< Isaiah 19 >
1 The burden of Egypt. Lo, Jehovah is riding on a swift thick cloud, And He hath entered Egypt, And moved have been the idols of Egypt at His presence, And the heart of Egypt melteth in its midst.
Esiae nye nyagblɔɖi ɖe Egipte ŋu. Kpɔ ɖa, Yehowa ɖi tso dziƒo gbɔna va Egipte kple du le lilikpowo dzi. Egipte legbawo dzo nyanyanya le eŋkume, eye vɔvɔ̃ na be, Egiptetɔwo ƒe dzi lolo ɖe dɔ me na wo.
2 And I armed Egyptians against Egyptians, And they fought, each against his brother, And each against his neighbour, City against city, kingdom against kingdom.
“Mana be Egiptetɔwo nawɔ avu kple wo nɔewo, nɔvi kple nɔvi nawɔ avu, zɔhɛ natso ɖe zɔhɛ ŋu, du natso ɖe du ŋu, eye fiaɖuƒe natso ɖe fiaɖuƒe ŋuti.
3 And emptied out hath been in its midst the spirit of Egypt. And its counsel I swallow up, And they have sought unto the idols, And unto the charmers, And unto those having familiar spirits, And unto the wizards.
Dzi aɖe le Egiptetɔwo ƒo, eye matɔtɔ woƒe ɖoɖowo. Woayi aɖabia nu le legbawo, ŋɔligbɔgbɔwo, ŋɔliyɔlawo kple afakalawo gbɔ.
4 And I have delivered the Egyptians Into the hand of a hard lord, And a strong king doth rule over them, An affirmation of the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts.
Matsɔ Egiptetɔwo ade ŋutasẽla aɖe ƒe ŋusẽ te, eye fia vɔ̃ɖi aɖe aɖu wo dzi.” Aƒetɔ, Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ lae gblɔe.
5 And failed have waters from the sea, And a river is wasted and dried up.
Nil tɔsisi la amie, eye eme aƒu kplakplakpla.
6 And they have turned away the flowings, Weak and dried up have been brooks of the bulwark, Reed and flag have withered.
Tɔʋumetsiwo aƒaƒã, anɔ ʋeʋẽm. Egipte tɔʋuwo hã amie, eye wo me aƒu. Aƒla kple aɖa siwo le tɔsisi la me la ayrɔ.
7 Exposed things by the brook, by the edge of the brook, And every sown thing of the brook, hath withered, It hath been driven away, and is not.
Nenema ke gbe siwo mie ɖe Nil tɔsisi la to kple esiwo mie ɖe tɔsisi la kple ƒu la ƒe godoƒe la hã ayrɔ. Nuku siwo le bo dzi le Nil tɔsisi la to la afia, eye ya aƒo wo adzoe.
8 And lamented have the fishers, And mourned have all casting angle into a brook, And those spreading nets on the face of the waters have languished.
Tɔƒodelawo kple ame siwo doa ƒu ɖe tɔsisi la me la aɖe hũu, afa konyi, eye nenema ke ame siwo daa asabu ɖe tɔa me la hã axa nu.
9 And ashamed have been makers of fine flax, And weavers of net-works.
Ɖetitrelawo abu mɔkpɔkpɔ, nenema kee nye aklalavɔ biɖibiɖiwo lɔ̃lawo hã.
10 And its foundations have been smitten, All making wages [are] afflicted in soul.
Ketelɔlawo ƒe mo atsi daa eye agbatedɔwɔlawo katã ƒe dzi axa nu.
11 Only, fools [are] the princes of Zoan, The counsel of the wise ones of the counsellors of Pharaoh hath become brutish. How say ye unto Pharaoh, 'A son of the wise am I, a son of kings of antiquity?'
Zoan ƒe dumegãwo azu bometsilawo. Farao ƒe aɖaŋuɖola nyanuwo ɖo aɖaŋu manyatalenuwo. Aleke nàte ŋu agblɔ na Farao be, “Menye nunyalawo dometɔ ɖeka, menye blemafiawo ƒe nusrɔ̃la?”
12 Where [are] they now, thy wise ones? Yea, let them tell to thee, I pray thee, And they know what Jehovah of Hosts hath counselled against Egypt!
Afi ka miaƒe nunyalawo le azɔ. Wonegblɔ nu siwo Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la, ɖo ɖe Egipte ŋu la na mí.
13 Foolish have been princes of Zoan, Lifted up have been princes of Noph, And they have caused Egypt to err, The chief of her tribes.
Zoan ƒe dumegãwo zu bometsilawo. Woble Memfis ƒe dukplɔlawo, eye ame siwo nye eƒe dzogoedzikpewo la kplɔ Egipte trae.
14 Jehovah hath mingled in her midst A spirit of perverseness, And they have caused Egypt to err in all its work, As a drunkard erreth in his vomit.
Yehowa tsɔ ŋuzitsɔame ƒe gbɔgbɔ de wo me. Ale wòna Egipte mu sɔgɔsɔgɔ le nu siwo katã wòwɔna la me abe ale si ahanomunɔtɔ mlina le xe si eya ŋutɔ ɖe la me ene.
15 And there is no work to Egypt, That head or tail, branch or reed, may do.
Naneke meli Egipte nawɔ o, ta alo asike, deʋaya alo keti mate ŋu awɔ naneke na Egipte o.
16 In that day is Egypt like women, And it hath mourned, and been afraid, Because of the waving of the hand of Jehovah of Hosts, That He is waving over it.
Ɣe ma ɣi la, Egiptetɔwo azu abe nyɔnuwo ene. Ŋɔ adzi wo woadzo nyanyanya le Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la ƒe asi si wòkɔ dzi ɖe wo ŋuti la ta.
17 And the land of Judah hath been to Egypt for a cause of staggering, Every one who doth mention it, for himself feareth, Because of the counsel of Jehovah of Hosts, That He is counselling against it.
Ne woyɔ Yuda ŋkɔ teti hã la, ŋɔ adzi Egiptetɔwo, eye woƒe dzi age ɖe dɔ me na wo ɖe gbegblẽ si Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la, wɔ ɖe wo ŋu la ta.
18 In that day there are five cities in the land of Egypt, Speaking the lip of Canaan, And swearing to Jehovah of Hosts, 'The city of destruction,' is said of one.
Le ɣe ma ɣi la, du gã atɔ̃ le Egiptenyigba dzi atrɔ adze Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la yome, eye woasrɔ̃ Hebrigbe agblɔ. Woayɔ du siawo dometɔ ɖeka be Heliopolis, Ɣekeklẽdu.
19 In that day there is an altar to Jehovah In the midst of the land of Egypt, And a standing pillar near its border to Jehovah,
Le ŋkeke mawo me la, woaɖi vɔsamlekpui gã aɖe ɖe Egiptenyigba la titina na Yehowa, eye woaɖi ŋkuɖodzikpe ɖe woƒe liƒo dzi na Yehowa.
20 And it hath been for a sign and for a testimony, To Jehovah of Hosts in the land of Egypt, For they cry unto Jehovah from the face of oppressors, And He sendeth to them a saviour, Even a great one, and hath delivered them.
Esiae nye dzesi kple ŋkuɖodzi na Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la, le Egiptenyigba dzi. Ne wodo ɣli na Yehowa le woƒe futɔwo ta la, aɖo ɖela kple ametaʋlila ɖe wo be wòaɖe wo le woƒe futɔwo ƒe asi me.
21 And known hath been Jehovah to Egypt, And the Egyptians have known Jehovah in that day, And done sacrifice and present, And vowed a vow to Jehovah, and completed [it].
Le ŋkeke ma me la, Yehowa aɖe eɖokui afia Egiptetɔwo, woadze si Yehowa, eye woatsɔ woƒe vɔsawo kple nunanawo asubɔe. Woaɖe adzɔgbe na Yehowa, eye woawɔ edzi.
22 And Jehovah hath smitten Egypt, smiting and healing, And they have turned back unto Jehovah, And He hath been entreated of them, And hath healed them.
Yehowa akplɔ dɔvɔ̃ aƒu Egiptetɔwo; aƒo wo, eye wòagayɔ dɔ wo. Woatrɔ ɖe Yehowa ŋu, eye wòase woƒe kukuɖeɖe ahayɔ dɔ wo.
23 In that day is a highway out of Egypt to Asshur, And come in have the Assyrians to Egypt, And the Egyptians into Asshur, And the Egyptians have served with the Assyrians.
Le ŋkeke ma me la, woado mɔ gã aɖe ɖe Egipte kple Asiria dome, Asiriatɔwo azɔ edzi ayi Egipte, Egiptetɔwo hã azɔ edzi ayi Asiria, eye wo kple eve la woasubɔ ɖekae.
24 In that day is Israel third, After Egypt, and after Asshur, A blessing in the heart of the earth.
Ɣe ma ɣi la, Israel, nye etɔ̃lia akpe ɖe Egipte kple Asiria ŋu, esiae nye yayra le anyigba dzi.
25 In that Jehovah of Hosts did bless it, saying, 'Blessed [is] My people — Egypt, And the work of My hands — Asshur, And Mine inheritance — Israel!'
Ale Yehowa, Dziƒoʋakɔwo ƒe Aƒetɔ la ayra wo agblɔ be, “Woayra wò, Egipte, nye dukɔ, Asiria, nye asinudɔwɔwɔ kple wò, Israel, nye domenyinu.”
