< Isaiah 54 >
1 Sing, O barren, she hath not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She hath not brought forth! For more [are] the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one, said Jehovah.
“Atĩrĩrĩ, wee mũndũ-wa-nja thaata ina rwĩmbo, o wee ũtarĩ waciara mwana; ambĩrĩria kũina rwĩmbo, na wanĩrĩre nĩ gũkena, wee ũtarĩ wanyiitwo nĩ ruo rwa gũciara, tondũ ciana cia mũndũ-wa-nja ũrĩa ũtiganĩirio nĩ nyingĩ, gũkĩra cia ũrĩa ũrĩ na mũthuuri,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, And the curtains of thy tabernacles they stretch out, Restrain not — lengthen thy cords, And thy pins make strong.
“Wĩyaramĩrie handũ ha hema yaku, na ũtambũrũkie mataama ma hema yaku maarame, maguucie ũtekũmacaaĩra; raihia mĩkanda ya hema yaku, nacio higĩ ciayo ũcikiindĩre irũme biũ.
3 For right and left thou breakest forth, And thy seed doth nations possess,
Nĩgũkorwo nĩũgatheerema mwena wa ũrĩo na wa ũmotho; njiaro ciaku nĩikegwatĩra mabũrũri ma ndũrĩrĩ, na itũũre matũũra manene ma cio marĩa matigĩtwo matarĩ andũ.
4 And desolate cities they cause to be inhabited. Fear not, for thou art not ashamed, Nor blush, for thou art not confounded, For the shame of thy youth thou forgettest, And the reproach of thy widowhood Thou dost not remember any more.
“Ndũkanetigĩre; tondũ ndũgaaconoka. O na ndũkanaigue guoya wa gũconorithio; nĩgũkorwo ndũrĩ hĩndĩ ũkaanyararithio. Nĩukariganĩrwo nĩ thoni cia ũnini waku, na ndũgacooka kũririkana rĩngĩ ũrĩa wananyararwo nĩgũkorwo ũrĩ wa ndigwa.
5 For thy Maker [is] thy husband, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name, And thy Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel, 'God of all the earth,' He is called.
Nĩgũkorwo ũrĩa Mũũmbi waku nĩwe mũthuuri waku, nake etagwo Jehova Mwene-Hinya-Wothe, o we Ũrĩa Mũtheru wa Isiraeli nĩwe Mũkũũri waku; nake etagwo Ngai mwene thĩ yothe.
6 For, as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Called thee hath Jehovah, Even a youthful wife when she is refused, said thy God.
Nĩgũkorwo Jehova nĩagagwĩta ũcooke, ũhaana ta mũtumia ũtiganĩirio, na mũthĩĩnĩku ngoro, mũtumia wahikire arĩ mũnini, agacooka agateo,” ũguo nĩguo Ngai waku ekuuga.
7 In a small moment I have forsaken thee, And in great mercies I do gather thee,
“Nĩgũkorwo ndĩragũtiganĩirie o gwa kahinda kanini, no nĩngũgũcookia ndĩ na tha nyingĩ mũno.
8 In overflowing wrath I hid my face [for] a moment from thee, And in kindness age-during I have loved thee, Said thy Redeemer — Jehovah!
Hĩndĩ ya marakara maingĩ nĩndakũhithire ũthiũ wakwa gwa kahinda kanini, no nĩ ũndũ wa ũtugi ũrĩa ũtathiraga, nĩngakũiguĩra tha,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova Mũkũũri waku ekuuga.
9 For, the waters of Noah [is] this to Me, In that I have sworn — the waters of Noah Do not pass again over the earth — So I have sworn, Wrath is not upon thee, Nor rebuke against thee.
“Kũrĩ niĩ matukũ maya no ta marĩa ma hĩndĩ ya Nuhu, rĩrĩa ndehĩtire ngiuga atĩ maaĩ ta macio ma hĩndĩ ya Nuhu matigacooka kũiyũra thĩ. Nĩ ũndũ ũcio rĩu nĩndĩhĩtĩte atĩ ndigacooka kũrakara nĩwe o na kana ngũkũũme rĩngĩ.
10 For the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness from thee departeth not, And the covenant of My peace removeth not, Said hath thy loving one — Jehovah.
Nĩgũkorwo irĩma no ithingithio, natuo tũrĩma tweherio, no rĩrĩ, wendo wakwa ũrĩa ũtathiraga ũrĩa ngwendete naguo-rĩ, ndũkeenyenyio, o na kana kĩrĩkanĩro gĩakwa gĩa thayũ kĩeherio harĩwe,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ũrĩa ũkũiguagĩra tha ekuuga.
11 O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Lo, I am laying with cement thy stones, And have founded thee with sapphires,
“Atĩrĩrĩ, wee itũũra rĩĩrĩ inene inyamarie, o wee ũthukathukĩtwo nĩ ihuhũkanio, na ũkaaga wa gũkũhooreria, nĩngagwaka na mahiga ma rangi wa mĩthemba mĩingĩ, nayo mĩthingi yaku ndĩmĩake na mahiga ma yakuti.
12 And have made of agate thy pinnacles, And thy gates of carbuncle stones, And all thy border of stones of delight,
Nĩngathondeka ndirica ciaku na mahiga mega matune, na ihingo ciaku ndĩcithondeke na mahiga ma goro me kũhenia, nacio thingo ciaku ciothe ikorwo irĩ cia mahiga ma goro mũno.
13 And all thy sons are taught of Jehovah, And abundant [is] the peace of thy sons.
Ciana ciaku ciothe nĩikarutagwo ũhoro nĩ Jehova, naguo thayũ wa ciana icio ciaku nĩũkaingĩha mũno.
14 In righteousness thou establishest thyself, Be far from oppression, for thou fearest not, And from ruin, for it cometh not near unto thee.
Nĩũgaikara ta ũhaandĩtwo wega ũhoro-inĩ wa ũthingu: Ũnyamarania nĩũgakũraihĩrĩria; ndũgakorwo ũrĩ na ũndũ ũngĩtũma wĩtigĩre. Nakĩo kĩmako nĩgĩgakũraihĩrĩria; gĩtigagũkuhĩrĩria.
15 Lo, he doth diligently assemble without My desire, Who hath assembled near thee? By thee he falleth!
Na rĩrĩ, andũ mangĩgaagũtharĩkĩra-rĩ, niĩ ndigakorwo ũhoro-inĩ ũcio; na mũndũ o wothe ũgaagũtharĩkĩra-rĩ, ũcio nĩ kwĩneana akeeneana harĩwe.
16 Lo, I — I have prepared an artisan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy.
“Atĩrĩrĩ, niĩ nĩ niĩ ndoombire mũturi, ũrĩa ũhurutagĩra mwaki wa makara, na agatura kĩndũ kĩa mbaara o ũrĩa kĩagĩrĩire wĩra-inĩ wakĩo. O na mũndũ ũrĩa wanangaga akaniinana-rĩ, nĩ niĩ ndĩmũmbĩte;
17 No weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This [is] the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah!
na gũtirĩ kĩndũ kĩa mbaara gĩthondeketwo gĩa gũgũũkĩrĩra gĩkaagaacĩra wĩra-inĩ wakĩo, na nĩũkahoota mũndũ ũrĩa ũkaaria ciugo cia gũgũthitanga. Rĩĩrĩ nĩrĩo igai rĩa ndungata cia Jehova, o naguo ũhoro wacio wa gũtuuo thingu uumaga harĩ niĩ,” ũguo nĩguo Jehova ekuuga.
