Isaiah 55
1 Ho, every thirsty one, come ye to the waters, And he who hath no money, Come ye, buy and eat, yea, come, buy Without money and without price, wine and milk.
Ó vós, todos os que tendes sede, vinde às águas, e os que não tendes dinheiro, vinde, comprai, e comei; sim, vinde, pois, comprai, sem dinheiro e sem preço, vinho e leite
2 Why do ye weigh money for that which is not bread? And your labour for that which is not for satiety? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat good, And your soul doth delight itself in fatness.
Porque gastais o dinheiro naquilo que não é pão? e o produto do vosso trabalho naquilo que não pode fartar? ouvi-me atentamente, e comei o bem, e a vossa alma se deleite com a gordura.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me, Hear, and your soul doth live, And I make for you a covenant age-during, The kind acts of David — that are stedfast.
Inclinai os vossos ouvidos, e vinde a mim; ouvi, e a vossa alma viverá; porque convosco farei um concerto perpétuo, dando-vos as firmes beneficências de David.
4 Lo, a witness to peoples I have given him, A leader and commander to peoples.
Eis que eu o dei por testemunha aos povos, por príncipe e mandador dos povos.
5 Lo, a nation thou knowest not, thou callest, And a nation who know thee not unto thee do run, For the sake of Jehovah thy God, And for the Holy One of Israel, Because He hath beautified thee.
Eis que chamarás a uma nação que nunca conheceste, e uma nação que nunca te conheceu correrá para ti, por amor do Senhor teu Deus, e do Santo de Israel; porque ele te glorificou.
6 Seek ye Jehovah, while He is found, Call ye Him, while He is near,
Buscai ao Senhor enquanto se pode achar, invocai-o enquanto está perto.
7 Forsake doth the wicked his way, And the man of iniquity his thoughts, And he returneth to Jehovah, and He pitieth him, And unto our God for He multiplieth to pardon.
O ímpio deixe o seu caminho, e o homem maligno os seus pensamentos, e se converta ao Senhor; e se compadecerá dele; como também ao nosso Deus, porque grandioso é em perdoar.
8 For not My thoughts [are] your thoughts, Nor your ways My ways, — an affirmation of Jehovah,
Porque os meus pensamentos não são os vossos pensamentos, nem os vossos caminhos os meus caminhos, diz o Senhor.
9 For high have the heavens been above the earth, So high have been My ways above your ways, And My thoughts above your thoughts.
Porque, assim como os céus são mais altos do que a terra, assim são os meus caminhos mais altos do que os vossos caminhos, e os meus pensamentos mais altos do que os vossos pensamentos.
10 For, as come down doth the shower, And the snow from the heavens, And thither returneth not, But hath watered the earth, And hath caused it to yield, and to spring up, And hath given seed to the sower, and bread to the eater,
Porque, assim como desce a chuva e a neve dos céus, e para lá não torna, porém rega a terra, e a faz produzir, e brotar, e dar semente ao semeador, e pão ao que come
11 So is My word that goeth out of My mouth, It turneth not back unto Me empty, But hath done that which I desired, And prosperously effected that [for] which I sent it.
Assim será a minha palavra, que sair da minha boca; ela não tornará a mim vazia; antes fará o que me apraz, e prosperará naquilo para o que a enviei.
12 For with joy ye go forth, And with peace ye are brought in, The mountains and the hills Break forth before you [with] singing, And all trees of the field clap the hand.
Porque com alegria saireis, e em paz sereis guiados: os montes e os outeiros exclamarão de prazer perante a vossa face, e todas as árvores do campo baterão as palmas.
13 Instead of the thorn come up doth fir, Instead of the brier come up doth myrtle, And it hath been to Jehovah for a name, For a sign age-during — it is not cut off!
Em lugar do espinheiro crescerá a faia, e em lugar da sarça crescerá a murta: o que será para o Senhor por nome, e por sinal eterno, que nunca se apagará.
