Isaiah 61

1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah [is] on me, Because Jehovah did anoint me To proclaim tidings to the humble, He sent me to bind the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives liberty, And to bound ones an opening of bands.

ദരിദ്രരോടു സുവിശേഷം അറിയിക്കാൻ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് എന്നെ അഭിഷേകം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുകയാൽ അവിടത്തെ ആത്മാവ് എന്റെമേലുണ്ട്. ഹൃദയം തകർന്നവരുടെ മുറിവു കെട്ടുന്നതിനും തടവുകാർക്കു സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നതിനും ബന്ധിതരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനും അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

2 To proclaim the year of the good pleasure of Jehovah, And the day of vengeance of our God, To comfort all mourners.

യഹോവയുടെ പ്രസാദവർഷവും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രതികാരദിവസവും പ്രസംഗിക്കാനും വിലപിക്കുന്നവരെയെല്ലാം ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കാനും

3 To appoint to mourners in Zion, To give to them beauty instead of ashes, The oil of joy instead of mourning, A covering of praise for a spirit of weakness, And He is calling to them, 'Trees of righteousness, The planting of Jehovah — to be beautified.'

സീയോനിലെ ദുഃഖിതർക്കു— വെണ്ണീറിനു പകരം തലപ്പാവ് അലങ്കാരമായും വിലാപത്തിനു പകരം ആനന്ദതൈലവും വിഷാദഹൃദയത്തിനു പകരം സ്തുതിയെന്ന മേലങ്കിയും നൽകുവാനും, അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന് യഹോവ നട്ടുവളർത്തിയ നീതിയുടെ ഓക്കുമരങ്ങളാണ് അവർ എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും.

4 And they have built the wastes of old, The desolations of the ancients they raise up, And they have renewed waste cities, The desolations of generation and generation.

അവർ പൗരാണിക ശൂന്യശിഷ്ടങ്ങളെ പുതുക്കിപ്പണിയും, പണ്ടു തകർക്കപ്പെട്ടതെല്ലാം കെട്ടിയുയർത്തും; ശൂന്യനഗരങ്ങളെ അവർ പുനരുദ്ധരിക്കും, തലമുറകളായി ശൂന്യമായിക്കിടക്കുന്നവയെത്തന്നെ.

5 And strangers have stood and fed your flock, Sons of a foreigner [are] your husbandmen, And your vine-dressers.

അപരിചിതർ നിങ്ങളുടെ ആട്ടിൻപറ്റങ്ങളെ മേയിക്കും; വിദേശികൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ നിലങ്ങളിലും മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പുകളിലും പണിയെടുക്കും.

6 And ye are called 'Priests of Jehovah,' 'Ministers of our God,' is said of you, The strength of nations ye consume, And in their honour ye do boast yourselves.

എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ പുരോഹിതന്മാരെന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും, നിങ്ങൾക്കു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷകർ എന്ന പേരു നൽകപ്പെടും. നിങ്ങൾ ഇതര രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ സമ്പത്ത് അനുഭവിക്കും, അവരുടെ ധനം നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രശംസാവിഷയമായിത്തീരും.

7 Instead of your shame and confusion, A second time they sing of their portion, Therefore in their land A second time do they take possession, Joy age-during [is] for them.

നിങ്ങളുടെ ലജ്ജയ്ക്കു പകരമായി നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഇരട്ടി പ്രതിഫലം ലഭിക്കും, അപമാനത്തിനു പകരം നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ആനന്ദിക്കും. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്ത് ഇരട്ടി ഓഹരി നിങ്ങൾക്കു ലഭിക്കും, ശാശ്വതമായ ആനന്ദം നിങ്ങൾക്കുണ്ടാകും.

8 For I [am] Jehovah, loving judgment, Hating plunder for a burnt-offering, And I have given their wage in truth, And a covenant age-during I make for them.

“കാരണം യഹോവ ആകുന്ന ഞാൻ, നീതിയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; കവർച്ചയും അതിക്രമവും ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ എന്റെ ജനത്തിനു പ്രതിഫലംനൽകും, അവരുമായി ഒരു നിത്യ ഉടമ്പടിയും ചെയ്യും.

9 And known among nations hath been their seed, And their offspring in the midst of the peoples, All their beholders acknowledge them, For they [are] a seed Jehovah hath blessed.

അവരുടെ സന്തതി രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലും അവരുടെ പിൻഗാമികൾ ജനതകൾക്കിടയിലും അറിയപ്പെടും. അവരെ കാണുന്നവരെല്ലാം അവർ യഹോവ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ച ജനം എന്ന് അംഗീകരിക്കും.”

10 I greatly rejoice in Jehovah, Joy doth my soul in my God, For He clothed me with garments of salvation, With a robe of righteousness covereth Me, As a bridegroom prepareth ornaments, And as a bride putteth on her jewels.

ഞാൻ യഹോവയിൽ അത്യന്തം ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ദൈവത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നു. മണവാളൻ തന്റെ ശിരസ്സ് പുരോഹിതനെപ്പോലെ തലപ്പാവുകൊണ്ട് അലങ്കരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും മണവാട്ടി ആഭരണങ്ങൾ അണിയുന്നതുപോലെയും അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ രക്ഷാവസ്ത്രം ധരിപ്പിക്കുകയും നീതിയെന്ന പുറങ്കുപ്പായം അണിയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

11 For, as the earth bringeth forth her shoots, And as a garden causeth its sown things to shoot up, So the Lord Jehovah causeth righteousness and praise To shoot up before all the nations!

ഭൂമി അതിൽ തൈകളെ മുളപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും തോട്ടം അതിൽ വിതച്ച വിത്തു കിളിർപ്പിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയും യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് സകലജനതകളുടെയും മുമ്പിൽ നീതിയും സ്തോത്രവും ഉയർന്നുവരാൻ ഇടയാക്കും.
