Isaiah 9
1 As the former time made light The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, So the latter hath honoured the way of the sea, Beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations.
ಆದರೂ ಸಂಕಟಪಟ್ಟ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅಂಧಕಾರವಿನ್ನಿಲ್ಲ. ಹಿಂದಿನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆಬುಲೂನ್ ನಾಡು ಮತ್ತು ನಫ್ತಾಲಿ ನಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿ, ಅನಂತರ ಯೊರ್ದನಿನ ಆಚೆಯ ಸೀಮೆ, ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಕಡೆಗಿರುವ ಸೀಮೆ, ಇತರ ಜನರಿರುವ ಗಲಿಲಾಯ ನಾಡು, ಈ ಪ್ರಾಂತವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಘನಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
2 The people who are walking in darkness Have seen a great light, Dwellers in a land of death-shade, Light hath shone upon them.
ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಈ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಮಹಾ ಬೆಳಕು ಕಾಣಿಸಿತು, ಮರಣದ ನೆರಳಿನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕು ಉದಯಿಸಿತು.
3 Thou hast multiplied the nation, Thou hast made great its joy, They have joyed before Thee as the joy in harvest, As [men] rejoice in their apportioning spoil.
ನೀವು ಜನಾಂಗವನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದೀರಿ. ಸುಗ್ಗಿ ಕಾಲದ ಸಂತೋಷದಂತೆಯೂ, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಾಗ ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸುವರು.
4 Because the yoke of its burden, And the staff of its shoulder, the rod of its exactor, Thou hast broken as [in] the day of Midian.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನ ನೊಗವನ್ನೂ, ಬೆನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದ ಕೋಲನ್ನೂ, ಬಿಟ್ಟೀ ಹಿಡಿದವನ ದೊಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಮಿದ್ಯಾನಿನ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುರಿದಂತೆ ಮುರಿದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ.
5 For every battle of a warrior [is] with rushing, and raiment rolled in blood, And it hath been for burning — fuel of fire.
ಯುದ್ಧವೀರರ ಪ್ರತಿ ಯುದ್ಧವು ಗಲಿಬಿಲಿಯ ಗದ್ದಲದಿಂದ ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊರಳಾಡಿಸಿದ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳು ಆಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇವು ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ಆಹುತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತವೆ. ಅದು ಬೆಂಕಿಗೆ ಇಂಧನವಾಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ.
6 For a Child hath been born to us, A Son hath been given to us, And the princely power is on his shoulder, And He doth call his name Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace.
ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಒಂದು ಮಗು ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದೆಯಷ್ಟೆ, ಆ ಮಗನನ್ನು ನಮಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆಡಳಿತವು ಅವರ ಬಾಹುವಿನ ಮೇಲಿರುವುದು, ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದವರು ಸಮಾಲೋಚಕರು, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಿಯಾದ ದೇವರು, ನಿತ್ಯರಾದ ತಂದೆ, ಸಮಾಧಾನದ ಪ್ರಭು, ಎಂಬುದು ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿರುವುದು.
7 To the increase of the princely power, And of peace, there is no end, On the throne of David, and on his kingdom, To establish it, and to support it, In judgment and in righteousness, Henceforth, even unto the age, The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts doth this.
ಅವರ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಂತಿಗೆ ಅಂತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಆಡಳಿತವು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವುದು, ದಾವೀದನ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಇಂದಿನಿಂದ ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಥಿರಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಅನುಗ್ರಹವು ಇದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವುದು.
8 A word hath the Lord sent into Jacob, And it hath fallen in Israel.
ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯಾಕೋಬನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಮಾತನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು, ಅದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ತಗುಲಿತು.
9 And the people have known — all of it, Ephraim, and the inhabitant of Samaria, In pride and in greatness of heart, saying,
ಗರ್ವದಿಂದಲೂ, ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನರಿಗೂ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಈ ಮಾತು ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು. ಅದೇನೆಂದರೆ,
10 'Bricks have fallen, and hewn work we build, Sycamores have been cut down, and cedars we renew.'
“ಇಟ್ಟಿಗೆಗಳು ಬಿದ್ದು ಹೋದರೂ ಕೆತ್ತಿದ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಕಟ್ಟುವೆವು. ಅತ್ತಿಮರಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದಿದ್ದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಾವು ದೇವದಾರು ವೃಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುವೆವು,”
11 And Jehovah setteth the adversaries of Rezin on high above him, And his enemies he joineth together,
ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ರೆಚೀನನ ವೈರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿ,
12 Aram from before, and Philistia from behind, And they devour Israel with the whole mouth. With all this not turned back hath His anger, And still His hand is stretched out.
ಅವನ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಾದ ಪೂರ್ವದಿಂದ ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆಯೂ, ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಿಂದ ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿಸುವರು. ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ತೆರೆದ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದರೂ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ, ಅವರ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
13 And the people hath not turned back unto Him who is smiting it, And Jehovah of Hosts they have not sought.
ಆದರೂ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಿಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗದೆಯೂ, ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕದೆಯೂ ಇದ್ದರು.
14 And Jehovah cutteth off from Israel head and tail, Branch and reed — the same day,
ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಿಂದ ತಲೆ ಬಾಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ಖರ್ಜೂರದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಒಂದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡಿದುಹಾಕುವರು.
15 Elder, and accepted of face, he [is] the head, Prophet, teacher of falsehood, he [is] the tail.
ಹಿರಿಯನು ಮತ್ತು ಘನವುಳ್ಳವನು ತಲೆಯಾಗಿರುವನು, ಸುಳ್ಳು ಬೋಧಿಸುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಬಾಲವಾಗಿರುವನು.
16 And the eulogists of this people are causing to err, And its eulogised ones are consumed.
ಈ ಜನರನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವವರು ದಾರಿ ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವರು ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು.
17 Therefore, over its young men the Lord rejoiceth not, And its orphans, and its widows He pitieth not, For every one [is] profane, and an evil doer, And every mouth is speaking folly. With all this not turned back hath His anger, And still His hand is stretched out.
ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಕರ್ತದೇವರು ಅವರ ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಆನಂದಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರ ಅನಾಥರನ್ನೂ, ವಿಧವೆಯರನ್ನೂ ಕರುಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಕಪಟಿಯೂ, ಕೇಡು ಮಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಎಲ್ಲರ ಬಾಯಿಯೂ ಮೂರ್ಖತನದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಆಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದರೂ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ, ಅವರ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
18 For burned as a fire hath wickedness, Brier and thorn it devoureth, And it kindleth in thickets of the forest, And they lift themselves up, an exaltation of smoke!
ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಂತೆ ಉರಿದು ದತ್ತೂರಿ, ಮುಳ್ಳುಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅಡವಿಯ ಪೊದೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ಅದು ಹೊಗೆ ಹೊಗೆಯಾಗಿ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಏರುತ್ತದೆ.
19 In the wrath of Jehovah of Hosts Hath the land been consumed, And the people is as fuel of fire; A man on his brother hath no pity,
ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ದೇಶವು ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗಿದೆ, ಜನರು ಉರಿಯುವ ಸೌದೆಯಂತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯಾವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೂ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರನನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
20 And cutteth down on the right, and hath been hungry, And he devoureth on the left, And they have not been satisfied, Each the flesh of his own arm they devour.
ಅವನು ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ತಿಂದರೂ ಹಸಿದೇ ಇರುವನು, ಅವನು ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನು ತಿಂದರೂ ಅವು ಅವನನ್ನು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸಲಾರವು. ಒಬ್ಬೊಬ್ಬನೂ ತನ್ನ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಹಾನಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
21 Manasseh — Ephraim, and Ephraim — Manasseh, Together they [are] against Judah, With all this not turned back hath His anger. And still His hand is stretched out!
ಹೀಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯನ್ನು ಹಾನಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿ ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿರುವರು. ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆದರೂ ಅವರ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರದೆ, ಅವರ ಕೈ ಇನ್ನೂ ಚಾಚಿಯೇ ಇದೆ.
