< Jeremiah 45 >

1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet hath spoken unto Baruch son of Neriah, in his writing these words on a book from the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, saying:
Ty enta’ Iirmeà mpitoky natao’e amy Baroke ana’ i Nerià, ie sinoki’e am-boke ao o tsara boak’ am-palie’ Iirmeà retoa, an-taom-paha-efa’ Iehoiakime ana’ Iosià, mpanjaka’ Iehodà, manao ty hoe:
2 'Thus said Jehovah, God of Israel, concerning thee, O Baruch:
Hoe t’Iehovà, Andrianañahare’ Israele ama’o ry Baroke: fa nanao ty hoe irehe:
3 'Thou hast said, Woe to me, now, for Jehovah hath added sorrow to my pain, I have been wearied with my sighing, and rest I have not found.
Feh’ohatse amako henane zao! fa nitovoña’ Iehovà fioremeñañe ty fangirifiriako; mahamamak’ ahy ty fiñeoñeoko, le tsy mahatrea fitofàñe.
4 Thus dost thou say unto him: Thus said Jehovah: Lo, that which I have built I am throwing down, and that which I have planted I am plucking up, even the whole land itself.
Ty hoe ty ho saontsie’o ama’e, Hoe t’Iehovà: Inao! fa ho rotsaheko i niranjiekoy, vaho hombotako o nambolekoo, i hene taney ‘nio.
5 And thou — thou seekest for thee great things — do not seek, for lo, I am bringing in evil on all flesh — an affirmation of Jehovah — and I have given to thee thy life for a spoil, in all places whither thou goest.'
Aa le mipay raha ra’ elahy ho am-bata’o v’ iheo? Ko tsoehe’o fa ingo, hametsahako hankàñe iaby ze atao nofotse, hoe t’Iehovà; fe hatoloko azo ho tamben’ali’o ty fiai’o amy ze hene toetse hañaveloa’o.
