Isaiah 24
1 Lo, Jehovah is emptying the land, And is making it waste, And hath overturned [it on] its face, And hath scattered its inhabitants.
हेर्, परमप्रभुले पृथ्वीलाई रित्तो बनाउन, यसलाई विनाश पार्न, यसको सतहलाई बिगार्न र यसका बासिन्दाहरूलाई तितरबितर पार्न लाग्नुभएको छ ।
2 And it hath been — as a people so a priest, As the servant so his master, As the maid-servant so her mistress, As the buyer so the seller, As the lender so the borrower, As the usurer so he who is lifting [it] on himself.
यो मानिसहरूलाई झैं पुजारीहरूलाई, नोकरलाई झैं मालिकलाई, दासीलाई झैं मलिक्नीलाई, किन्नेलाई झैं बेच्नेलाई, ऋण दिनेलाई झैं ऋण लिनेलाई, ब्याज लिनेलाई झैं ब्याज दिनेलाई हुनेछ ।
3 Utterly emptied is the land, and utterly spoiled, For Jehovah hath spoken this word:
पृथ्वीलाई पुर्ण रूपमा विनाश गरिनेछ र पुर्ण रूपमा नाङ्गो बनाइनेछ । किनकि परमप्रभुले यो वचन बोल्नुभएको छ ।
4 Mourned, faded hath the land, Languished, faded hath the world, Languished have they — the high place of the people of the land.
पृथ्वी सुख्खा हुनेछ र ओइलाउनेछ, संसार सुक्नेछ र ओइलाएर जानेछ। पृथ्वीका विशिष्ट मानिसहरू दुर्बल हुनेछन् ।
5 And the land hath been defiled under its inhabitants, Because they have transgressed laws, They have changed a statute, They have made void a covenant age-during.
पृथ्वीलाई यसका बासिन्दाहरूले दूषित पारेका छन्, किनभने तिनीहरूले व्यवस्था भङ्ग गरेका छन्, नियमहरू तोडेका छन् र अनन्तको करार उलङ्घन गरेका छन् ।
6 Therefore a curse hath consumed the land, And the inhabitants in it are become desolate, Therefore consumed have been inhabitants of the land, And few men have been left.
यसकारण सरापले पृथ्वीलाई विनाश पार्छ र यसका बासिन्दाहरू दोषी भेट्टाइएका छन् । पृथ्वीका बासिन्दाहरू जलाइन्छन् र थोरै मानिसहरू मात्र बाँकी छन् ।
7 Mourned hath the new wine, languished the vine, Sighed have all the joyful of heart.
नयाँ दाखमद्य सुक्छ, दाख ओइलिन्छ, सबै आनन्दि हृदयहरूले शोक गर्छन् ।
8 Ceased hath the joy of tabrets, Ceased hath the noise of exulting ones, Ceased hath the joy of a harp.
खैंजडीको सुमधुर आवाज बन्द हुन्छ र आनन्द मनाउनेहरूको आनन्दको सोर पनि बन्द हुन्छ । वीणाको आनन्द बन्द हुन्छ ।
9 With a song they drink not wine, Bitter is strong drink to those drinking it.
तिनीहरूले फेरि दाखमद्य पिउँदैनन् र गाउँदैनन्, र कडा मद्य पिउनेलाई त्यो तीतो हुन्छ ।
10 It was broken down — a city of emptiness, Shut hath been every house from entrance.
गोलमालको सहरलाई भत्काइएको छ । हरेक घर बन्द गरिएको र रित्तो छ ।
11 A cry over the wine [is] in out-places, Darkened hath been all joy, Removed hath been the joy of the land.
दाखमद्यको कारणले गर्दा सडकमा चिच्याहट छ । सबै आनन्द अन्धकार भएको छ, देशको खुसी लोप भएको छ ।
12 Left in the city [is] desolation, And [with] wasting is the gate smitten.
सहरमा उजाड छोडिएको छ र ढोका भग्नावशेष भएर फुटेको छ ।
13 When thus it is in the heart of the land, In the midst of the peoples, As the compassing of the olive, As gleanings when harvest hath been finished,
किनकि जस्तो जैतूनको रूखलाई हल्लाउँदा, जस्तो अङ्गुर टिप्दा फाटफुट छुट्छ, सारा पृथ्वीभरि जातिहरू माझ यस्तै नै हुनेछ ।
14 They — they lift up their voice, They sing of the excellency of Jehovah, They have cried aloud from the sea.
आफ्नो सोरलाई तिनीहरूले उचाल्नेछन् र परमप्रभुको वैभवको जयजयकार गर्नेछन् र समुद्रबाट आनन्दसाथ कराउनेछन् ।
15 Therefore in prosperity honour ye Jehovah, In isles of the sea, the name of Jehovah, God of Israel.
यसकारण पुर्वमा परमप्रभुको महिमा गर, समुद्रा टापुहरूमा परमप्रभु इस्राएलका परमेश्वरको नाउँलाई महिमा देओ ।
16 From the skirt of the earth we heard songs, The desire of the righteous. And I say, 'Leanness [is] to me, Leanness [is] to me, woe [is] to me.' Treacherous dealers dealt treacherously, Yea, treachery, treacherous dealers dealt treacherously.
हामीले पृथ्वीको सुदूर भागबाट गीतहरू सुनेका छौं, “धर्मी जनको महिमा होस्!” तर मैले भनें, “म सुकेर जाँदैछु, म सुकेर जाँदैछु, मलाई धिक्कार! धोकेबाजले धोकापुर्ण व्यवहार गरेको छ । हो, धोकेबाजले धेरै धोकापुर्ण व्यवहार गरेको छ ।
17 Fear, and a snare, and a gin, [Are] on thee, O inhabitant of the land.
ए पृथ्वीका बासिन्दाहरू, तिमीहरूमाथि त्रास, खाल्डो र पासो आइलागेको छ ।
18 And it hath come to pass, He who is fleeing from the noise of the fear Doth fall into the snare, And he who is coming up from the midst of the snare, Is captured by the gin, For windows on high have been opened, And shaken are foundations of the land.
त्रासको आवाजदेखि भाग्ने खाल्डोमा पर्नेछ, खाल्डोको बिचबाट बाहिर निस्कने पासोमा पर्नेछ । स्वर्गका झ्यालहरू खोलिनेछन् र पृथ्वीका जगहरू हल्लिनेछन् ।
19 Utterly broken down hath been the land, Utterly broken hath been the land, Utterly moved hath been the land.
पृथ्वी पुर्ण रूपमा टुट्नेछ, पृथ्वी चिरा पर्नेछ । पृथ्वीलाई डरलाग्दो किसिमले हल्लाइनेछ ।
20 Stagger greatly doth the land as a drunkard, And it hath been moved as a lodge, And heavy on it hath been its transgression, And it hath fallen, and addeth not to rise.
पृथ्वी मद्यले मातेको मानिसझैं लरखराउनेछ र यो झुप्रोझैं यताउता हल्लिनेछ । यसमाथि यसको पाप भारि हुनेछ र यो पतन हुनेछ अनि फेरि कहिल्यै उठ्नेछैन ।
21 And it hath come to pass, in that day, Jehovah layeth a charge on the host of the high place in the high place, And on the kings of the land on the land.
त्यस दिन परमप्रभुले स्वर्गका सेनाहरूलाई आकाशमा र पृथ्वीका राजाहरूलाई पृथ्वीमा दण्ड दिनुहुनेछ ।
22 And they have been gathered — A gathering of bound ones in a pit, And shut up they have been in a prison, And after a multitude of days are inspected.
तिनीहरूले कैदीको रूपमा खाल्डोमा एकसाथ जम्मा गरिनेछ र झ्यालखानमा बन्द गरिनेछ । अनि धेरै दिनपछि तिनीहरूलाई दण्ड दिइनेछ ।
23 And confounded hath been the moon, And ashamed hath been the sun, For reigned hath Jehovah of Hosts In mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, And over-against His elders — honour!
तब चन्द्रमा लज्जित हुनेछ र सूर्य अपमानमा पर्नेछ, किनकि सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभुले सियोन पर्वतमा र यरूशलेममा अनि महिमामा आफ्ना धर्मगुरुहरूका सामु राज्य गर्नुहुनेछ ।
