< Genesis 24 >
1 And Abraham [is] old, he hath entered into days, and Jehovah hath blessed Abraham in all [things];

2 and Abraham saith unto his servant, the eldest of his house, who is ruling over all that he hath, 'Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh,

3 and I cause thee to swear by Jehovah, God of the heavens, and God of the earth, that thou dost not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanite, in the midst of whom I am dwelling;
mpe lapa ndayi na Kombo na Yawe, Nzambe oyo asala likolo mpe mokili, ete okozwela te mwana na ngai ya mobali mwasi kati na bana basi ya Kanana, ba-oyo nazali kovanda kati na bango.
4 but unto my land and unto my kindred dost thou go, and hast taken a wife for my son, for Isaac.'
Kasi okokende na mokili na ngai mpe na libota na ngai, mpe okozwa mwasi moko mpo na Izaki, mwana na ngai ya mobali.
5 And the servant saith unto him, 'It may be the woman is not willing to come after me unto this land; do I at all cause thy son to turn back unto the land from whence thou camest out?'
Mosali atunaki ye: — Tango mosusu mwasi yango akolinga na ye te kolanda ngai na mokili oyo. Boni, nakoki na ngai kozongisa mwana na yo ya mobali na mokili epai wapi owuta?
6 And Abraham saith unto him, 'Take heed to thyself, lest thou cause my son to turn back thither;
Abrayami alobaki: — Keba na yo! Kozongisa mwana na ngai kuna te.
7 Jehovah, God of the heavens, who hath taken me from the house of my father, and from the land of my birth, and who hath spoken to me, and who hath sworn to me, saying, To thy seed I give this land, He doth send His messenger before thee, and thou hast taken a wife for my son from thence;
Yawe, Nzambe ya likolo, oyo abimisaki ngai na ndako ya tata na ngai mpe na mokili epai wapi nabotama, oyo alobaki na ngai mpe alakaki ngai na nzela ya ndayi ete akopesa mokili oyo na bakitani na ngai, akotindela yo anjelu na Ye mpo ete azala liboso na yo mpe mpo ete okoka koyela mwana na ngai ya mobali mwasi ya mokili wana.
8 and if the woman be not willing to come after thee, then thou hast been acquitted from this mine oath: only my son thou dost not cause to turn back thither.'
Soki mwasi yango aboyi na ye kolanda yo, wana okangolami na ndayi oyo nazali kosenga yo kolapa. Kasi komeka kozongisa mwana na ngai ya mobali kuna te.
9 And the servant putteth his hand under the thigh of Abraham his lord, and sweareth to him concerning this matter.
Boye, mosali atiaki loboko na se ya mopende ya Abrayami, nkolo na ye, alapaki ndayi ya kosala makambo yango.
10 And the servant taketh ten camels of the camels of his lord and goeth, also of all the goods of his lord in his hand, and he riseth, and goeth unto Aram-Naharaim, unto the city of Nahor;
Bongo mosali azwaki bashamo zomi kati na bashamo ya nkolo na ye elongo na biloko ya ndenge na ndenge oyo eleki kitoko; akendeki na Arami mpe azwaki nzela ya engumba ya Naori.
11 and he causeth the camels to kneel at the outside of the city, at the well of water, at even-time, at the time of the coming out of the women who draw water.
Tango akomaki kuna, avandisaki bashamo pembeni ya libulu ya mayi, na libanda ya engumba. Ezalaki na pokwa, na tango oyo basi babimaka mpo na kotoka mayi.
12 And he saith, 'Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, cause to meet, I pray Thee, before me this day — (and do kindness with my lord Abraham;
Abondelaki: « Eh Yawe, Nzambe ya Abrayami, nkolo na ngai, longisa ngai na mokolo ya lelo mpe lakisa bolamu na Yo epai ya Abrayami, nkolo na ngai.
13 lo, I am standing by the fountain of water, and daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water;
Tala, natelemi pene ya libulu ya mayi mpe bana basi ya engumba bazali kobima mpo na koya kotoka mayi.
14 and it hath been, the young person unto whom I say, Incline, I pray thee, thy pitcher, and I drink, and she hath said, Drink, and I water also thy camels) — her Thou hast decided for Thy servant, for Isaac; and by it I know that Thou hast done kindness with my lord.'
Tika ete mwana mwasi oyo nakoloba na ye: ‹ Nabondeli yo, tengemisa mbeki na yo mpo ete namela mayi, › mpe ye akozongisela ngai: ‹ Mela na yo, mpe nakomelisa lisusu bashamo na yo, › azala mwasi oyo oponi mpo na Izaki, mosali na Yo. Na nzela oyo, nakoyeba ete olakisi bolamu na Yo epai ya nkolo na ngai. »
15 And it cometh to pass, before he hath finished speaking, that lo, Rebekah (who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, wife of Nahor, brother of Abraham) is coming out, and her pitcher on her shoulder,
Liboso ete asilisa kosambela, Rebeka abimaki na mbeki na ye na lipeka. Azalaki mwana mwasi ya Betweli, mwana mobali ya Milika oyo azalaki mwasi ya Naori, ndeko ya Abrayami.
16 and the young person [is] of very good appearance, a virgin, and a man hath not known her; and she goeth down to the fountain, and filleth her pitcher, and cometh up.
Elenge mwasi azalaki kitoko penza, ayebaki nanu nzoto ya mibali te; ata mobali moko te asangisaki na ye nzoto. Akitaki na libulu ya mayi, atondisaki mbeki na ye mpe amataki.
17 And the servant runneth to meet her, and saith, 'Let me swallow, I pray thee, a little water from thy pitcher;'
Mosali akimaki mbangu mpo na kokutana na ye mpe alobaki: — Nabondeli yo, tika ngai namela ndambo ya mayi na mbeki na yo.
18 and she saith, 'Drink, my lord;' and she hasteth, and letteth down her pitcher upon her hand, and giveth him drink.
Mwana mwasi alobaki: — Mela na yo, nkolo na ngai! Akitisaki mbeki mbangu na maboko na ye mpe apesaki ye mpo ete amela.
19 And she finisheth giving him drink, and saith, 'Also for thy camels I draw till they have finished drinking;'
Sima na kopesa ye mayi ya komela, alobaki: — Nakotoka lisusu mayi mpo na bashamo na yo nyonso kino ekosilisa komela.
20 and she hasteth, and emptieth her pitcher into the drinking-trough, and runneth again unto the well to draw, and draweth for all his camels.
Asalaki na lombangu mpe asopaki mayi nyonso ya mbeki na ye na esika oyo banyama emelelaka mayi; akimaki lisusu na libulu mpe atokaki mayi mpo na bashamo na ye nyonso.
21 And the man, wondering at her, remaineth silent, to know whether Jehovah hath made his way prosperous or not.
Mosali azalaki kotala ye na bokebi, alobaki eloko moko te mpo na koyeba soki Yawe alongisi mobembo na ye to te.
22 And it cometh to pass when the camels have finished drinking, that the man taketh a golden ring (whose weight [is] a bekah), and two bracelets for her hands (whose weight [is] ten [bekahs] of gold),
Tango bashamo esilisaki komela mayi, mosali azwaki lopete moko ya wolo, oyo batiaka na zolo mpe ezalaki ya bagrame motoba. Azwaki mpe basheneti mibale ya wolo: moko na moko ezalaki na bagrame koleka nkama moko.
23 and saith, 'Whose daughter [art] thou? declare to me, I pray thee, is the house of thy father a place for us to lodge in?'
Atunaki ye: — Ozali mwana mwasi ya nani? Nabondeli yo, yebisa ngai. Boni, esika ekoki komonana na ndako ya tata na yo mpo na biso mpo ete tolekisa kuna butu?
24 And she saith unto him, 'I [am] daughter of Bethuel, son of Milcah, whom she hath borne to Nahor.'
Azongiselaki ye: — Nazali mwana ya Betweli, mwana mobali ya Milika mpe Naori.
25 She saith also unto him, 'Both straw and provender [are] abundant with us, also a place to lodge in.'
Abakisaki: — Tozali na matiti mpe biloko ebele ya koleisa bibwele; tozali mpe na esika mpo na yo mpo ete olekisa butu.
26 And the man boweth, and doth obeisance to Jehovah,
Boye, mosali akitisaki moto na ye na se mpe agumbamelaki Yawe.
27 and saith, 'Blessed [is] Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, who hath not left off His kindness and His truth with my lord; — I [being] in the way, Jehovah hath led me to the house of my lord's brethren.'
Alobaki: « Tika ete Yawe, Nzambe ya nkolo na ngai, Abrayami, akumisama; Ye oyo atiki te kolakisa bolamu na Ye mpe boyengebene na Ye epai ya nkolo na ngai, pamba te atambolisi ngai na mobembo kino na ndako ya bandeko ya nkolo na ngai! »
28 And the young person runneth, and declareth to the house of her mother according to these words.
Elenge mwasi akimaki mbangu na ndako mpe alobaki epai ya mama na ye makambo oyo elekaki.
29 And Rebekah hath a brother, and his name [is] Laban, and Laban runneth unto the man who [is] without, unto the fountain;
Rebeka azalaki na ndeko moko ya mobali oyo kombo na ye ezalaki « Labani. » Ye mpe abimaki mbangu mpo na kokutana na mosali ya Abrayami kuna na libulu ya mayi.
30 yea, it cometh to pass, when he seeth the ring, and the bracelets on the hands of his sister, and when he heareth the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, 'Thus hath the man spoken unto me,' that he cometh in unto the man, and lo, he is standing by the camels by the fountain.

31 And he saith, 'Come in, O blessed one of Jehovah, why standest thou without, and I — I have prepared the house and place for the camels!'
Alobaki: « Yaka na ndako na biso, yo oyo opambolama na Yawe. Mpo na nini otelemi awa na libanda? Nabongisi ndako mpe esika mpo na bashamo. »
32 And he bringeth in the man into the house, and looseth the camels, and giveth straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the feet of the men who [are] with him:
Boye mosali ya Abrayami akotaki na ndako ya Labani, mpe bakitisaki biloko oyo ezalaki na likolo ya bashamo. Bamemaki bashamo na ye na esika oyo ezalaki na matiti mpe bilei ya banyama. Bamemaki mpe mayi mpo na ye mpe mpo na bato oyo bazalaki elongo na ye mpo ete basukola makolo.
33 and setteth before him to eat; but he saith, 'I do not eat till I have spoken my word;' and he saith, 'Speak.'
Batielaki ye lisusu biloko ya kolia, kasi alobaki: — Nakoki kolia te kino nakosilisa koloba makambo nyonso oyo nazali na yango. Labani alobaki na ye: — Yebisa biso makambo yango.
34 And he saith, 'I [am] Abraham's servant;
Azongisaki: — Nazali mosali ya Abrayami.
35 and Jehovah hath blessed my lord exceedingly, and he is great; and He giveth to him flock, and herd, and silver, and gold, and men-servants, and maid-servants, and camels, and asses;
Yawe apambola mingi nkolo na ngai mpe akomisa ye mozwi: apesa ye bameme, bantaba, bangombe, palata mpe wolo, basali ya mibali mpe ya basi, ba-ane mpe bashamo.
36 and Sarah, my lord's wife, beareth a son to my lord, after she hath been aged, and he giveth to him all that he hath.
Sara, mwasi ya nkolo na ngai, na kimobange na ye, abotelaki nkolo na ngai mwana mobali, mpe nkolo na ngai apesaki biloko na ye nyonso epai ya mwana yango.
37 'And my lord causeth me to swear, saying, Thou dost not take a wife to my son from the daughters of the Canaanite, in whose land I am dwelling.
Nzokande, nkolo na ngai alapisaki ngai ndayi na maloba oyo: « Kati na bana basi ya Kanana epai wapi nazali kovanda, okozwela mwana na ngai mwasi awa te.
38 If not — unto the house of my father thou dost go, and unto my family, and thou hast taken a wife for my son.
Kasi okokende na libota ya tata na ngai mpe na ekolo na ngai, kuna nde okozwa mwasi mpo na mwana na ngai ya mobali. »
39 'And I say unto my lord, It may be the woman doth not come after me;
Nazongiselaki nkolo na ngai: « Tango mosusu, mwasi yango akolinga na ye kolanda ngai te. »
40 and he saith unto me, Jehovah, before whom I have walked habitually, doth send His messenger with thee, and hath prospered thy way, and thou hast taken a wife for my son from my family, and from the house of my father;
Mpe ye alobaki na ngai lisusu: « Yawe oyo natambolaki liboso na Ye akotinda anjelu na Ye elongo na yo mpe akolongisa mobembo na yo mpo ete ozwela mwana na ngai ya mobali mwasi oyo akowuta na ekolo na ngai mpe na libota ya tata na ngai.
41 then art thou acquitted from my oath, when thou comest unto my family, and if they give not [one] to thee; then thou hast been acquitted from my oath.
Boye tango okokende na ekolo na ngai, soki baboyi kopesa yo ye, okozala na ngambo te na ndayi oyo nalapisi yo. »
42 'And I come to-day unto the fountain, and I say, Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, if Thou art, I pray Thee, making prosperous my way in which I am going —
Nzokande lelo, tango nakomaki na libulu ya mayi, nasambelaki: « Oh Yawe, Nzambe ya nkolo na ngai, Abrayami, nabondeli Yo, longisa mobembo na ngai.
43 (lo, I am standing by the fountain of water), then the virgin who is coming out to draw, and I have said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee, a little water from thy pitcher,
Tala ngai, natelemi pembeni ya libulu oyo ya mayi, elenge mwasi oyo akobima mpo na koya kotoka mayi mpe oyo nakoloba na ye: ‹ Nabondeli yo, nakoki kozwa ndambo ya mayi ya komela na mbeki na yo? ›
44 and she hath said unto me, Both drink thou, and also for thy camels I draw — she is the woman whom Jehovah hath decided for my lord's son.
Mpe ye akozongisela ngai: ‹ Mela na yo, mpe nakotoka lisusu mayi mpo na bashamo na yo, › tika ete ye nde azala mwasi oyo Yawe aponi mpo na mwana mobali ya nkolo na ngai. »
45 'Before I finish speaking unto my heart, then lo, Rebekah is coming out, and her pitcher on her shoulder, and she goeth down to the fountain, and draweth; and I say unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee,
Liboso ete nasilisa kosambela kati na motema na ngai, Rebeka abimaki na mbeki na lipeka na ye. Akitaki na libulu ya mayi mpe atokaki mayi. Nalobaki na ye: « Nabondeli yo, pesa ngai mayi ya komela. »
46 and she hasteth and letteth down her pitcher from off her and saith, Drink, and thy camels also I water; and I drink, and the camels also she hath watered.
Akitisaki mbangu mbeki na ye wuta na lipeka na ye mpe alobaki: « Mela na yo, mpe nakomelisa lisusu bashamo na yo. » Boye namelaki mayi, mpe amelisaki lisusu bashamo mayi.
47 'And I ask her, and say, Whose daughter [art] thou? and she saith, Daughter of Bethuel, son of Nahor, whom Milcah hath borne to him, and I put the ring on her nose, and the bracelets on her hands,
Natunaki ye: « Ozali mwana mwasi ya nani? » Azongisaki: « Nazali mwana mwasi ya Betweli, mwana mobali oyo Milika abotelaki Naori. » Boye natiaki lopete na zolo na ye mpe basheneti na maboko na ye.
48 and I bow, and do obeisance before Jehovah, and I bless Jehovah, God of my lord Abraham, who hath led me in the true way to receive the daughter of my lord's brother for his son.
Nakitisaki elongi na se mpe nagumbamelaki Yawe; nakumisaki Yawe, Nzambe ya nkolo na ngai, Abrayami, oyo atambolisaki ngai na nzela ya sembo mpo na kozwela mwana na ye ya mobali mwana mwasi ya ndeko ya nkolo na ngai.
49 'And now, if ye are dealing kindly and truly with my lord, declare to me; and if not, declare to me; and I turn unto the right or unto the left.'
Mpe sik’oyo, boyebisa ngai soki bokosalela nkolo na ngai bolamu mpe boyengebene. Soki te, boyebisa ngai mpo ete naluka nzela mosusu.
50 And Laban answereth — Bethuel also — and they say, 'The thing hath gone out from Jehovah; we are not able to speak unto thee bad or good;
Labani mpe Betweli bazongisaki: — Makambo oyo nyonso ewuti epai na Yawe. Tozali na likambo mosusu te ya koloba na yo.
51 lo, Rebekah [is] before thee, take and go, and she is a wife to thy lord's son, as Jehovah hath spoken.'
Tala Rebeka, azali liboso na yo! Kamata ye mpe kende na ye; mpe tika ete azala mwasi ya mwana mobali ya nkolo na yo, ndenge Yawe abongisi.
52 And it cometh to pass, when the servant of Abraham hath heard their words, that he boweth himself towards the earth before Jehovah;
Tango mosali ya Abrayami ayokaki makambo oyo bayebisaki ye, akitisaki elongi na ye kino na se liboso ya Yawe.
53 and the servant taketh out vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and giveth to Rebekah; precious things also he hath given to her brother and to her mother.
Abimisaki biloko ya wolo, ya palata mpe bilamba; bongo apesaki yango na Rebeka. Apesaki mpe bakado ya motuya epai ya ndeko na ye ya mobali mpe epai ya mama na ye.
54 And they eat and drink, he and the men who [are] with him, and lodge all night; and they rise in the morning, and he saith, 'Send me to my lord;'
Sima na yango, mosali ya Abrayami mpe bato oyo bazalaki elongo na ye baliaki, bamelaki mpe balekisaki butu kati na ndako wana. Na tongo, tango balamukaki, mosali ya Abrayami alobaki na bango: — Botika ete nazonga epai ya nkolo na ngai.
55 and her brother saith — her mother also — 'Let the young person abide with us a week or ten days, afterwards doth she go.'
Ndeko mobali mpe mama ya Rebeka bazongisaki: — Tika ete elenge mwasi atikala nanu elongo na biso mikolo zomi, sima nde bokoki kokende.
56 And he saith unto them, 'Do not delay me, seeing Jehovah hath prospered my way; send me away, and I go to my lord;'
Kasi alobaki na bango: — Bowumisa ngai te, pamba te Yawe alongisi mobembo na ngai; botika ngai kokende mpo ete nazonga epai ya nkolo na ngai.
57 and they say, 'Let us call for the young person, and ask at her mouth;'
Balobaki na ye: — Tika ete tobenga elenge mwasi mpe totuna posa na ye.
58 and they call for Rebekah, and say unto her, 'Dost thou go with this man?' and she saith, 'I go.'
Babengaki Rebeka mpe batunaki ye: — Ondimi solo kokende na mobali oyo? Rebeka azongisaki: — Iyo, nandimi.
59 And they send away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men;
Boye batikaki ndeko na bango ya mwasi Rebeka ete akende elongo na mama oyo asungaka ye, na mosali ya Abrayami elongo na bato na ye.
60 and they bless Rebekah, and say to her, 'Thou [art] our sister; become thou thousands of myriads, and thy seed doth possess the gate of those hating it.'
Bapambolaki Rebeka mpe balobaki na ye: « Ndeko na biso ya mwasi, tika ete okoma mama ya nkoto ya bato, mpe tika ete bana na yo bakamata bingumba ya banguna na bango! »
61 And Rebekah and her young women arise, and ride on the camels, and go after the man; and the servant taketh Rebekah and goeth.
Boye Rebeka elongo na basali na ye ya basi batelemaki, bamataki likolo ya bashamo mpe balandaki mosali ya Abrayami. Bongo mosali ya Abrayami akamataki Rebeka mpe bakendeki na ye nzela moko.
62 And Isaac hath come in from the entrance of the Well of the Living One, my Beholder; and he is dwelling in the land of the south,
Nzokande, Izaki azalaki kovanda na Negevi mpe awutaki na libulu ya mayi na Lakai-Royi.
63 and Isaac goeth out to meditate in the field, at the turning of the evening, and he lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, camels are coming.
Na pokwa, Izaki akendeki na bilanga mpo na kozwa tango ya kokanisa na bozindo. Tango atombolaki miso, amonaki bashamo kopusana pene ya esika oyo azalaki.
64 And Rebekah lifteth up her eyes, and seeth Isaac, and alighteth from off the camel;
Tango Rebeka mpe atombolaki miso, amonaki Izaki mpe akitaki wuta na shamo na ye.
65 and she saith unto the servant, 'Who [is] this man who is walking in the field to meet us?' and the servant saith, 'It [is] my lord;' and she taketh the veil, and covereth herself.
Atunaki mosali ya Abrayami: — Nazali komona mobali moko kati na bilanga, azali koya kokutana na biso; azali nani? Mosali ya Abrayami azongisaki: — Azali nkolo na ngai. Bongo Rebeka azwaki vwale na ye mpe amizipaki na elongi.
66 And the servant recounteth to Isaac all the things that he hath done,
Mosali ya Abrayami ayebisaki Izaki makambo nyonso oyo asalaki.
67 and Isaac bringeth her in unto the tent of Sarah his mother, and he taketh Rebekah, and she becometh his wife, and he loveth her, and Isaac is comforted after [the death of] his mother.
Na yango, Izaki amemaki Rebeka kati na ndako ya kapo ya mama na ye Sara, azwaki ye mpo ete azala mwasi na ye mpe alingaki ye. Boye Izaki abondisamaki na kufa ya mama na ye.
