Isaiah 6
1 In the year of the death of king Uzziah — I see the Lord, sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and His train is filling the temple.
ഉസ്സീയാരാജാവ് മരിച്ച വർഷത്തിൽ ഉത്തുംഗവും ഉന്നതവുമായ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഉപവിഷ്ടനായിരിക്കുന്ന കർത്താവിനെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടു; അവിടത്തെ അങ്കിയുടെ തൊങ്ങലുകൾ ആലയത്തെ നിറച്ചിരുന്നു.
2 Seraphs are standing above it: six wings hath each one; with two [each] covereth its face, and with two [each] covereth its feet, and with two [each] flieth.
സാറാഫുകൾ അവിടത്തെ മുകളിലായി നിന്നിരുന്നു; ഓരോ സാറാഫിനും ആറു ചിറകുവീതം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു; രണ്ടുകൊണ്ട് അവർ മുഖം മൂടി; രണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു കാൽ മൂടി; രണ്ടുകൊണ്ടു പറന്നു.
3 And this one hath called unto that, and hath said: 'Holy, Holy, Holy, [is] Jehovah of Hosts, The fulness of all the earth [is] His glory.'
അവർ പരസ്പരം ഇപ്രകാരം വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു: “സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ പരിശുദ്ധൻ, പരിശുദ്ധൻ, പരിശുദ്ധൻ; ഭൂമി മുഴുവൻ അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വംകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.”
4 And the posts of the thresholds are moved by the voice of him who is calling, and the house is full of smoke.
അവർ ആർക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദത്താൽ ആലയത്തിന്റെ കട്ടിളക്കാലുകളും വാതിൽപ്പടികളും കുലുങ്ങി; ആലയം പുകകൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.
5 And I say, 'Woe to me, for I have been silent, For a man — unclean of lips [am] I, And in midst of a people unclean of lips I am dwelling, Because the King, Jehovah of Hosts, have my eyes seen.'
അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ, “എനിക്ക് അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം! ഞാൻ നശിച്ചു! ഞാൻ അശുദ്ധ അധരങ്ങളുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ; അശുദ്ധമായ അധരങ്ങളുള്ള ജനത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ പാർക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണ് സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ രാജാവിനെ കണ്ടല്ലോ” എന്നു കരഞ്ഞു.
6 And flee unto me doth one of the seraphs, and in his hand a burning coal, (with tongs he hath taken [it] from off the altar, )
അപ്പോൾ സാറാഫുകളിൽ ഒരാൾ കൈയിൽ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന ഒരു തീക്കനലുമായി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ പറന്നെത്തി. അത് അദ്ദേഹം കൊടിൽകൊണ്ട് യാഗപീഠത്തിൽനിന്ന് എടുത്തതായിരുന്നു.
7 and he striketh against my mouth, and saith: 'Lo, this hath stricken against thy lips, And turned aside is thine iniquity, And thy sin is covered.'
ആ കനൽകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ അധരം സ്പർശിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ആ ദൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “നോക്കൂ, ഇതു നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളെ സ്പർശിച്ചതിനാൽ, നിന്റെ അകൃത്യം നീക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, നിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.”
8 And I hear the voice of the Lord, saying: 'Whom do I send? and who doth go for Us?' And I say, 'Here [am] I, send me.'
അതിനുശേഷം, “ഞാൻ ആരെ അയയ്ക്കേണ്ടൂ? ആർ നമുക്കുവേണ്ടി പോകും?” എന്നു ചോദിക്കുന്ന കർത്താവിന്റെ ശബ്ദം ഞാൻ കേട്ടു. “അടിയൻ ഇതാ! അടിയനെ അയയ്ക്കണമേ,” എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.
9 And He saith, 'Go, and thou hast said to this people, Hear ye — to hear, and ye do not understand, And see ye — to see, and ye do not know.
അവിടന്ന് എന്നോട്: “നീ പോയി ഈ ജനത്തോടു പറയുക: “‘നിങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും, എന്നാൽ ഒരിക്കലും ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയില്ല; നിങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും കണ്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും, എന്നാൽ ഒരിക്കലും ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയില്ല.’
10 Declare fat the heart of this people, And its ears declare heavy, And its eyes declare dazzled, Lest it see with its eyes, And with its ears hear, and its heart consider, And it hath turned back, and hath health.'
ഈ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഹൃദയം കഠിനമാക്കുക അവരുടെ കാതുകൾ മന്ദമാക്കുക അവരുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ അന്ധമാക്കുക. അല്ലാത്തപക്ഷം അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണുകളാൽ കാണുകയും തങ്ങളുടെ കാതുകളാൽ കേൾക്കുകയും അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളാൽ ഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിട്ട്, മനസ്സുതിരിഞ്ഞു സൗഖ്യം പ്രാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമല്ലോ,” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
11 And I say, 'Till when, O Lord?' And He saith, 'Surely till cities have been wasted without inhabitant, And houses without man, And the ground be wasted — a desolation,
“കർത്താവേ, എപ്പോൾവരെ?” എന്നു ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചു. അവിടന്ന് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു: “പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ശൂന്യമാകുന്നതുവരെ, നിവാസികൾ ഇല്ലാതാകുന്നതുവരെ, വീടുകൾ ആളില്ലാതാകുന്നതുവരെ, ദേശം പാഴും ശൂന്യവും ആകുന്നതുവരെത്തന്നെ,
12 And Jehovah hath put man far off, And great [is] the forsaken part in the heart of the land.
യഹോവ എല്ലാവരെയും വിദൂരത്ത് അയയ്ക്കുന്നതുവരെ, ദേശംമുഴുവനും തീർത്തും നിർജനസ്ഥലം ആയിത്തീരുന്നതുവരെത്തന്നെ.
13 And yet in it a tenth, and it hath turned, And hath been for a burning, As a teil-tree, and as an oak, that in falling, Have substance in them, The holy seed [is] its substance!'
അതിൽ ഒരു ദശാംശമെങ്കിലും ശേഷിച്ചാൽ, അതു പിന്നെയും ദഹിപ്പിക്കപ്പെടും. കരിമരവും കരുവേലകവും വെട്ടിയിട്ടശേഷം കുറ്റി ശേഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ വിശുദ്ധസന്തതി ഒരു കുറ്റിയായി ശേഷിക്കും.”
