Jeremiah 28
1 And it cometh to pass, in that year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, spoken unto me hath Hananiah son of Azur the prophet, who [is] of Gibeon, in the house of Jehovah, before the eyes of the priests, and all the people, saying,
Vào tháng thứ năm cùng năm đó—tức năm thứ tư trị vì đời Sê-đê-kia, vua Giu-đa—Ha-na-nia, con A-xua, một tiên tri ở Ga-ba-ôn, gặp tôi trong Đền Thờ, trước mặt các thầy tế lễ và toàn thể dân chúng. Ông nói:
2 'Thus spake Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon;
“Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên phán: ‘Ta sẽ bẻ ách của vua Ba-by-lôn khỏi cổ các ngươi.
3 Within two years of days I am bringing back unto this place all the vessels of the house of Jehovah that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon hath taken from this place, and doth carry to Babylon,
Trong vòng hai năm nữa, Ta sẽ mang về đây tất cả bảo vật của Đền Thờ đã bị Vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa đem qua Ba-by-lôn.
4 And Jeconiah son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the removed of Judah, who are entering Babylon, I am bringing back unto this place — an affirmation of Jehovah; for I do break the yoke of the king of Babylon.'
Ta cũng sẽ đem Giê-cô-nia, con Giê-hô-gia-kim, vua Giu-đa, và tất cả người bị lưu đày qua Ba-by-lôn trở về. Ta chắc sẽ bẻ gãy ách mà vua Ba-by-lôn đã đặt trên cổ các ngươi. Ta, Chúa Hằng Hữu, phán vậy!’”
5 And Jeremiah the prophet saith unto Hananiah the prophet, before the eyes of the priests, and before the eyes of all the people who are standing in the house of Jehovah,
Giê-rê-mi liền đáp lời Ha-na-nia ngay trước mặt các thầy tế lễ và tất cả dân chúng đang đứng tại Đền Thờ.
6 Yea, Jeremiah the prophet saith, 'Amen! so may Jehovah do; Jehovah establish thy words that thou hast prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the house of Jehovah and all the removal from Babylon, unto this place.
Ông nói: “A-men! Cầu xin lời tiên tri của ông thành sự thật! Tôi hy vọng Chúa Hằng Hữu thực hiện điều ông nói. Tôi hy vọng Chúa sẽ đem các bảo vật của Đền Thờ cũng như tất cả người bị lưu đày qua Ba-by-lôn trở về đây.
7 'Only, hear, I pray thee, this word that I am speaking in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people.
Nhưng xin nghe rõ lời nghiêm trọng tôi nói với ông trước những người hiện diện tại đây.
8 The prophets who have been before me, and before thee, from of old, even they prophesy concerning many lands, and concerning great kingdoms, of battle, and of evil, and of pestilence.
Các nhà tiên tri cổ xưa trước đời anh và tôi đã tiên tri về chiến tranh, tai họa, và dịch bệnh giáng xuống nhiều dân tộc.
9 The prophet who doth prophesy of peace — by the coming in of the word of the prophet, known is the prophet that Jehovah hath truly sent him.'
Vậy, một tiên tri báo bình an thì lời phải được ứng nghiệm. Chỉ khi nào lời tiên tri của người ấy thành sự thật, thì chúng ta biết người ấy thật là tiên tri của Chúa Hằng Hữu.”
10 And Hananiah the prophet taketh the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, and breaketh it,
Rồi Tiên tri Ha-na-nia tháo ách ra khỏi cổ Giê-rê-mi và bẻ ra từng mảnh.
11 And Hananiah speaketh before the eyes of all the people, saying, 'Thus said Jehovah, Thus I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, within two years of days, from off the neck of all the nations;' and Jeremiah the prophet goeth on his way.
Và Ha-na-nia lại tuyên bố trước đám đông đang tụ họp: “Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: ‘Như cái ách đã bị bẻ gãy này, trong vòng hai năm nữa, Ta cũng sẽ bẻ cái ách áp bức của Vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, nước Ba-by-lôn, đã đặt trên cổ các nước như vậy.’” Nghe vậy, Giê-rê-mi liền rời khỏi khu vực Đền Thờ.
12 And there is a word of Jehovah unto Jeremiah after the breaking, by Hananiah the prophet, of the yoke from off the neck of Jeremiah the prophet, saying,
Không bao lâu sau cuộc chạm trán với Ha-na-nia, Chúa Hằng Hữu ban sứ điệp này cho Giê-rê-mi:
13 'Go, and thou hast spoken unto Hananiah, saying, Thus said Jehovah, Yokes of wood thou hast broken, and I have made instead of them yokes of iron;
“Hãy đi và nói với Ha-na-nia rằng: ‘Đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: Ngươi đã bẻ ách bằng gỗ, nhưng ngươi đã thay thế cái ách bằng sắt.
14 For thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, A yoke of iron I have put on the neck of all these nations to serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and they have served him, and also the beast of the field I have given to him.'
Chúa Hằng Hữu Vạn Quân, Đức Chúa Trời của Ít-ra-ên, phán: Ta đã đặt ách bằng sắt trên cổ các dân tộc này, buộc chúng phải phục dịch Vua Nê-bu-cát-nết-sa, nước Ba-by-lôn. Ta cũng cho người quản trị mọi thứ kể cả các thú rừng.’”
15 And Jeremiah the prophet saith unto Hananiah the prophet, 'Hear, I pray thee, O Hananiah; Jehovah hath not sent thee, and thou hast caused this people to trust on falsehood.
Kế đến, Tiên tri Giê-rê-mi cảnh cáo Ha-na-nia: “Hãy lắng nghe, hỡi Ha-na-nia! Chúa Hằng Hữu không sai phái ông, mà dân chúng lại tin tưởng chuyện giả dối của ông.
16 Therefore thus said Jehovah, Lo, I am casting thee from off the face of the ground; this year thou diest, for apostasy thou hast spoken concerning Jehovah.'
Vì thế, đây là điều Chúa Hằng Hữu phán: ‘Ngươi phải chết. Trong năm nay, cuộc sống ngươi sẽ chấm dứt vì ngươi đã nói những lời loạn nghịch cùng Chúa Hằng Hữu.’”
17 And Hananiah the prophet dieth in that year, in the seventh month.
Vào tháng bảy năm ấy, Tiên tri Ha-na-nia chết.
