Isaiah 3
1 For, lo, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Is turning aside from Jerusalem, And from Judah, stay and staff, Every stay of bread, and every stay of water.
౧చూడండి, సేనలకు అధిపతి, ప్రభువూ అయిన యెహోవా యెరూషలేము నుంచి, యూదా నుంచి దాని పోషణ, దాని ఆధారం తీసివేయబోతున్నాడు. దాని ఆహార సంబంధమైన ఆధారం, నీటి సరఫరా,
2 Hero and man of war, judge and prophet, And diviner and elder,
౨శూరులు, యోధులు, న్యాయాధిపతులు, ప్రవక్తలు,
3 Head of fifty, and accepted of faces, And counsellor, and the wise of artificers, And the intelligent of charmers.
౩సోదెగాళ్ళు, పెద్దలు, పంచ దశాధిపతులు, ఘనత వహించిన వాళ్ళు, మంత్రులు, శిల్పశాస్త్రం తెలిసిన వాళ్ళు, మాంత్రికులు, అందరినీ యెరూషలేములోనుంచీ, యూదా దేశంలో నుంచి, తీసివేయబోతున్నాడు.
4 And I have made youths their heads, And sucklings rule over them.
౪“నేను పిల్లలను వాళ్లకు నాయకులుగా నియమిస్తాను. పసివాళ్ళు వాళ్ళ మీద పెత్తనం చేస్తారు.
5 And the people hath exacted — man upon man, Even a man on his neighbour, Enlarge themselves do the youths against the aged, And the lightly esteemed against the honoured.
౫ప్రజల్లో ఒకడు మరొకణ్ణి అణిచివేస్తారు. ప్రతి ఒక్కడూ తన పొరుగువాడి చేత అణిచివేతకు గురౌతాడు. పెద్దవాడి మీద చిన్నవాడు, ఘనుని మీద నీచుడు గర్వించి సవాలు చేసి తిరస్కారంగా ఉంటారు.
6 When one layeth hold on his brother, [Of] the house of his father, [by] the garment, 'Come, a ruler thou art to us, And this ruin [is] under thy hand.'
౬ఒకడు తన తండ్రి ఇంట్లో తన సోదరుణ్ణి పట్టుకుని, ‘నీకు పైవస్త్రం ఉంది. నువ్వు మా మీద అధిపతిగా ఉండు. ఈ పాడైపోయిన స్థలం నీ ఆధీనంలో ఉండనివ్వు’ అంటాడు.
7 He lifteth up, in that day, saying: 'I am not a binder up, And in my house is neither bread nor garment, Ye do not make me a ruler of the people.'
౭అతడు ఆ రోజున కేక వేసి, ‘నేను సంరక్షణ కర్తగా ఉండను, నాకు ఆహారం గాని, వస్త్రాలు గాని లేవు. నన్ను ప్రజలకు అధిపతిగా నియమించవద్దు’ అంటాడు.”
8 For stumbled hath Jerusalem, and Judah hath fallen, For their tongue and their doings [are] against Jehovah, To provoke the eyes of His glory.
౮తన మాటలు, చేతలు యెహోవాకు విరుద్ధంగా ఉన్నాయి గనుక యెరూషలేము పాడైపోయింది, యూదా పతనమయ్యింది.
9 The appearance of their faces witnessed against them, And their sin, as Sodom, they declared, They have not hidden! Woe to their soul, For they have done to themselves evil.
౯వాళ్ళ ముఖమే వాళ్లకు వ్యతిరేకంగా సాక్ష్యం ఇస్తూ ఉంది. తమ పాపం దాచకుండా సొదొమవాళ్ళలాగా దాన్ని కనపరుస్తారు. వాళ్లకు బాధ! వాళ్ళు తమకు తామే తమ మీదకి ఈ మహా విపత్తు తెచ్చుకున్నారు.
10 Say ye to the righteous, that [it is] good, Because the fruit of their doings they eat.
౧౦నీకు మేలు కలుగుతుందని నీతిమంతుడితో చెప్పు. వాళ్ళు తమ క్రియల ఫలం అనుభవిస్తారు.
11 Woe to the wicked — evil, Because the deed of his hand is done to him.
౧౧దుష్టుడికి బాధ! అతనికి కీడు జరుగుతుంది. అతని చేతి పనుల ఫలం అతడు పొందుతాడు.
12 My people — its exactors [are] sucklings, And women have ruled over it. My people — thy eulogists are causing to err, And the way of thy paths swallowed up.
౧౨చిన్న పిల్లలు నా ప్రజలను హింసిస్తారు. స్త్రీలు వాళ్ళ మీద ఏలుబడి చేస్తారు. నా ప్రజలారా, మీ నాయకులు మిమ్మల్ని మీ మార్గంలో అయోమయం పాలుచేసి తప్పు దోవ పట్టిస్తారు.
13 Jehovah hath stood up to plead, And He is standing to judge the peoples.
౧౩తీర్పు తీర్చడానికి యెహోవా ఆవరణలో నిలిచి ఉన్నాడు. తన ప్రజలకు తీర్పు తీర్చడానికి నిలబడి ఉన్నాడు.
14 Jehovah into judgment doth enter With elders of His people, and its heads: 'And ye, ye have consumed the vineyard, Plunder of the poor [is] in your houses.
౧౪యెహోవా తన ప్రజల పెద్దల మీద, వాళ్ళ నాయకుల మీద తన తీర్పు ప్రకటిస్తాడు. “మీరే ద్రాక్షతోటను తినేశారు. మీరు దోచుకున్న పేదల సొమ్ము మీ ఇళ్ళల్లోనే ఉంది.
15 What — to you? ye bruise My people, And the faces of the poor ye grind.' An affirmation of the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, And Jehovah saith:
౧౫నా ప్రజలను నలగ్గొట్టి, వాళ్ళ ముఖాలు మీరెందుకు నేల రాస్తున్నారు?” అని ప్రభువూ, సేనలకు అధిపతీ అయిన యెహోవా అంటున్నాడు.
16 'Because that daughters of Zion have been haughty, And they walk stretching out the neck, And deceiving [with] the eyes, Walking and mincing they go, And with their feet they make a tinkling,
౧౬యెహోవా చెప్పేదేమంటే, సీయోను కుమార్తెలు పోగరుబోతులు. మెడ చాచి నడుస్తూ, ఓర చూపులు చూస్తూ, కులుకుతో నడుస్తూ, తమ కాళ్ల గజ్జెలు మోగిస్తున్నారు.
17 The Lord also hath scabbed The crown of the head of daughters of Zion, And Jehovah their simplicity exposeth.
౧౭కాబట్టి ప్రభువు సీయోను కుమార్తెల తలల మీద గజ్జి పుండ్లు పుట్టిస్తాడు. వాళ్ళ తలలు యెహోవా బోడి తలలుగా చేస్తాడు.
18 In that day doth the Lord turn aside The beauty of the tinkling ornaments, And of the embroidered works, And of the round tires like moons,
౧౮ఆ రోజున ప్రభువు వాళ్ళ కాళ్ళ గజ్జెలు, శిరోభూషణాలూ, చంద్రవంక నాగరాలూ,
19 Of the drops, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
౧౯చెవిపోగులూ, కడియాలూ, మేలి ముసుగులూ,
20 Of the bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, And of the bands, And of the perfume boxes, and the amulets,
౨౦తలకు కట్టుకునే పాగాలూ, కాళ్ల గొలుసులూ, ఒడ్డాణాలూ, పరిమళ ద్రవ్యపు భరిణెలూ,
21 Of the seals, and of the nose-rings,
౨౧తాయెత్తులు, ఉంగరాలు, ముక్కు కమ్మలు,
22 Of the costly apparel, and of the mantles, And of the coverings, and of the purses,
౨౨ఉత్సవ వస్త్రాలూ, ఉత్తరీయాలూ, పైటలూ, సంచులూ,
23 Of the mirrors, and of the linen garments, And of the hoods, and of the vails,
౨౩చేతి అద్దాలు, సన్ననారతో నేసిన జలతారు ముసుగులు, పాగాలు, శాలువాలు తీసేస్తాడు.
24 And it hath been, instead of spice is muck, And instead of a girdle, a rope, And instead of curled work, baldness, And instead of a stomacher a girdle of sackcloth.
౨౪అప్పుడు పరిమళ ద్రవ్యానికి బదులుగా దుర్గంధం, నడికట్టుకు బదులుగా తాడూ, అల్లిన జడకు బదులుగా బోడి తల, ప్రశస్థమైన పైటకు బదులు గోనెపట్టా, అందానికి బదులు వాత ఉంటాయి.
25 For instead of glory, thy men by sword do fall, And thy might in battle.
౨౫మనుషులు కత్తివాత కూలి పోతారు. యుద్ధంలో నీ శూరులు పడిపోతారు.
26 And lamented and mourned have her openings, Yea, she hath been emptied, on the earth she sitteth!
౨౬యెరూషలేము గుమ్మాలు శోకించి దుఃఖిస్తాయి. ఆమె ఒంటరిదై నేల మీద కూర్చుంటుంది.
