< Job 11 >

1 And Zophar the Naamathite answereth and saith: —
and to answer Zophar [the] Naamathite and to say
2 Is a multitude of words not answered? And is a man of lips justified?
abundance word not to answer and if: surely no man lip: words to justify
3 Thy devices make men keep silent, Thou scornest, and none is causing blushing!
bluster your man be quiet and to mock and nothing be humiliated
4 And thou sayest, 'Pure [is] my discourse, And clean I have been in Thine eyes.'
and to say pure teaching my and pure to be in/on/with eye your
5 And yet, O that God had spoken! And doth open His lips with thee.
and but who? to give: if only! god to speak: speak and to open lips his with you
6 And declare to thee secrets of wisdom, For counsel hath foldings. And know thou that God forgetteth for thee, [Some] of thine iniquity.
and to tell to/for you secret wisdom for double to/for wisdom and to know for to forget to/for you god from iniquity: guilt your
7 By searching dost thou find out God? Unto perfection find out the Mighty One?
search god to find if: surely no till limit Almighty to find
8 Heights of the heavens! — what dost thou? Deeper than Sheol! — what knowest thou? (Sheol h7585)
height heaven what? to work deep from hell: Sheol what? to know (Sheol h7585)
9 Longer than earth [is] its measure, And broader than the sea.
long from land: country/planet garment her and broad: wide from sea
10 If He pass on, and shut up, and assemble, Who then dost reverse it?
if to pass and to shut and to gather and who? to return: return him
11 For he hath known men of vanity, And He seeth iniquity, And one doth not consider [it]!
for he/she/it to know man vanity: false and to see: see evil: wickedness and not to understand
12 And empty man is bold, And the colt of a wild ass man is born.
and man be hollow to encourage and colt wild donkey man to beget
13 If thou — thou hast prepared thy heart, And hast spread out unto Him thy hands,
if you(m. s.) to establish: prepare heart your and to spread to(wards) him palm your
14 If iniquity [is] in thy hand, put it far off, And let not perverseness dwell in thy tents.
if evil: wickedness in/on/with hand your to remove him and not to dwell in/on/with tent your injustice
15 For then thou liftest up thy face from blemish, And thou hast been firm, and fearest not.
for then to lift: kindness face: kindness your from blemish and to be to pour: firm and not to fear
16 For thou dost forget misery, As waters passed away thou rememberest.
for you(m. s.) trouble to forget like/as water to pass to remember
17 And above the noon doth age rise, Thou fliest — as the morning thou art.
and from midday to arise: establish lifetime/world gloom like/as morning to be
18 And thou hast trusted because their is hope, And searched — in confidence thou liest down,
and to trust for there hope and to search to/for security to lie down: sleep
19 And thou hast rested, And none is causing trembling, And many have entreated thy face;
and to stretch and nothing to tremble and to beg face of your many
20 And the eyes of the wicked are consumed, And refuge hath perished from them, And their hope [is] a breathing out of soul!
and eye wicked to end: expend and refuge to perish from them and hope their exhalation soul: life
