Isaiah 17
1 The burden of Damascus. Lo, Damascus is taken away from [being] a city, And it hath been a heap — a ruin.
ದಮಸ್ಕದ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ: ಇಗೋ, ದಮಸ್ಕವು ಇನ್ನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾಗಿರದೆ ಅದು ಹಾಳು ದಿಬ್ಬವಾಗಿರುವುದು.
2 Forsaken are the cities of Aroer, For droves they are, and they have lain down, And there is none troubling.
ಅರೋಯೇರ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ನಿರ್ಜನವಾಗಿ, ಅವು ಯಾರ ಹೆದರಿಕೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಮಲಗುವ ಮಂದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗುವುವು.
3 And ceased hath the fortress from Ephraim, And the kingdom from Damascus, And the remnant of Aram are as the honour of the sons of Israel, The affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts!
ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮಿನಿಂದ ಕೋಟೆಯೂ, ದಮಸ್ಕದ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರವೂ, ಅರಾಮ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದವುಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಇಲ್ಲವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವುವು. ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ವೈಭವದಂತೆ ಇರುವರು ಎಂದು ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
4 And it hath come to pass, in that day, Wax poor doth the honour of Jacob, And the fatness of his flesh doth wax lean.
ಆ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯರ ವೈಭವ ತಗ್ಗುವುದು. ಅವರ ಕೊಬ್ಬು ಕರಗುವುದು.
5 And it hath come to pass, As the gathering by the reaper of the standing corn, And his arm the ears reapeth, And it hath come to pass, As the gathering of the ears in the valley of Rephaim,
ಕೊಯ್ಯುವವನು ಪೈರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕೊಯ್ಯುವಂತೆಯೂ, ರೆಫಾಯಿಮಿನ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಇರುವುದು.
6 And left in him have been gleanings, As the compassing of an olive, Two — three berries on the top of a branch, Four — five on the fruitful boughs, The affirmation of Jehovah, God of Israel!
ಆದರೂ ಎಣ್ಣೆಮರವನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಾಡಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಮೇಲಿನ ಕೊಂಬೆಯ ತುಟ್ಟತುದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮೂರು ಕಾಯಿಗಳಿರುವುವು. ಅದರ ಫಲವತ್ತಾದ ಆ ಮರದ ರೆಂಬೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ಕಾಯಿಗಳು ಉಳಿದಿರುವುವು. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಉಳಿದಿರುವರು, ಎಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.
7 In that day doth man look to His Maker, Yea, his eyes to the Holy One of Israel look,
ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದವರ ಮೇಲೆ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಡುವರು ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.
8 And he looketh not unto the altars. The work of his own hands, And that which his own fingers made He seeth not — the shrines and the images.
ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಕೆಲಸವಾದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸುವರು. ಬೆರಳುಗಳು ಮಾಡಿದ ಧೂಪಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನು, ಅಶೇರ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು ಗೌರವಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
9 In that day are the cities of his strength As the forsaken thing of the forest, And the branch that they have left, Because of the sons of Israel, It also hath been a desolation.
ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಬಲವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ದಟ್ಟಡವಿಯ ಹಾಗಿದ್ದು ಹಾಳುಬೀಳುವುದು. ಅಂತು ದೇಶವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳಾಗಿರುವದು.
10 Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, And the rock of thy strength hast not remembered, Therefore thou plantest plants of pleasantness, And with a strange slip sowest it,
ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮರೆತು, ನಿನ್ನ ಬಂಡೆಯೂ, ಕೋಟೆಯೂ ಆಗಿರುವವರನ್ನು ಮರೆತು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ. ನೀನು ರಮ್ಯವಾದ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶಾಂತರದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ಸಸಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದರೂ,
11 In the day thy plant thou causest to become great, And in the morning thy seed makest to flourish, A heap [is] the harvest in a day of overflowing, And of mortal pain.
ಬೆಳೆಸಲು ಸಸಿಯನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಲಿಹಾಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಹೊತ್ತಾರೆ ನೀನು ಬಿತ್ತಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಮೊಳೆಯುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೂ, ರೋಗದ ಹಾಗೂ ಗುಣಪಡಿಸಲಾರದ ಬೇನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸುಗ್ಗಿ ಏನೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
12 Woe [to] the multitude of many peoples, As the sounding of seas they sound; And [to] the wasting of nations, As the wasting of mighty waters they are wasted.
ಆಹಾ, ಸಮುದ್ರವು ಭೋರ್ಗರೆಯುವಂತೆ ಭೋರ್ಗರೆಯುವ ಬಹು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಗದ್ದಲ! ಮಹಾ ಜಲಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳು ಘೋಷಿಸುವಂತೆ ಘೋಷಿಸುವ ಜನಗಳ ಘೋಷ!
13 Nations as the wasting of many waters are wasted, And He hath pushed against it, And it hath fled afar off, And been pursued as chaff of hills before wind, And as a rolling thing before a hurricane.
ಪ್ರಚಂಡ ಜಲಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳು ಘೋಷಿಸುವಂತೆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳು ಘೋಷಿಸುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ, ಅವರು ದೂರಹೋಗಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಹೊಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಸುಂಟರಗಾಳಿಯಿಂದ ಸುತ್ತಿ ಆಡುವ ಧೂಳಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವರು.
14 At even-time, lo, terror, before morning it is not, This [is] the portion of our spoilers, And the lot of our plunderers!
ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತಿ, ಉದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಂಚೆ ಅವು ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗುವುದು. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಸೂರೆ ಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಇದೇ ಗತಿ. ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆಯುವವರ ಪಾಡು ಇದೇ.
