Isaiah 35

1 They joy from the wilderness and dry place, And rejoice doth the desert, and flourish as the rose,

সেদিন মরুভূমি ও শুকনো জমি হবে আনন্দিত; মরুপ্রান্তর উল্লসিত হবে এবং বসন্তের প্রথম ফুল সেখানে প্রস্ফুটিত হবে।

2 Flourishing it doth flourish, and rejoice, Yea, [with] joy and singing, The honour of Lebanon hath been given to it, The beauty of Carmel and Sharon, They — they see the honour of Jehovah, The majesty of our God.

হ্যাঁ, সেখানে ফুলের প্রাচুর্য হবে, তা ভীষণভাবে উল্লসিত হয়ে আনন্দে চিৎকার করবে। তাকে দেওয়া হবে লেবাননের প্রতাপ, দেওয়া হবে কর্মিল ও শারোণের শোভা; তারা সদাপ্রভুর মহিমা দেখতে পাবে, তারা দেখবে আমাদের ঈশ্বরের সৌন্দর্য।

3 Strengthen ye the feeble hands, Yea, the stumbling knees strengthen.

যাদের দুর্বল হস্ত, তাদের সবল করো, যাদের হাঁটু দুর্বল, তাদের সুস্থির করো।

4 Say to the hastened of heart, 'Be strong, Fear not, lo, your God; vengeance cometh, The recompence of God, He Himself doth come and save you.'

যাদের হৃদয় ভয়ে ভীত, তাদের বলো, “সবল হও, ভয় কোরো না; তোমাদের ঈশ্বর আসবেন, তিনি প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণের জন্য আসবেন; তিনি তোমাদের উদ্ধার করার জন্য তাদের প্রাপ্য শাস্তি দিতে আসবেন।”

5 Then opened are eyes of the blind, And ears of the deaf are unstopped,

তখন অন্ধদের চোখ খুলে যাবে, বধিরদের কান আর বন্ধ থাকবে না।

6 Then leap as a hart doth the lame, And sing doth the tongue of the dumb, For broken up in a wilderness have been waters, And streams in a desert.

সেই সময় খঞ্জেরা হরিণের মতো লাফ দেবে এবং বোবাদের জিভ আনন্দে চিৎকার করবে। জল তোড়ে বেরিয়ে আসবে প্রান্তর থেকে এবং জলপ্রবাহ মরুভূমি থেকে।

7 And the mirage hath become a pond, And the thirsty land fountains of waters, In the habitation of dragons, Its place of couching down, a court for reed and rush.

তপ্ত বালুকা পুকুরের মতো হবে, তৃষিত ভূমি হবে উচ্ছলিত ফোয়ারার মতো। যে আস্তানায় একদিন শিয়ালরা শুয়ে থাকত, সেখানে উৎপন্ন হবে ঘাস ও নলখাগড়া।

8 And a highway hath been there, and a way, And the 'way of holiness' is called to it, Not pass over it doth the unclean, And He Himself [is] by them, Whoso is going in the way — even fools err not.

সেখানে প্রস্তুত হবে এক রাজপথ; সেই পথকে বলা হবে, “পবিত্রতার সরণি।” কোনো অশুচি মানুষ সেই পথে যাবে না; যারা ঈশ্বরের পথে চলে, এ পথ হবে কেবলমাত্র তাদের জন্য; দুষ্ট ও মূর্খেরা সেই পথ অতিক্রম করবে না।

9 No lion is there, yea, a destructive beast Ascendeth it not, it is not found there, And walked have the redeemed,

সেখানে কোনো সিংহ থাকবে না, কোনো হিংস্র জন্তুও সেই পথে হাঁটবে না, তাদের সেখানে দেখাই যাবে না। কেবলমাত্র মুক্তিপ্রাপ্ত লোকেরাই সেই পথে চলবে,

10 And the ransomed of Jehovah return, And have entered Zion with singing. And joy age-during on their head, Joy and gladness they attain, And fled away have sorrow and sighing!

আর মুক্তিপণ দেওয়া সদাপ্রভুর লোকেরা প্রত্যাবর্তন করবে। তারা গান গাইতে গাইতে সিয়োনে প্রবেশ করবে; তাদের মাথায় থাকবে চিরস্থায়ী আনন্দ-মুকুট। আমোদ ও আনন্দে তারা প্লাবিত হবে, দুঃখ ও দীর্ঘশ্বাস দূরে পলায়ন করবে।
