Isaiah 12

1 And thou hast said in that day: 'I thank thee, O Jehovah, Though Thou hast been angry with me, Turn back doth Thine anger, And Thou dost comfort me.

Et tu diras en ce jour: "Je te remercie, ô Seigneur, d’avoir fait éclater sur moi ta colère! Car ta colère s’apaise, et tu me consoles.

2 Lo, God [is] my salvation, I trust, and fear not, For my strength and song [is] Jah Jehovah, And He is to me for salvation.

Oui! Dieu est mon salut; j’espère et ne crains point; car ma force et ma gloire, c’est Dieu, l’Eternel! C’Est lui qui m’a sauvé!"

3 And ye have drawn waters with joy Out of the fountains of salvation,

Vous puiserez avec allégresse les eaux de cette source salutaire;

4 And ye have said in that day, Give ye praise to Jehovah, call in His name. Make known among the peoples His acts. Make mention that set on high is His name.

et vous direz en ce jour: "Rendez hommage à l’Eternel, invoquez son nom, célébrez ses œuvres parmi les peuples; proclamez que son nom est grand!

5 Praise ye Jehovah, for excellence He hath done, Known is this in all the earth.

Chantez l’Eternel, il a fait des choses glorieuses; qu’elles soient divulguées par toute la terre!

6 Cry aloud, and sing, O inhabitant of Zion, For great in thy midst [is] the Holy One of Israel!'

Triomphe et chante, toi qui habites Sion, car il s’est montré grand en toi, le Saint d’Israël!
