< Isaiah 58 >

1 Call with the throat, restrain not, As a trumpet lift up thy voice, And declare to My people their transgression, And to the house of Jacob their sins;
“Welie olu gị tie mkpu, egbochikwala iti mkpu. Welie olu gị dịka opi ike. Gwa ndị m nnupu isi ha, gwakwa ụlọ Jekọb mmehie ha.
2 Seeing — Me day by day they seek, And the knowledge of My ways they desire, As a nation that righteousness hath done, And the judgment of its God hath not forsaken, They ask of me judgments of righteousness, The drawing near of God they desire:
Kwa ụbọchị ka ha na-achọ m ha na-eme dịka ọ na-agụ ha agụ ịmara ụzọ m niile, dịka a ga-asị na ha bụ mba na-eme ihe ziri ezi, ndị na-agbakụtaghị iwu Chineke ha azụ. Ha na-ajụ m maka ikpe ziri ezi, na-eme dịka ọ na-agụ ha agụụ ka Chineke bịaruo ha nso.
3 'Why have we fasted, and Thou hast not seen? We have afflicted our soul, and Thou knowest not.' Lo, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, And all your labours ye exact.
Ha na-asị, ‘Nʼihi gịnị ka anyị ji ebu ọnụ, ma ị dịghị ahụta ya? Nʼihi gịnị ka anyị ji weda onwe anyị nʼala, ma ị dịghị ahụta nke a?’ “Ma nʼụbọchị unu na-ebu ọnụ, unu na-eme ihe masịrị unu, unu na-eji anya ike nara ndị na-arụrụ unu ọrụ ihe ha rụpụtara.
4 Lo, for strife and debate ye fast, And to smite with the fist of wickedness, Ye fast not as [to] -day, To sound in the high place your voice.
Nʼoge ahụ, ọ bụ ise okwu na ịlụ ọgụ, ya na iti ibe unu ọkpọ nʼihi ajọọ obi ka unu ji emechi ụbọchị ibu ọnụ unu. Unu apụghị ibu ọnụ otu unu si eme taa na-ele anya ka anụ olu unu nʼelu.
5 Like this is the fast that I choose? The day of a man's afflicting his soul? To bow as a reed his head, And sackcloth and ashes spread out? This dost thou call a fast, And a desirable day — to Jehovah?
Nke a ọ bụ ụdị obubu ọnụ nke m họpụtara, naanị ụbọchị nke ndị mmadụ ji eweda onwe ha nʼala? Ọ bụ naanị nke mmadụ ji ehulata isi ya nʼala dịka osisi achara, nke i dina nʼakwa mkpe na ntụ? Ọ bụ nke a ka unu na-akpọ obubu ọnụ, ụbọchị nke Onyenwe anyị nabatara?
6 Is not this the fast that I chose — To loose the bands of wickedness, To shake off the burdens of the yoke, And to send out the oppressed free, And every yoke ye draw off?
“Nke a ọ bụghị ụdị obubu ọnụ m họpụtara: Ịtọpụ agbụ niile nke ikpe na-ezighị ezi, na ịtọpụ ụdọ niile nke mmegbu, na ime ka ndị a na-emegbu nwere onwe ha na itiji yoku ọbụla?
7 Is it not to deal to the hungry thy bread, And the mourning poor bring home, That thou seest the naked and cover him, And from thine own flesh hide not thyself?
Ka i kenye ndị agụụ na-agụ ihe oriri gị, ka ị kpọbata nʼime ụlọ gị ndị na-enweghị onye inyeaka, ma ndị ogbenye. Ka i nye ndị na-agba ọtọ uwe, ka ị hapụ izo onwe gị nʼebe ndị ikwu gị chọrọ inyeaka gị nọ.
8 Then broken up as the dawn is thy light, And thy health in haste springeth up, Gone before thee hath thy righteousness, The honour of Jehovah doth gather thee.
Ọ bụrụ na i mee ihe ndị a, aga m eme ka ihuọma m chakwasị gị dịka ìhè isi ụtụtụ. A ga-agwọkwa ọrịa gị niile. Mgbe ahụ, ezi omume gị ga-edu gị, ebube Onyenwe anyị ga-echekwa gị nʼazụ.
9 Then thou callest, and Jehovah answereth, Thou criest, and He saith, 'Behold Me.' If thou turn aside from thy midst the yoke, The sending forth of the finger, And the speaking of vanity,
Mgbe ahụ, ị ga-akpọ, Onyenwe anyị ga-azakwa, ị ga-eti mkpu akwa maka enyemaka, ọ ga-asị gị, Lekwa m nʼebe a. “Ọ bụrụ na ị wezuga yoku mmegbu, ọ bụrụkwa na ịkwụsị ịtụ mkpịsịaka, na ịgbasa okwu ịkpọ asị,
10 And dost bring out to the hungry thy soul, And the afflicted soul dost satisfy, Then risen in the darkness hath thy light, And thy thick darkness [is] as noon.
ọ bụrụ na inye ndị agụụ na-agụ nri, nyere ndị nọ na mkpa aka, mgbe ahụ, ìhè gị ga-achawapụta, ọchịchịrị niile gbara gị gburugburu ga-aghọ ìhè, na-achakwa ka ehihie.
11 And Jehovah doth lead thee continually, And hath satisfied in drought thy soul, And thy bones He armeth, And thou hast been as a watered garden, And as an outlet of waters, whose waters lie not.
Onyenwe anyị ga na-edu gị mgbe niile. Ọ ga-eme ka afọ jụ gị nʼala kpọrọ nkụ, meekwa ka ị nọrọ nʼahụ isiike. Ị ga-adịkwa ka ubi a gbara ogige nke a na-agba mmiri nke ọma, dịka isi iyi na-adịghị ata ata.
12 And they have built out of thee the wastes of old, The foundations of many generations thou raisest up, And one calleth thee, 'Repairer of the breach, Restorer of paths to rest in.'
Ndị gị ga-edozi mkpọmkpọ ebe ochie niile. Ha ga-ebulikwa ntọala nke mgbe ochie. A ga-akpọ unu ndị na-edozi mgbidi dara ada, ndị na-arụzikwa okporoụzọ nke ebe obibi.
13 If thou dost turn from the sabbath thy foot, Doing thine own pleasure on My holy day, And hast cried to the sabbath, 'A delight,' To the holy of Jehovah, 'Honoured,' And hast honoured it, without doing thine own ways, Without finding thine own pleasure, And speaking a word.
“Ọ bụrụ na i debe ụkwụ gị site na-edebeghị ụbọchị izuike nsọ, sitekwa na-ime ihe ndị na-atọ gị ụtọ nʼụbọchị nsọ m, ọ bụrụ na ịkpọ ụbọchị izuike m ihe mmasị na ụbọchị nsọ Onyenwe anyị ihe a na-akwanyere ugwu, ọ bụrụ na ị sọpụrụ ya site na-emeghị ihe nʼụzọ nke gị, na-emeghị ọchịchọ nke obi gị, maọbụ ikwugheri ọnụ,
14 Then dost thou delight thyself on Jehovah, And I have caused thee to ride on high places of earth, And have caused thee to eat the inheritance of Jacob thy father, For the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken!
