Job 12
1 And Job answereth and saith: —
तब अय्यूबले जवाफ दिए र भने,
2 Truly — ye [are] the people, And with you doth wisdom die.
“निस्सन्देह तपाईंहरू मानिस हुनुहुन्छ । बुद्धि तपाईंहरूसितै मर्नेछ ।
3 I also have a heart like you, I am not fallen more than you, And with whom is there not like these?
तर तपाईंहरूसित भएझैं मसित पनि समझशक्ति छ । म तपाईंहरूभन्दा कम छैनँ । वास्तवमा यस्ता कुराहरू कसले जान्दैन र?
4 A laughter to his friend I am: 'He calleth to God, and He answereth him,' A laughter [is] the perfect righteous one.
म आफ्नो छिमेकीको हाँस्ने कुरा भएको छु, मैले परमेश्वरमा पुकारा गरें अनि उहाँले मलाई जवाफ दिनुभयो । म न्यायी र दोषरहित मानिस— अहिले म हाँस्ने कुरा भएको छु ।
5 A torch — despised in the thoughts of the secure Is prepared for those sliding with the feet.
चैनमा बस्नेको विचारले दुर्भाग्यलाई घृणा गरिन्छ । चिप्लेकाहरूलाई अझै बढी दुर्भाग्य ल्याउने गरी उसले विचार गर्छ ।
6 At peace are the tents of spoilers, And those provoking God have confidence, He into whose hand God hath brought.
डाँकुहरूका पालको उन्नति हुन्छ, र परमेश्वरलाई रिस उठाउनेहरूले सुरक्षित महसुस गर्छन् । तिनीहरूका आफ्नै हात तिनीहरूका ईश्वर हुन् ।
7 And yet, ask, I pray thee, [One of] the beasts, and it doth shew thee, And a fowl of the heavens, And it doth declare to thee.
तर अब जङ्गली पशुहरूलाई सोध्नुहोस्, र तिनीहरूले तपाईंलाई भन्नेछन् । आकाशका चराहरूलाई सोध्नुहोस्, र तिनीहरूले तपाईंलाई बताउनेछन् ।
8 Or talk to the earth, and it sheweth thee, And fishes of the sea recount to thee:
वा पृथ्वीसित बोल्नुहोस्, र त्यसले तपाईंलाई सिकाउनेछ । समुद्रका माछाहरूले तपाईंलाई घोषणा गर्नेछन् ।
9 'Who hath not known in all these, That the hand of Jehovah hath done this?
परमप्रभुको हातले नै यसो गरेको हो भनेर, यी सबैमध्ये कुनचाहिं प्राणीले जान्दैन र?
10 In whose hand [is] the breath of every living thing, And the spirit of all flesh of man.'
उहाँकै हातमा हरेक जीवित प्राणीको जीवन, अनि सारा मानव-जातिको सास छ ।
11 Doth not the ear try words? And the palate taste food for itself?
जिब्रोले खानाको स्वाद लिएझैं, के कानले वचनको जाँच गर्दैन र?
12 With the very aged [is] wisdom, And [with] length of days understanding.
पाका मानिसहरूसित बुद्धि हुन्छ । लामो आयुमा समझशक्ति हुन्छ ।
13 With Him [are] wisdom and might, To him [are] counsel and understanding.
परमेश्वरसित बुद्धि र शक्ति छन् । उहाँसित सल्लाह र समझशक्ति छन् ।
14 Lo, He breaketh down, and it is not built up, He shutteth against a man, And it is not opened.
हेर्नुहोस्, उहाँले तोड्नुहुन्छ, त्यसलाई फेरि निर्माण गर्न सकिँदैन । उहाँले कसैलाई कैद गर्नुहुन्छ भने, त्यहाँ छुटकारा हुँदैन ।
15 Lo, He keepeth in the waters, and they are dried up, And he sendeth them forth, And they overturn the land.
हेर्नुहोस्, उहाँले पानीलाई रोक्नुभयो भने, ती सुक्छन् । अनि उहाँले त्यसलाई पठाउनुहुन्छ भने, तिनले जमिनलाई डुबाउँछ ।
16 With Him [are] strength and wisdom, His the deceived and deceiver.
उहाँसित ताकत र बुद्धि छन् । धोका दिने र धोका खानेहरू दुवै मानिसहरू उहाँको शक्तिमा हुन्छन् ।
17 Causing counsellors to go away a spoil, And judges He maketh foolish.
उहाँले सल्लाहकारहरूलाई शोकमा पारेर नाङ्गै खुट्टा हिंडाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले न्यायाधीशहरूलाई मूर्ख बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
18 The bands of kings He hath opened, And He bindeth a girdle on their loins.
उहाँले राजाहरूको उच्च अधिकार खोस्नुहुन्छ । उहाँले तिनीहरूको कम्मरमा पटुका बेर्नुहुन्छ ।
19 Causing ministers to go away a spoil And strong ones He overthroweth.
उहाँले पुजारीहरूलाई शोकमा नाङ्गै खुट्टा हिंडाउनुहुन्छ, र शक्तिशाली मानिसहरूलाई फाल्नुहुन्छ ।
20 Turning aside the lip of the stedfast, And the reason of the aged He taketh away.
उहाँले भरोसायोग्य बोलीलाई हटाउनुहुन्छ, र समझशक्तिलाई धर्म-गुरुहरूबाट टाढा पुर्याउनुहुन्छ ।
21 Pouring contempt upon princes, And the girdle of the mighty He made feeble.
उहाँले राजकुमारहरूमाथि निन्दा खन्याउनुहुन्छ, र बलिया मानिसहरूको पेटी फुकाल्नुहुन्छ ।
22 Removing deep things out of darkness, And He bringeth out to light death-shade.
उहाँले अन्धकारका गहिरा कुराहरू प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ, र अँध्यारो छायामा ज्योति ल्याउनुहुन्छ ।
23 Magnifying the nations, and He destroyeth them, Spreading out the nations, and He quieteth them.
उहाँले जातिहरूलाई बलियो पार्नुहुन्छ, र उहाँले नै तिनीहरूलाई नष्ट गर्नुहुन्छ । उहाँले जातिहरूलाई बिस्तार गर्नुहुन्छ, र उहाँले नै तिनीहरूलाई कैदी बनाएर लैजानुहुन्छ ।
24 Turning aside the heart Of the heads of the people of the land, And he causeth them to wander In vacancy — no way!
उहाँले पृथ्वीका मानिसहरूका अगुवाहरूबाट समझशक्ति हटाउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई उजाड-स्थानमा भौंतारिन लगाउनुहुन्छ जहाँ कुनै बाटो हुँदैन ।
25 They feel darkness, and not light, He causeth them to wander as a drunkard.
उज्यालोविना अन्धकारमा तिनीहरू छामेर हिंड्छन् । उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई मातेको मान्छैझै धर्मराउने बनाउनुहुन्छ ।
