ થાય છે; હા, તેઓને અધમ સ્તિથિમાં લાવવામાં આવે છે; બીજા બધાની જેમ તે મરી જાય છે; અનાજના કણસલાંની જેમ તે કપાઈ જાય છે.
25 And if not now, who doth prove me a liar, And doth make of nothing my word?
૨૫જો એવું ના હોય તો મને જૂઠો પાડનાર; તથા મારી વાતને વ્યર્થ ગણનાર કોણ છે?”
