< Isaiah 16 >
1 Send ye a lamb [to] the ruler of the land, From Selah in the wilderness, Unto the mount of the daughter of Zion.
Voye mouton tribi a bay gouvènè peyi a, soti nan Sela pa wout dezè a, jis rive nan mòn a fi Sion an.
2 And it hath come to pass, As a wandering bird, a nest cast out, Are daughters of Moab, [at] fords of Arnon.
Li va rive ke tankou zwazo k ap sove ale, oswa k ap gaye sòti nan nich yo, fi Moab yo va parèt kote pou janbe Arnon an.
3 Bring ye in counsel, do judgment, Make as night thy shadow in the midst of noon, Hide outcasts, the wanderer reveal not.
“Bannou konsèy! Fè yon desizyon! Voye lonbraj ou tankou lannwit nan gran lajounen! Kache sila ki san abri yo! Pa trayi refijye a!
4 Sojourn in thee do My outcasts, O Moab, Be a secret hiding-place to them, From the face of a destroyer, For ceased hath the extortioner, Finished hath been a destroyer, Consumed the treaders down out of the land.
Kite refijye Moab yo rete avè w! Devni yon kote pou yo kache kont destriktè a.” Paske opresè yo p ap reyisi. Destriksyon an va sispann. Opresè ap disparèt nèt nan peyi a.
5 And established in kindness is the throne, And [one] hath sat on it in truth, in the tent of David, Judging and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
Yon twòn va etabli avèk lanmou dous, e yon jij va chita ak fidelite sou li nan tant David la. Li va chache jistis e va fè vit pou etabli ladwati.
6 We have heard of the pride of Moab — very proud, His pride, and his arrogance, and his wrath, Not right [are] his devices.
Nou konn tande afè ògèy Moab la, yon ògèy ki depase; afè awogans li an, ògèy li a, ak gwo kòlè li a. Pawòl anfle ògèy li pa anyen.
7 Therefore howl doth Moab for Moab, all of it doth howl, For the grape-cakes of Kir-Hareseth it meditateth, Surely they are smitten.
Pou sa, Moab va rele anmwey; tout sila nan Moab yo va plenyen anlè. Ou va plenyen pou gato rezen a Kir-Haréseth kon sila konplètman frape yo.
8 Because fields of Heshbon languish, The vine of Sibmah, Lords of nations did beat her choice vines, Unto Jazer they have come, They have wandered in a wilderness, Her plants have spread themselves, They have passed over a sea.
9 Therefore I weep with the weeping of Jazer, The vine of Sibmah, I water thee [with] my tear, O Heshbon and Elealeh, For — for thy summer fruits, and for thy harvest, The shouting hath fallen.
Pou sa, Mwen va kriye byen fò pou Jaezer, pou chan Sibma a. Mwen va tranpe nou nèt ak dlo k ap sòti nan zye m, O Hesbon ak Élealé, paske sou fwi gran sezon nou yo ak rekòlt nou yo gen gwo lagè.
10 And removed have been gladness and joy from the fruitful field, And in vineyards they sing not, nor shout, Wine in the presses treadeth not the treader, Shouting I have caused to cease.
Kè kontan ak lajwa sou chan fètil la ale. Nan chan rezen yo tou, p ap genyen chante a, ni gwo kri egzaltasyon yo, ni ouvriye k ap foule diven anba pye li nan peze yo. Mwen te fè kriye sa yo sispann.
11 Therefore my bowels for Moab as a harp do sound, And mine inward parts for Kir-Haresh.
Pou sa, kè mwen sone tankou ap pou Moab ak santiman anndan mwen pou Kir-Haréseth.
12 And it hath come to pass, when it hath been seen, That weary hath been Moab on the high place, And he hath come unto his sanctuary to pray, And is not able.
Konsa, li va rive ke lè Moab prezante tèt li, lè l fin fatige kò l sou wo plas li e rive nan sanktiyè li a pou fè lapriyè, li p ap reyisi.
13 This [is] the word that Jehovah hath spoken unto Moab from that time,
Se pawòl sa a ke SENYÈ a te pale avan sa sou Moab.
14 And now hath Jehovah spoken, saying, 'In three years, as years of an hireling, Lightly esteemed is the honour of Moab, With all the great multitude, And the remnant [is] little, small, not mighty!'
Men koulye a, SENYÈ a pale e di: “Avan twazan fin rive, jan yon anplwaye ta konte yo, glwa a Moab la va vin degrade ansanm ak tout gwo kantite pèp li a, e retay li va vin piti e san fòs.”
